Into an elusive character's past. The strange traveler... being the strange traveler that he is, happened upon one of the new visitors to Mistica's known lands. Cheerful to be out and and about, he made short work of regaling this newfound friend with tales of his travels. In doing so... he learned a bit more about...


Adamaris

She has actually visited the known lands of Mistica before! The Traveler was stunned to find out that Adamaris had visited once before, but had shied away upon the infestation of Lovebugs and Cooties. (It seems she has a phobia for small land creatures!) As most have surmised at this time, she prefers the watery environments to dry land, but she is well equipped to deal with either scenario. She did let one important detail slip in her conversation... something about searching for an ancestral stronghold?

The mystery deepens...

In a Mistic wide exclusive, we have been able to unveil the final face that belongs to the last set of unexplained footprints.



There are many unanswered questions. Did this elusive group come from the ship, stranded on the reef? Where did that ship come from?

Most curious of all, how did an Imp and Sprite come to be in their company. Why are they avoiding their kindred?

Had another visitor this afternoon. Someone new spent a fair bit of time exchanging what we hope were pleasantries with Makoto right on the beach.

Once again, the elusive visitor was gone by the time anyone chose to approach him. Luckily, another image has found its way to our hands.



Though two of the faces revealed so far are familiar, I can't help but wonder what these seafaring folk are doing here in Mistica!

That girl?

That is what everyone in Kingdom Village is speaking of today! She came through, as quiet as a mouse... not a single word to anyone. As soon as they gathered the courage to take a second look, she was gone again!

Luckily, someone submitted another rare image of this...visitor.



She must have come from the same group that left those footprints on the beach. Studies have shown that her footprint does match one set. Who else traveled in this motley group? Is Makoto tied to them at all?

Reports have been coming in this morning about an enigmatic figure seen both on the shore and the seas of Mistica. She appears to have made no contact, but we bring you a snapshot captured just moments ago!



She appears to definitely be aquatic in nature, but she has been seen on dry land. Perhaps our Oceanic pets will be the first to make contact!

Two of the prints in the sand seemed so familiar at first glance...

An eye witness reported seeing the following two entities talking with Makoto before leaving the scene, quite angry.



The biggist mystery now remains... what could have made those other prints? 4 other distinct prints remain, and have been reported in other areas of Mistica.

The beaches of Mistica have not seen their normal use since the hurricane. (excepting of course Makoto's nook of treasures...) Perhaps, the hurricane scared away the crowds. However, the beaches seem to have been visited by 6 unique visitors. A small boat has washed ashore, and there are six different sets of prints leading out onto the sands. The ship that was wrecked on the reefs may have had survivors after all!

Are they friendly or are they out to hunt down their lost treasures? Better watch out Mistica, if you have their precious treasures they may be on the hunt to see it returned….or they could just be friendly and looking to chat.

Who knows? Our unknown visitors may be out on the beach still hunting around so keep your eyes open and watch your backs. The shipwreck on the reef is still pouring out items, you may be lucky enough to find one of those shipwreck items if you just keep looking.

It seems that Lance decided not to battle it out in Misticourt and has relinquished his hold on the shorts that he found. Makoto is happily adding them to his shop. Interestingly enough, things are still washing up on the beach... with this many different items from one ship... well, one can only wonder... hmm.



With over 30 items to bargain for, you better get moving, who knows what will happen if anyone or anything shows up to lay claim to them...

"My pretty treasures are most sought after... Have you come for a new pal, or perhaps a shiny trinket? All these and more I have for you!"

Hurricane Gone, but Shipwreck on Reefs?

We have breaking news! It seems the hurricane out east of the Sango Reefs has finally died out. Mistican citizens are once again free to return to the beaches, but there have been reports of a mysterious shipwreck on the reefs. Information has been limited at this time, but from recent witnesses we have reason to believe that this ship may have been blown on the reefs during its escape from the hurricane. Witness have claimed that crates containing the ship’s supplies were seen floating along the oceans currents towards beach shores. No one on the ship has been identified nor has the ship been identified. It is not a known fishing vessel and it is not from any commercial lines, which leaves it as a personal use ship. The amount of damage on the ship is still unknown, but it has not sunk under the reefs yet so the ship is not a complete lost.

Be on the watch Mistica! Who knows who was aboard that ship and what are these mysterious items floating to the beaches from the cargo holds? Keep your eyes peeled; there might be dangers afoot or surprises about.


