Mistic Pets

What’s this?  Several Misticans are gathering in Diamond Glacier Domain, but what seems to have their attention?

 Ah, it’s none other than the Mistmas Champion, the Fallen Star, the Granter of Selfless Wishes, and our dazzling hero, Aurelius!  But today he looks rather troubled.  I wonder what could be on his mind?

 

“The year has almost ended and I must go once again,
Doing so with a heavy heart for I’m leaving behind my friends.
There is a second trouble, though, that has me more than vexed;
I have several wishes left to grant and I know not whose to take next.

I only have time to grant one more before I take to the sky,
I wish I could grant them all, but my visit’s end draws nigh.
Which Mistican should I choose?  What option is most fair?
Let’s look at the list of wishes; perhaps an answer lies there!

Most Misticans seem to want the return of pets once lost,
This may be tricky, but together we’ll beat that queen of frost!
If everyone can find a way to show their happiness and cheer,
My power will grow strong enough to make the pets appear!”

 

It sounds like Aurelius has a way to bring back ALL of the pets, even those belonging to users who have been away for the holidays and weren’t able to make wishes.  He needs our help!  Are you in?  Gather your friends, pets, and pals and show your Mistic cheer somehow!

Earlier this evening...

Is it just me, or did it get colder in here?  Oh, no!  It's that wicked queen again.  She's already tried to take our pets -- isn't her rein of terror over?

"Some of you lucked out, it seems, so far,
Thanks to that wretched, gawdy, tacky Star.
But you forget that not all pets are back,
I still have some slaves to pick up the slack.

Unfortunate you were to not make a wish,
Or perhaps you were rejected for being selfish?
Enjoy your coal and be prepared to whine,
By the end of tonight, your pets are forever mine!"

With a wicked cackle and a flash of blue flames, the icy hag is gone once again.

Uh-oh!  Some Misticans were selfless and good, and were able to make wishes to get their pets back.  What about those on vacation?  Or those who didn't wish well?  What will happen to their poor pets?  Time is running out!

Paul worked to fix the 7 Day champion Dust and it should be working correctly. There is no easy fix to those who received 'extra' autopricers. Please use them wisely... and if the Mistmas Spirit moves you, perhaps make good use of them as gifts?

Upon a star, amazing things can happen!

Aurelius is having a blast with all the heartfelt wishes being flung all around! He's feeling stronger by the minute.  Make sure to check in and take a look at the published anonymous wishes that many of your fellow Misticans have made. They are sure to bring a smile to your face!

Meanwhile... Queen Boreal is turning some amazing shades of green over the adulation and power that Aurelius is achieving through his rescue of the Misticpets. Perhaps she should have thought her plan through better?

If your pets are still coal, make haste in making your wishes to Aurelius, at the rate his power is increasing... it may not be long before he takes his leave!

Mistica’s temperatures suddenly hit record lows!  Ah, no wonder – Boreal’s made an appearance!  Despite her icy garb, she sure looks fiery!  What’s this hot tempered queen going to do now? 

“For those who tried to keep Boreal at bay,
Or join her forces with pitiful displays,
You’ll suffer the same fate this ending year,
For I will consume your Mistmas cheer! 

Your festivities are selfish, your attitudes rotten;
You cry for Pandoria Boxes and toys of cotton.
When you don’t get these things, you think no one cared;
Well Mistica, it’s time to be scared! 

Go on, try to hold on to your pets so dear,
But I think you’ll discover that they’re no longer here!
My slaves they’ll be, what a fraternity!
You’ll never have them back, they’re mine for eternity!” 

With a maniacal cackle and a flash of blue flames, the queen disappears… And so have our pets!!!

Mistmas day is finally here!  If you visit your present inventory (accessible from your regular inventory at the top of the screen), you’ll be able to open all of your presents and see what your friends gave you.

And there's even a nifty log to help you keep track of who sent you what.  This will be especially useful when it comes time to sending thank you cards. Just visit the gift wrapping station to find it, or click the link below:

From across the chilled, windswept plains of Diamond Glacier Domain, there came an ethereal glow. What could this light portend? Is this perhaps where the star landed when it fell from its heavenly orbit?

As many across the land searched for the elusive star, it seems that he may have gotten tired of waiting for 'rescue'.



Behold, Aurelius! This wayward traveler has indeed crossed both time and space to join us for our Mistmas festivities. Where he travels, he exudes warmth and kindess and above all hope; Hope for joy and cheer, and of course for an answer to his predicament. Being terrestial bound is no place for a star to be stuck for all eternity. *whispers* See what is has done to Boreal after all this time?


In other news, Mistmas cheer is getting a helping hand, as well our pets' exotic food scores! Watch out for the Delight Pixie, she's passing out special Mystery Presents and Giftbags. Hidden within, you'll find some of the amazing delights that make Mistmas such a treat.**

The miraculously beautiful star blazed across the Mistican sky for nights on end. Many wishes were made as the nighttime rainbow danced in the frame of the darkened sky.

Out of the vast expanse of nightfall comes a brightly lit shooting star!

While gazing at this beautiful nighttime wonder, Misticans all over this world are filled with a happy contentment that they are here to witness such beauty.

All Misticans know that Mistmas is a time of hope and good cheer, but has anyone ever wondered why? What makes this time happier than others? What makes us want to feel closer to our friends and pets? Why are we so compelled to give and make everyone jolly? There has to be more to it than the gifts and snowy weather.

Jahzara steps forward, opening her hands in silent supplication for silence as she opens her mouth to speak.


"Turn your eyes skyward, where the twinkling lights of those far off stars dance in the twilight scene. Watch for signs of the season that give hope to few and strength to all. The hold of the darkness grows stronger throughout the land. Longer and deeper the nighttime grows. Keep your eyes to the heavens and watch for a sign. Let their light inspire hope for the future that awaits us."

Edit: Our Flash Coder has done more work on the Mistmas Trees. layering should now be great working order for all that have been waiting! Enjoy!

Remember your cheran ornament from last year?

You can now decorate with it!
Enjoy!

What is a Mistmas Tree without some presents to go underneath? Well MeriKlaus has now opened another shop! Accessible from the Ornament shop, you can now choose a giftbox and send a present to a friend!

These presents will not be opened until Mistmas morning however, and will go to a special inventory so they don't clog up your regular inventory.

You can access this by the link in your inventory, next to quickstock, and will get a Mistic Mail alert when you are sent a present.
This inventory will tell you who sent it, and once you open your presents on Mistmas morning, you'll get a log of who sent what!

One last thing, you can choose to decorate with any boxes that you wish to place under your tree!

Don't forget to retrieve your token, everyone needs one of these to make their Mistmas that much brighter!

Yuletide is upon us once again! And with the new month's dawn, we have a few announcements!
