The end of the month is here, and we wanted to let everyone know a few things!

First off, because it's the end of the month, it's the last day to get your July Treasure Bags! Have you gotten the treasure you wanted?

The contests will be changed tomorrow as well, please make sure to get your entries in before the deadline, tonight at midnight. (And PLEASE include your site name with your entries!)

Regarding Applications, there is not an age limit for our staff. However, please be prepared, if under 18, to submit a parental consent form to work on the site.

Writers! Doing up some item descriptions, you have a wide range to choose from. Pick some random 'real world' items, maybe some items you'd like to see in Mistica, or rewrite a few of onsite items! The choice is yours!

And for both sets of applying staff, we are not hiring a set number of new staff members. We are understandably, working through some staff changes, but are so eager to see the applications that we receive and for the new staff members we will be hiring!

Mistica is looking for some talented individuals to join two of our staff teams!

First off, we are looking for some artists interested in joining our family of artists that help keep our shops overflowing with items!

--Why you are interested in joining the team
--All relevant samples of artwork. Show us what you've got!

Item art positions entail, 20 items a month, and payment is in site credits. There will be opportunities to establish yourself and branch out to larger artwork and the posibility of pay as an independent contractor.

And last, but certainly not least...

The writing team is looking to expand, so we hope there are some writers paying attention out there in Mistica that have been waiting for this announcement!

Our current layout scheme uses outdated methods of arranging elements on the page. This is being updated to allow things to be positioned easier. In addition, the left navigation code is getting a face lift. While you probably won't notice anything, underneath the pretty graphics will be a better-organized list of links that will allow for some pretty neat stuff, like image hover states (like the tabs above).

So, in case some glitches happen when the header file and CSS are updated, please post in the dedicated thread in Mistic Chat.

Thanks Misticans, for putting up with pirates ferreting around in the site's code and jumbling things around. We're one step closer to a better Mistic experience!

Welcome to our second annual Beanbag Weekend! The full history of beanbags can be found...

Here are some interesting facts that Ben Baggz would like pointed out.
-The stuffing used to fill the beanbags is environmentally safe.

-Depending on the type of beanbag special material is used in order to match the bag’s corresponding color.

-All beanbags are hand made.

-Some beanbags have real fur donated by the corresponding species (when pets shed their fur they donate them every couple times a year for plushies/beanbags.)

-The oldest beanbag is Mistica is thought to be over 50 years old and still in prime condition.

-Some pets have modeled for their species beanbags.

Vacation? Did somebody say vacation? The very word brings up images of sun, sand and beach umbrellas. I can smell the sea, the sun tan oil, the fresh fruits. There is the laughter, the sound of the waves and music. I can almost taste the ice cream, corndogs and cold sodas...but, something is missing. I know, the soft cushion of a tropical beanbag to relax in. Enjoy!

Pandoria wasnt' done with all the tricks up her sleeve!

At the appointed hour, a crowd gathered in Darkwood Hollow. Fearful of the fallout, no one wanted to be left at home wondering what could very well be their own fates' determination.

The Royal Sprites arrived first, in a stately procession, they made their way to the designated spot to await the guest. They were hopeful that Pandoria would arrive as well.

They did not have long to wait; Pandoria appeared on the crest of a soft summer breeze. Very little fanfare heralded her arrival; she was simply....there. There was no mistaking the altered mood of the gathering. Peace seemed to invade the gathered crowd, and most of the nervous fidgeting halted.

And then, a chill permeated the sunkissed clearing. The Imps had arrived, led, of course, by King Mephitic. He made his way forth to complete the odd triumvirate.

No one was sure who should speak first, and Tormic stepped forward to break the silence.

"Peace has come my friends! The Imps have reached an agreement concerning the sale of their amazing pals, and once more we can inhabit Mistica in peace!"

The sigh of relief was audible, and the smiles did not quite reach a cheer, but their appearance was notably marked. Pandoria stepped forward, ready to speak her part.

"Misticans... I hope my departure gave you much time to think on the many repercussions of your actions. A single act can lead to great tragedy and strife; but the other hand holds true that the smallest act can change a life for the better. Treasure those that are dear to you, hold this community to the highest standards of camaraderie and respect and great things shall come forth in that vein. '

"I depart now, to ready my shop to open once more. Please do come visit Mistica... I have missed you all. For your part in these events, there are some prizes now awaiting you.**" With a smile, she turned to take her leave. Her eyes traveled upwards as if she caught sight of the most wondrous thing she had ever seen; the citizens gathered could not help but follow her lead and when they looked back, she was gone.