It seems that at least a small part of the mystery has been solved... Or has it?

A mysterious figure has set up 'shop' on the Beach near the Lighthouse! Makoto is his name, and he strikes a hard bargain! He's one slick character, it seems there has already been salvage paperwork filed against Lance for those shorts he 'acquired'. It will be interesting to see how this plays out...

Message from Mistica’s Emergency Weather Watch:

This is a warning from Mistica’s Emergency Weather Watch. We have just received information on a hurricane forming east of the Sango Reefs. Be advised to take necessary caution against this weather pattern. We believe the hurricane will not move inland at this time, but stay away from the waters especially around the Sango Reefs. All fisheries have been called inland along with commercial vessels. Beaches have been shut down until we are sure this hurricane does not pose a threat to any Mistican citizens. If you’re out on the waters be sure to dock your ship quickly or you may find yourself Shipwrecked! Stay tune for more information on this developing hurricane.



Seems that Lance has quite the entrepreneurial spririt in light of the storm. He is carrying a new line of.... shipwrecked shorts? They seem to be flying off the shelf, I hope no one comes from the docks looking for lost luggage!

We are aware that there are those that cannot access the site at this time. This is due to the DNS Propagation. I hope the following information can help everyone understand:

"The problem with this whole propagation is that in order to speed up the rate at which their customers can view the internet, each Internet Server Provider caches their DNS records. This means that they make their own copy of the master records, and read from them locally instead of looking them up on the Internet each time someone wants view a website. The downside to this caching scenario and what makes it take so long for your website to be visible to everyone, is that each company or ISP that caches DNS records only updates them every few days. This is not any kind of standard, and they can set this time anywhere from a few hours to several days. "

Many are able to gain access, please spread the word and let your friends know what might be hindering access at this time.

We updated the DNS for the site today. We expect no issues, but cannot be certain of that fact.

That's right Mistica! Things have been heating up around here all summer, and it seems the best thing to do, before tempers flare, is to have a party!!

After some great discussion and feedback on the Suggestions forum, the bank has been updated once again.

More closely tie to realistic figures, the Max Account has been set to 3.5% yearly interest.

Varying tiers go downwards from that in .5% increments so that:

Max- 3.5%= .0095%
Gold- 3.0%= .0082%
Silver- 2.5%= .0068%
Newbie- 2.0%= .0055%


While not nearly as high as the 91% that the mathematical error was giving the majority of Mistica, we hope the increase over the much lower previous fix will be helpful.

The Bank Accounts themselves have undergone a bit of a transition as well in their parameters. To attain the Max account, you will need to earn 3,000,0001+ MC; to keep in line with the ever rising number of Millionaires in Mistica!


And as a side note, we are 'reprinting' an earlier part of a news post as a reminder and warning that time is running out to get your FREE Terminal Layout Visual. Happy Hunting!

Those little guys were out in FULL force for the Alliance rollout!

Paul and I have, with the help of many amazing members, been squashing many of these today! And there are some great ideas and suggestions out there!! Keep them coming!

*-Public Front pages, now available if the Leader chooses to in the Alliance Settings, (in Admin)
*- Stickies now work in the Alliance Forums
*-Mass mails/Alerts no longer have formatting issues. No more bombarding your members with the dreaded RN glitch!
*-Joining fees can now be altered, check in Alliance Settings. (In Admin!)
*-Negative MC, when joining and/or donating without enough MC on hand is now FIXED. Will not be happening again.


And lastly...

The Bank has been updated to correctly do the math in regards to your daily interest. We do realize this will lower your daily rate, but hope that in fairness, Mistica will understand. It was easy to almost double your MC within a year with the bank system before, and now it is tallying daily interest rates as it should.

With the rather large list we had today, we will be tackling deleting posts and topics tomorrow for Alliances. Thank you for your patience!

The reincarnation of the Mistica Societies...

ALLIANCES!

That is right, we now have much more exciting Alliances for everyone to enjoy in Mistica.

The biggest change to note is that you can now choose up to FIVE Alliances to be a member of. Yes, FIVE!

You may still only OWN one Alliance, and that Alliance will be your Primary. More information can be found by clicking on the new Alliance link on the left side Navigation bar.

Lots more to come as we develop these further, but we thought it would be great to offer Mistica better functioning groups in the meantime.
