Walking in the woods, you better watch out! Our newest family member might just pounce you! As always, I take tremendous pride in unveling the Ahbruis, in his overgrown splendor!



Not to be outdone by the noble Ahbruis, the Vix has a theme to unveil as well! I'm sure this electrifying Storm Vix just wants to play... But I'd be sure to wear some rubber gloves!







Things are progressing well in Mistica at the moment, but there is so much chatter in the forest! I wonder what could be coming up on the horizon/

Are you tired of my long winded speeches yet? I hope not, because my script writers are ever busy writing out heaps of material to use in these newsposts. ;)


Seriously though. I know you have all noticed the staff's hard work. I sure have. Each and every day, my staff amazes me with their dedication, drive, and creativity. Each one, I am honored to know, and to witness their acts fill me with even more conviction that I will help this site succeed, no matter what other pitfalls or hurdles may mar our path.


Our users... can anymore really be said? Each of you has contributed to the success that we are enjoying. Each one of you inspires me and my staff every day to greater heights of creativity and inspiration. Your dedication and unfailing support have been the helping hand when things seemed bleak. Your thank you's have bolstered us up to face another day. Your gratitude has inspired us to do the best we can, day in and day out for this site.



We are working as hard as we can on many issues. I know you have noticed the progress we made, but I'd like to remind everyone that we are a very young site. Especially with the change in ownership and such that we have endured. Every step along the way, we will do our best to keep you all informed of any action that will effect the community. Many areas are on the list with features to implement and improve. Societies, quests, shops... we are aware and thinking up creative ways to handle, improve and make these features better than ever. Just please bear with us. We are working as hard as we can on a multitude of projects, but even coders are human. What may seem like a 'simple' task may in fact involve hurdles and hazards that make it a much more complicated undertaking. And our coders are working as hard as they can at reaching each issue that needs to be addressed.


This is getting a little long, but I want to make sure that I thank everyone and everything that has ever had even the smallest part in making sure that we made it this far.

• Users- Each and every one of our users has been instrumental in our development and dedication to succeed.

We have been having an awesome week here on site. And as always, we are working very feverishly on a lot of really nifty things!

I'd really like to urge everyone to please bide by site rules and to excercise a little common sense. I'm sure many of you know of the incident that occured yesterday. I'd like to personally thank the 'team' for quick response and a speedy resolution. Please don't make us issue bans. We do not like to do it, but have the responsibility of maintaining site order and discipline.

The pound has been cleared, and we are pondering the possibility of doing that on a regular basis. This means that there are many good names now available for pet creation.

Now, it's Tuesday morning, and I'm sure there are a coupe pets around here that would love to be introduced... Ahh here they are! Perhaps they've heard a few things about earth physics and mixing electricity and water too...




Please welcome the Oceanic Mericai and the Storm Haruba! They are eager to head out and make some new friends! Could you be the ones they are looking for?

I'd keep an eye out for new little pals running around Mistica today... it seems that there's a possibility of new shipments at at both the swamp and forest misticpal shops!

Water and Electricity. Isn't that what we were taught in school? It's a great thing that we've left all the earthly cares back in the real world, because we are in Mistica now!

And we are very proud to introduce our Oceanic Braenon and Storm Quari! Everyone give them a warm welcome!






They are very pleased to meet you all, and excited to have a brand new world to explore! *winks* Speaking of new, there are some more default avatars available for the newest pet species of Mistica! So show off your love and devotion to your favorite pets!


The giveaway has come to come to a close. Within the next few days, the boxes will be instituted as very, very rare random events. So continue to play, you never know when Mistica will drop a box in your lap!

A piece of Mistica has had a remarkable 'facelift'!

That's right, everyone needs to check out our brand new 'explore' map!

I have had a hard time keeping this underwraps while we worked on it. And I know you will all be as impressed as I was! Flash features will make it easy to navigate around our world, and the compass will make sure that you never lose your way!

There are a lot of new things to familiarize yourselves with in regards to the land of Mistica.


Never fear, an html version is being worked on, and will be up as soon as it's ready!

You all did a fabulous job yesterday! The staff and I enjoyed watching the boards fill up as you tried to reach 200 members online. 170 is VERY close! Congratulations on acheiving such a great number. Unfortunately, we didnt' reach the goal of 200, but who cares?

We are doing so well here, and each of you contributes success to this site. And we will get to that 200 users online mark, in no time at all. I can't 'give in' and still hand out the box, but what I can do, is leave the challenge open. So that when we DO hit that mark, you will all received the promised Prize. So never fear!


Pandoria Box Giveaway ends this evening, over 250 boxes have gone out! And there will be many more throughout the day, so remember to play!

