And a warm welcome back from her hiatus, our data admin, Hail!

Yarr, Pirate Day Weekend was more fun than a barrel o’ rum! Cap’n Jack Skillow docked once more in Mistica’s port, an’ he brought with him quite a bounty; we were up to our necks in everything from Pommes and Planks to Books and Cannonballs. Though he be departin’ once more now that the celebration has ended, Cap’n Jack Skillow was sure to leave us with a copy of his trusty Treasure Map.

Books, books, and more books: the shops are overflowing, and Misticans are scrambling to keep up with their pets’ thirst for knowledge! This year’s Book Day Weekend was quite busy, including the release of twelve new books as well as a shiny new avatar. However, while it is a much-loved holiday on the Mistican calendar, those of us who are still fervently stalking various shops for the new books are somewhat glad that Book Day only comes once a year.

Complete with chocolate, piñatas, and even a snazzy new layout, this year’s Frodrinn Day festivities just couldn’t be beat! The Overgrown Frodrinn even sprouted up to join us, and the Oceanic Frodrinn swam up from Sango Reef to party with the rest of Mistica!

The petsite industry is a pretty small world for the most part.

Very recently, a rather large site closed down suddenly. Without word to staff or site members. While we cannot help them by returning what was lost, we are able to offer a temporary refuge and open our doors to them.


This post is an invitation for any displaced NutrinoPet members to come by and give Misticpets a try. We have opened a new temporary forum, to help you reconnect and find your friends and regroup after the devastating loss.

The flash game system has been updated! You may now send scores from each game 3 times during the day. The points have been adjusted as they relate to MC to be a bit more fair, and there is a ceiling of 20,000 MC earned per submission.

This may help some of you wicked Draklaita's Block Players quite a bit in regards to your earning potential!

Please welcome the Zodiac Braenon. It appears that this Braenon wanted to make a fashionably late entrance. And what a stunning show it has made!

Did you know that superstitions abound for this amazing creature of Mistica? Tune in when the newest edition of the Mistica Chronicles are released this weekend, but here is a glimpse!

The sighting of a normal Braenon's serene pink and blue color scheme is typically thought to be a sign that any present conflicts will soon be resolved, in the community as a whole or simply between squabbling neighbors. If no conflicts exist, it is a sign that none are to come in the near future and that whoever sighted this elusive creature can expect to enjoy a peaceful existence for a long time to come.

The nocturnal Braenon is said to be a sign that the year's season of long and warm days is set to be short, with the cooler Autumn winds coming in more quickly than usual. This typically signals to farmers that they must plant much earlier than they would usually in order to prevent the death of highly cold-sensitive vegetation. It also symbolizes an early and fruitful harvest, making the Nocturnal Braenon both a nuisance and a blessing.
