The new societies will be done and implemented at some point this weekend.

It is regrettable to say that the original societies could not be salvaged, as the carry over in information will not be feasible. Societies will be cleared before the new ones are implemented. We wanted to give Mistica as much warning as we could as to this action, so that it does not cath anyone off guard. Save your coding or pictures and be prepared to repopulate your societies once the new ones are up. :)

I am very excited about the new societies and it will be well worth the wait and 'hassle' of having to recreate the groups.

We are doing some major 'house' cleaning! We have already accomplished much this morning, and more is yet to come. A few things are behind the scenes, but there are many fixes that you can see and utilize! I'll continue to update this news post, but wanted to let you all know of the progress so far. So keep checking back!

-all transactions went through as normal in tests.


MisticFriends are now working and can be viewed and responded to.


Training is now fixed and you should not have to log out and back in to train.

Credit Shop pets.

You will no longer be able to get a Credit Shop pet if you do not have the space for it.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience, but after looking at it from many angles, there is no 'easy' fix.

Those of you that have purchased Braenons already as an 'extra' pet will need to contact me and I will be making sure that everything is worked out. You will not be penalized for what was said previously.

You can now view how many pet slots a person has available by looking at their profile. to implment this feature, some people that have used slot coins were reset. Do not Panic. Mail me and I will get you set up correctly, it will only take a min or two per case, no long wait or list required!

Let's give Nick a big round of applause! Yes, the Slot Coin is finaly here! I wanted to give a little more information on how this works so everyone is on the same page.

A Slot coin wil give you an extra permanent Pet Slot. This can be filled by any pet onsite, but please remember that credit shop pets come with their 'extra' slot and factor that into your planning.

The ceiling of the pet limit is 15. That means you can work your way into 10 'extra' pets, and once you reach that, no more pets will be available for creation, (not even Credit Shop pets).

Hope this helps explain some things and as always, any questions, please go to the Bugs and Help forum. A staff member will answer as soon as possible. Asking in the news comments can sometimes be overlooked, by staff and members alike.

I'd also like to point out that if you have 5 slots and are 'dying' for a Braenon. Included with the Braenon is the slot to go with it, so you may purchase and create an MP/Credit shop Pet as your 6th. Hope this helps some members out!

To clarify:
If you have 4 pets . .and create a Cr. shop pet it will count in the total of your 5. However, if you have 5 pets already and purchase credits for a Cr shop pet, you may create that pet in a 6th slot (purchased with the pet. You do not need to purchase an additional slot).

Hey everyone! Hope all is well among you. I have been working steadily in the background getting Mistic running up to par! You should be noticing a decline in those pesky bugs throughout the website. The gallery system should be working correctly now, If you are having trouble with it please mail me with details so i can fix up the remainder of the problems.

You're probably anxious to hear about new features, So I'll let you in on whats being worked on.. The new societies system will be operational mid-next week. This is an all new system, and unlike any other out there!

The battle system will also be re-worked to stand out from the crowd. We hope to get lots of great suggestions to make it everything everyone would hope for!

The Baby Pandoria Box and Overgrown Pandoria Box are now available in the Premium Upgrades Shop.



These boxes will be available for a short while, and will rotate out. Eventually only one Pandoria Box will be available at a time. The premium shop will not remain the only way to get a Pandoria Box however, so do not fear.

Our coders are hard at work, so keep your eyes out for news announcements from them on their progress as well!

Today, many people are celebrating a variety of things. So Happy Presidents Day to those in the US, and Happy Louis Riel Day to our friends in Manitoba.

Presidents Day is somewhat explanatory. Those in the US celebrate collectively the Presidents that helped shape the United States.

Louis Riel remains one of the most complex, controverisal and ultimately tragic figures in the history of Canada.

He was a resistance fighter, and with all the adversity that this site has faced, we have decided to issue a doll in his honor!

First here comes the Aetra! Very playful, you will most often find these little guys somewhere near water.


And our second introduction, is the mysterious Zisscor! These pets are very fond of music, so grab your favorite song and get to dancing!

The descriptions are not showing up for some reason, so I will post them here so we can understand a bit about our new friends until the coders can sort hat out.