Edited to add: There is some whiserings about the land of some sort of surprise that may possibly be unveiled today... I wonder what it could be?

But will it be received?



We have acheived great things in these past few days. And the giveaway has been amazing.(And will continue.) Our community has grown by leaps and bounds and it has been inspirational to view the changes taken place.

However, I have a challenge to the users of Misticpets.

We have seen our numbers rise to the triple digits. We've gone so far as to break 130. But I believe we can do even better. I sincerely believe that we can get our user count above the 200 mark. And keep it there for a period, no less than 30 mins.

Are we up for the challenge?

But what would a challenge be without a fabulous prize? Well never fear, because I have some great incentive in store.



WHEN we rise to the challenge, because I have no doubt that Mistica will, I will place a Pandoria Box in the giveaway for a period of four hours.

They were very peevish when they found out that they were missing out on cake by just a few hours. And who can blame them? I hope that the welcome they receive from the users of Mistica will far outweigh any fuss that they may have over the missed goodies. (And who can blame them? That cake was heavenly!

Mistica cannot be stopped. And to confirm that fact, we surpassed 5,000 members today! I even saw our online count in the 130 range! How amazing is that?

And somehow, we all ended up together to carry the torch for the dream of Mistica that has become a brilliant reality.

That this explosion of colors could happen right under our noses! Take a glance at the create a pet page, perhaps hit your f5 button a few times**....We all think that you will like what you see.

Yes, you counted right...12 different, wonderful colors for EVERY single pet!



There is also a new character that I"m sure you will ALL love to meet...




Her name is Feron and she has a special treat for all our 'normal' pets out there in Mistica who long for a new colored coat.

Three trips a day for every user in Mistica! For a very nominal charge....


But....wherever could Feron be?? I seem to have lost my way since last I saw her. Can you find the way to Feron?

DO NOT post the answer on any board regarding Feron's whereabouts, do not ruin the fun or surprise for the other users.

All good things must eventually come to a close, but the next couple of weeks should be plenty of time to get your 'older' pets settled on a new color. Please enjoy the newest feature of Mistica everyone!

The Nokwi will be a common pet available as most of the other pets on the site. The Gurahdi however, is very special and will be available on occassion when their numbers are deemed high enough to warrant adoptions.

We would like to apologize for the extended outage experienced today.

The issue is being investigated in order to prevent it from happening again.

You may start to notice some changes around the site! The biggest one of the day so far is that our forums will now move topics to the top as they are replied to!

Various other updates include minor updates to the terms of service, in respect to players under the age of 13, unobtrusive ads added to the footers, and the logout problems should now be a thing of the past!

Make sure to check the Glitch & Bug board for more updates as these problems are being resolved.

Here at MisticPets, just as you find on most sites, we have Moderators. Our Moderating team is highly involved in many aspects of the site. They keep careful watch over profiles, shops, signatures, as well as the obvious Forum boards. This is not to downplay their largest job, Moderating.


If you should happen to see a problem in any listed area, or have an issue of concern with another member personally, our moderators are here to help!



Please keep in mind that Moderators are staff, and as such should be accorded the same level of respect as other staff members. Arguing with any staff member, or being disrespectful to any member at all will not be accepted. If you feel you are being treated unfairly, please inform the staff member in question that you would like to speak to a Head Moderator, or an Admin for the site. This is your right as a member of our site to be heard.


You are welcome to mail the staff members anytime that you have a concern that rests in their department. However, please try to keep in mind that they are also members of this site and have a right to limit their mail use. Questions that can easily be asked on a board to inform the general membership of the site, or even, already posted on a board, should not be sent to a staff members mailbox. Their mail should be limited to those things better kept in private or things of an 'urgent' nature.

In this case, please remember to check the staff list to see which moderators or staff is online for the fastest results. If there happens to be no one online, please use the Report Abuse! feature, conveniently located on each page where user content is allowed. These reports are checked as staff log on.

There are new trivia and Who/What am I questions up! (and an overlooked Distorted Pic that mysteriously appeared a few days back!) Hurry on over to scratch your heads in bewilderment and agonize over the right answers to add some nifty items and mc to your account!

And on other contest fronts, we apologize over the recent debacle concerning the art, writing and poetry contests. At some point today, we will be opening them back up. Please submit earlier entries to these contests once more. We all know that you worked hard on those entries and have been very excited to see them. However, the system decreed otherwise, and your artwork has been hidden from us. :(

But, never fear, we have a plan. A tricky plan, although hopefully a temporary plan. Until we can entice the system to work in tandem with us on this project; (we are thinking a fresh batch of cookies might do the trick!) we have set up a super secret email as mentioned above. So we will bypass the system and it's selfish ways.
