It seems that something wonderful is taking place in Darkwood Hollow! Here is Feron again to share the good news:



"I never knew how much your pet colors meant to you. I didn't mean to deprive the land of Mistica from something so important, but at the same time I can't be bothered to wait around all day for you to decide on the colors you want. I think I've found a happy compromise.

"When I was offering pet colors for a cheap price, I made quite a lot of money, but Forest Mages do not need such things. I've decided to use all of that MC to open up a spell shop and hire sprites to search the lands for ingredients (since I don't get to travel much). Please come and visit me in my old location, Mistica, and discover the magic of my latest creations..."

It seems Feron is stocking thirteen of these things she calls "Magical Toadstools"? I wonder what on earth they could do! Hunt down her shop and go find out!

This is it! The moment we have all been waiting for since Elenyona first announced her grand undertaking yesterday. She has been carefully watching the recent news around Feron and has created something that she thinks we will all enjoy.

She promises that we won't even remember that it was Feron who once changed our pet colors, thanks to her newest product. Surely this will cheer everyone up!

Without further ado...

Elenyona would like to announce...

That she will now begin stocking...



Butterfly Potions!!!

This potion is going to be the first of her new line of perfumes! It's made with freshly cut flowers, shimmering insect wings, and Banshee Swamp water. Pour it on your pet and have them experience the tingling sensation (though it may contain some swamp leaches) and the intoxicating aroma. Be careful, though; it looks like that proboscis is better at sucking away health than it is with awarding it. Enjoy?


Elenyona says, "You look disappointed. What were you expecting? Color changing potions? Ha! I don't have the magic or the time. I spent years perfecting the current species potions and I simply don't have that time to waste on colors. Forget having your pet look different - buy my perfumes and just make them feel different! This is a great new product! One use of this and you won't even remember your own name, let alone your precious pet colors."

Oh dear... It seems this doesn't solve our plight at all. :( Who shall we turn to now?

The land of Mistica is still abuzz with Feron's recent resignation, but the ancient forest mage has assured us that she will not change her mind. She absolutely refuses to change our pets' colors any more. :(.

It seems as though Elenoya might be taking advantage of the situation, however. Ever since yesterday she's been slaving away over her hot cauldron and she won't give us any hint as to what she's up to. I wonder if this could have anything to do with Feron's recent news. Hmm...


"Just a little more swamp water and my creation will be complete! Come back tomorrow..."

Something dreadful is happening in Darkwood Hollow! Feron is here to share the news:



"It's a waste of my precious time and magic! Every day you Misticans bring your three pets to me, demanding that I change their color for a measly price. It wasn't bad at first, but some of you come back day after day, constantly changing your minds, wanting your pets continually recolored, standing at my roots for hours at a time contemplating...

"Well, I've had enough. I simply can't waste any of more of my time like this. I am no longer going to change your pets' colors. You're just going to have to be happy with your pet's current color or think of something else."

Feron has quit and isn't offering color changes anymore! What will we do? :(

We also have a few more updates for everyone.

When abandoning a pet at the pound, items attached to that pet will now be returned to your inventory. This should help us all avoid the "this item is not yours!" glitch in the future.

And... High Scores should now be working. The first to attain the score should stay at the top of the list! Once pets move around a bit, please let us know in the Bug/Help forum if this isn't the case.

Lance had released these yesterday, but that silly Cheran forgot to make an announcement! Head on down to Flashy Fashions to get a pair of Cheran ears. They’re quite fun to play with! Sure, your pet may not look exactly like a Cheran by wearing them, but she’ll look pretty darn cute all the same!

The Avatar Contest ends tomorrow. Hurry up and get your pirate themed entries in before the judging begins!

The Draklaites were able to have their day of fame, so make way for the Cheran! Those wonderful Cherai do a lot for Mistica from running shops, acting as librarians, and even hosting the Number Guess game. Be sure to take some time today to appreciate all that they do!

The Cheran has received a revamp as our first act of appreciation! We hope you enjoy all of the newly done colors!




Ben Baggz has also made the day special by making sure his beanbags match these fine new creatures.


Our very own Arnold has decided to start the Cheran weekend celebration off right by offering a few new books for sale. Oh, now you can read up on all of the myths and epic Cheran tales!


Sebastion has joined in the festivities too, despite the fact that he is not a Cheran. He encourages everyone else to join in the day too with this Cheran-licious Cheransicle! He said that he might even be giving away some free samples. Hmm…


There's also a lovely new Cheran action figure hiding in one of the shops. Can you get your paws on one before the end of the festivities?


Aww... How could you resist these new little critters? There seems to be something quite special about them. I wonder what it could be? Buy one to find out!

October is upon us, and that means...

New themes for the Art, Writing and Poetry Contests!

The deadline for the new art, writing, and poetry contests is Friday, October 31st. The themes for this month center around" Banshee Swamp". Get your entries in for a chance to win a lovely trophy for your profile, 20000 MC, and a Terror Pandoria Box!


The staff have a daunting task in judging the latest group of entries. The previous months winning entries will be posted next Friday, so keep your eyes peeled!


If you plan on submitting an avatar you have a little bit more time. The Avatar Contest (held in the Avatar forum) will end on Sunday, October 5th. The theme for this month is "Pirates!" Submit your entries for a chance to win 10000 MC, 10 credits, a shiny medal for your profile, and the chance to have your avatar used all over the site!



Remember that you are allowed to enter more than one contest! You may not enter two entries in the same category, however.