The nobility stepped closer to converse, the twins emboldened by Tormic's pretty speech from earlier. The crowd puzzled over Pandoria's words. She was back, that was obvious... and there were prizes!? The crowd dispersed with such ease, that the royals hardly seemed to notice.

Take note Mistica... Great treasures are yours to behold!



And each of you now has access to a most remarkable visage. Depending on your chosen side, each Imp and Sprite has a new layout to explore! But fear not; These are also available, in item form, in the credit shop for those that must collect them both!



Your chosen side has been automatically activated for you. Take note that upon activation of the item should you choose to expand your layout cache, you will then still need to journey to your preferences and choose your new layout.

Each Sprite and Imp that participated now has the option between default and their chosen side's Layout.

Everyone also has their designated flower in their inventory. :) Enjoy!

Zen may still be doing some updating regarding colors now that they are live onsite. She has been MOST accommodating, so let her know if you have a suggestion in regards to the layouts in Mistic Chat!

Finally over! Peace descends upon the land and everyone waits with anticipation for the parley to take place later this evening.

How did this war reach such heights?

There were two sides in this war, those that sided with the Imps and those that sided with the Sprites.

Sprites- 233 members

Each faction was pretty well matched, but in a surprising twist, the SPRITES were pretty zealous in their pranking!

The sprites ended up pulling an average of 59 pranks per team member! The Imps were close on their little tails with 49 pranks a piece! To reward all who participated and enjoyed these prankings, please enjoy these nifty new trophies for your profiles!

Tormic delivered such a speech that day. The muses looked kindly on the misguided sprite and inspired him greatly as he strove to convey his heartfelt apology to the Imp King.

Fortune was kind, Mephitic was moved to forgive the sprite when all was said and done. An uneasy truce was gained today, but how long could it possibly last?

A deal was struck to meet upon the morrow at Pandoria's great Tree, hoping that the Goddess may have returned by that time and the scars that were visible throughout the fair land of Mistica could start to heal.

Tormic did not return alone, and the way seemed to be so much shorter upon his return trip, that had he not been in the grip of fevered relief, he would have remarked upon this strange fact.

The twin sovereigns were definitely not sleeping over at Tormic's shop, so he let himself in and lay down to rest, becasue tomorrow would be a very long day indeed. He was sure crowd would gather to feast their eyes on his newest additons...

Wandering through the forest that he thought he knew so well, Tormic was on the edge of despair.

He talked to himself, off and on. Cursing himself for his curiosity, for his wanderlust and his monetary greed that led him to take the fantastic pals in the first place. Muttering to himself, he ranged in the depths of the forest, he had all but given up hope when walked right into... Pandoria herself!

Tormic's bottom hit the ground with a THUMP!

"Uhhhh Pandoria... ummm.... nice to see you out here. I'm sorry, SO sorry to have crashed into you like that, I wasn't paying attention and--"

He was cut off as Pandoria's gaze leveled at him. He could no more speak than move at the moment when the Goddess turned her full attention to him.

"Be still Tormic. I have been watching your journey. There were many times that you could have turned back. All has seemed fruitless for days, but you persisted onward. Beyond this glade, awaits the one you seek. "
She continued, motioning to a glittery form to come forth into the sunlight.
Take this companion with you to this meeting. Perhaps it will serve as a warning and reminder should peace not be kept."



Tormic stared in awe at the glorious creature that was left in his company and when his eyes glanced fearfully back at Pandoria he found himself alone in the glade.

He stepped forward, the beautiful Anya in tow, onwards to the place that Pandoria had gestured. It was easier to forget the chill of those sleepless, terror filled nights with this new friend by his side. Easier to face the gathering Imps that came into view just beyond the glade's edge.

He walked a gauntlet of cringing Imps. They shied away from the sunlight that appeared to emanate from the Anya's glorious coat. He approached King Mephitic and startled at the creature that sat to the Imp King's right hand.



He swallowed and began with the two words that should have been said ages ago...

"I'm sorry..."
