Mistic Pets

Deep within the forest, a mischievious imp skirted the moonlit paths and kept to the shadows as he kept alert to any noise from the forest surrounding him. He paused as he saw a flitting shape take form ahead of him, caught in the bright moonlight that cast so many delicious shadows, but also cast this visage in such bright relief. His eyes glazed over as he was caught in a fanciful daydream...

There was a bow in his hair. A bright pink ribbony bow, in his HAIR. And he liked it. He skipped along a path, cringing inwardly at the appealing though of picking daisies came into his mind. He gathered a posey and spun about in the sunshine that felt so warm on his skin. He saw himself reaching the pomme tree, begging with laughter in his voice for a treat for the day. He salivated at the thought of gobbling the little pommerainian up at first glance, but found himself instead... playing with it! He ran through the fields, the flowers falling from his fingertips as he played with his... friend?

With a gasp he shook himself awake, relieved to still be in the shadows of the forest. Not a single bloom could be seen to mock him in his terror. He set off, the paint brush in his hand now had a purpose, he'd try to blot out the rainbow companion that had been with him in his dream, he'd never be able to forget that revolting rainbow visage.


Elsewhere in the forest, the moons of Mistica shone so brightly throughout the land, giving comfort to many. Although the brightness of their light seemed to deepen every shadow. The world was unearthly quiet this evening. All across the land, citzens were trying to hold on and not succumb to what should have been the sweet release of sleep.

Tinne, a normally cheerful sprite watched at the window to her dwelling. Her normally bright eyes and sparkling demeanor dimmed by the circumstances that lead to her frightful stare out into the darkness of the forest. As she watched the dancing shadows, she fell almost unaware into the dark expanse of her mind. Falling without knowing where she'd land, she felt herself flail about, willing her mind to keep the terror at bay, her body to still her pounding heart.

The shadows reached for her, clawing at her and threatening to tear her to bits as maniacal laughter filled her ears and she lost the will to do anything but scream her terror aloud. Giving voice to her fears only made the nightmare intensify as a million eyes stared her down and the laughter mocked her mercilessly.

She awoke covered in sweat, her eyes darting about the room. She rose to her feet to light ever lantern in the house so as to not leave a single shadow that could haunt her. She'd never forget the sight that featured so prominently in her nightmare...

Lurking in the shadows, waiting to strike....


But perhaps your nightmares have a slightly more rainbow hue?

We are officially on our new server!! I've noticed a remarked difference in lag already, and I hope everyone else is as well.

Unfortunately, there are a couple kinks to work out, but we are working on it.

Please comment if you run into any issues, other than ones that will be added to this news post.

1- Shop modals are NOT working! I just forwarded this to the server tech to see what may have gotten jostled in the move.
1.5-Inventory Modals. I believe the two are tied together with the above issue. Tech is looking into it. FIXED!!

2- Shops not restocking. Chron issue! There will be some changes all over now that we can set chrons properly. (We have a control panel now! Whooop!) FIXED

3. Not a problem but... server clock should FINALLY keep the right time. It is now set to Pacific Standard Time. FIXED :D

4. Credit shop Issues are now fixed! Credits are awarded automatically once again!

As most sprites are wont to do, Syllvia was out picking flowers and enjoying the sunshine. She paused in her activities to take a small nap, looking forward to the daydreams that a frequent companions during her afernoon sojourns to dreamland. But this time...

All was darkness, and as the shadows closed in around her she fought off the panic that threatened to tear her mind to pieces. Eyes gleamed at her from various points, but no matter which way she turned, she could not escape them.

She awoke still screaming, her eyes did not seem to comprehend the sunlight that surrounded her as she lay safe in her beloved forest. Sprites came to calm her and led her away, haunted by those screams for the rest of the day.

And somewhere in the more shadowed parts of the woods, an intrepid young imp named Danyel had paused his pranking to finally get some sleep. He had been up all night previously. (it was he who had set the water prank!) As he settled in for some needed rest, safe from the sunlight, he felt odd but attributed it to the days events. Then he drifted off...

And the sunlight surrounded him. Butterflies and rainbows at every turn as he raced to find his beloved darkness. The shadows had deserted him and he spun in circles trying to find a way past the pastel sweetness of all that surrounded him. Helping hands tried to assist him, but he didn't want the help of those strange creatures! There was no where to go and he woke with a start, thrashing and screaming!

Shuddering in terror, his heart raced and the other imps surrounded him, assuring him that they were safe in the shadows once more, but each of them exchanged glances, there was calm once more, but it was very uneasy.

It was a sunny morning in the Hollow. There was a gentle breeze, and there was no sign of any mischievious imps and their antics. But wait...

What is this? A bucket of water hoisted and ready to drop on some unsuspecting citizen of Mistica! A quick glance tells you that this could end very badly, it's mounted right outside the entrance to Pandoria's chamber!


Tormic steps from his shop, seemingly terrorized by a nightmare Rovi perched atop his head. You chuckle at his antics, but quickly look back to Pandoria's tree as it opens.

You are too far away to do anything about it and you watch in horror as Pandoria steps forth from her lair and is drenched. She stands there, so still its frightening and an angry glare transforms her features until you take a step back in horror.

"That is IT! This petty squabble has gone on long ENOUGH! Now you've done it, and though there is no telling which side has done this, both of you will feel the effects of MY 'pranking'."

She shakes loose water droplets about the Hollow as she strides forward. Flinging her arms wide, she intones a series of chants and the skies begin to darken. Imps and Sprites had somehow gathered as if drawn there, and they huddle together in fearful anticipation.

"Nightmares and Dreams
Though not what they seem
Will plague and terrify
As you lie
In your beds fast asleep
Into your minds they will creep."


And with a clap of lightning, Pandoria disappears and the skies clear. Two of the Sprites step forward to speak to their comrades before they leave the clearing.
A gasp makes its way through the crowd as they are recognized as the Prince and Princess of the Sprite kingdom.



They turn a glance to Tormic, who finally manages to grasp the Rovi and hold it still. He has the decency to look at least a little bashful as they regard him silently for a time.

"Dear Sprites, this is a dark time for us all. Though the sun shines brightly, there is a darkness that is creeping into our minds that we fear will only grow stronger." The Princess begins.

An Imp darts up and holds out their hands imperiously for the Rovi in Tormic's grasp. Tormic reluctantly hands it over and the Imp wastes no time in retreating from the Hollow.

The Prince continues, "Be careful in your pranks, smother the imps in kindness. They will not know how to handle it, and it may throw them off their game," he turns his stare back to Tormic and away from the crowd. "Tormic, it is your duty to approach the emissaries of King Mephitic and solve the issues from which this war started. Do not fail us."

Oh no! Pandoria is filled with rage, and is nowhere to be found.Tormic has been given a charge by his liege lords, but how long will it take him to muster up the courage to approach King Mephitic? The pranking continues, but who knows what lies upon the next horizon..?

What are these new Pandoria Boxes that have graced the Credit shop? Could Pandoria's anger lead her to alter the pets of Mistica in her rage?



What will these creatures look like... ?

“Oh, Mistica... why do you side with the sprites? Their heads are in the clouds and they do nothing but sing songs that make my ears split! It’s such a pity you choose these silly sprites when you could join me and my army. We have already spread our pranks far and wide across Mistica. There’s no stopping us, so why not just join us in the fun? We have raided your books and written Imps Rulz on all the covers; We have loosened your faucets so that they drip all throughout the night! And you better watch out because one of my minions has even been replacing some of your precious health food with not so healthy food...So ha! " He pauses for a moment then continue with a sneer,"…Stop staring at me! Of course we were just warming up for the real pranks that are to come for I, Mephitic, King of the Imps will be sure to double my efforts.”

The King motions for some of his best tricksters and sends them off into the world of Mistica.

“My best minions will be sure to make their marks. I will personally see to it that no prank will be missed by anyone here in Mistica. We shall jinkx your precious Pandoria Boxes so they create nothing but Imps to add to my army. How would you like that? Come join in the fun of the Imps, we shall paint an impish smile on this world and those dancing little spites will be covered in paint in the process, which brings a smile to my face! Join us Mistica! Or be prepared to for a paint fueled makeover!"

"Stupid Sprites! Happy go lucky and singing the day away. Well that Tormic has crossed the line. Stealing into our dark recesses, stealing away our special pals. His mother may have been college roommates with the cousin of the hairdresser that once attended the Queen, but he shall not get away with this affront! No... he and all of Mistica shall pay for this!"

He motions to his underlings who take off to spread discord among the land of Mistica. What pranks and antics do these Imps have up their sleeve?

Think long and hard about signing up to take part in this war. There are rewards and challenges to face. Each successful prank could earn you up to 50 mc, and the chance at a daydream or nightmare pal of your own. However, if you are yourself successfully pranked, you could LOSE up to 50 mc! Pranking can only occur once each each hour. Choose your opponent wisely!

Look for profiles that bear the following buttons and prank the other side as often as you can!

First off... after a trial run, the interstitial ads have been removed. We didn't think the trade off was worth it in any sort of way for the time and dedication of our members.

For the time being have been reverted to its previous incarnation.

This is due to several things that we were hoping to have changed up today that we were unable to push through. Since Paul has a lovely holiday coming up, we want him to relax and enjoy himself and not worry.

We apologize for the recent spat of downtime that we have encountered.



We prepaid for our dedicated server quite some time ago and the move has not been facilitated quite yet. As soon as we are updated on the situation and what the plan to move forward is, we will be letting the community know.

The recent downtime, we can only assume, is tied to the maintenance and upgrades that we posted a few days ago. Downtime is not fun for anyone and especially for us. We like hanging out together! :P

Very soon though, we will be on our own dedicated server and the downtime will be a thing of the past.

Thanks for hanging in there Mistica. It's good to be back up! There were some big maintenance and infrastructure changes happening where the servers are kept and the outtage was longer than anyone had expected.

Tonight is the night Mistica...

We will be changing to our own DEDICATED Server this evening!