Aetra:
The Aetra pets are playful creatures and would like nothing more then to play all day. They often make their homes near slow moving rivers where they can enjoy a good swim. An Atrea's fur is extremely soft and waterproof which keeps them warm in cold waters, but also cool during hot weather. The long sails along their backs are unique and no two are never the same. Only Aetri can identify which family clan they belong to by just looking at each other sails. Aetri love to search underwater for treasure and will dig in the mud with their bills looking. All Aetri have a collection of special treasure from their findings and no one knows where exactly they hide it. Many owners have tried searching for these mystery collections, but no one has been successful. When asking an Aetra about these collections they will only stare blankly and insist on playing.
Zizcor:
Zisscors are noble creatures in the world of Mistica. They take great pride in their decorative hoods. Zisscor groups will often have competitions on whose hood is the most vibrant, which earns the winner great respect within their social groups. In battle they use their hoods to warn others of danger. Zisscor tails are the most mysterious thing about them. They sway and flick them to communicate, but no one has unraveled the mystery of what these tail flicks mean. Zisscors do love music though, and will love any owner that allows them to dance the day away. Zisscors make great companions, but don't worry about your Misticpals being eaten; Zisscors know the different between friend and food.

Is quite distracting, isn't it? But at least it's fun. Letting your imagination run wild, waiting with baited breath for that news icon to flash?

Well, I wouldn't want to disappoint, so I guess I should introduce our newest pet to fly the skies of Mistica... The Frodrinn!


To really make for a great weekend, we wanted to leave you with some sugar and spice. Here comes the adorable Baby Frodrinn!

The staff of Misticpets extends the most sincere apologies for the events late last night to all players and parents. Each time we get attacked gives us another chance to plug the hole and we're doing just that. We have taken action to resolve the problem and ensure it does not happen again.

There is general chaos on the new board. I'd like to take a moment to share some tips, pointers and directions for our members.

1.Read the sticky note(s).

2.Monitor your thread and update accordingly. Type in CLOSED in your thread title when the matter is resolved. It will help us clean up.

3.IF you have a case of a 'doppleganger' account, please contact an admin (only one) so that we can start working through this issue. (Will explain more below.)

We all need to work together. The next and final step that we can take, other than manually working through what we can. Is a full site reset. I'm sure most of you do not want to do this. So please keep this in mind. It's the only option left.



Now, these 'doppleganger' accounts. They are because of user ID#"s. With the rollbacks, and numbers being reused, and the efforts we undertook to try to make as complete accounts as possible...it confused our poor system. We apologize. But there are ways to release pets held on these accounts if Lost&Found doesn't work. If you cannot get a hold of the new 'owners, (after a couple of days), please then contact us (admins) for help if your pets are 'stuck' on another account. Regretably, we cannot do anything about 'stuck' shops, other than editing out our own graphics and welcomes. We apologize, but this phenomenon should only be affecting accounts created since the rollbacks began.



Former staff and beta users that are having a few problems with your account. We will be doing our best to make this up to you. We have our hands full, but will be doing what we can to help restore banks/pets.

We need your patience while we deal with so many things. We can't get to everyone right away. But will continue to work as hard as we can.

Well, we are approaching an exciting weekend, aren't we? We have the Pandoria Box Giveaway tomorrow for 12 full hours.

6am-6pm Mistica Standard Time

Along with this, there will be LE pet releases starting at 10am MST tomorrow. For the first batch 100 LE pets will be available in each species. Tomorrow at 10pm MST, we will release another 100 LE pets. The final release will be Sunday at 2pm MST for the last 50 pets in each species.


Please remember that LE releases will still be happening randomly throughout this next week. So check back if you miss the 'scheduled' times.


In other news, we are aware that many of our efforts to fix accounts and the site resulted in some wayward/missing pets. Some have ended up on different accounts, and others need to be recreated. This number is somewhat small, and we apologize for it. Mistica will need to unite and work together to help one another out in returning lost pets.
We have set up a temporary forum for Lost & Found pets to aid in returning and reuniting pets and their owners.
I'd like to thank each of you for your efforts, I know that we can all count on each other to get through this difficult time.



I have to say that for the most part, everyone seems happy with the efforts that we have extended and I'm very happy that the bulk of our users are so pleased. The staff here at Misticpets will continue to work hard to bring updates, features and fun times to the communit of Mistica.

Welcome back Mistica!!


We are back online, thanks to our ever wonderful coders. So please give them a round of applause, and plates of cookies!

Unfortunately, we did have to have one final rollback. After all the hard work that was done going over things, this should be the last setback.

Though we cannot promise anything, we have worked very hard to look through everything.



Along with going over all the codes to check for tampering and safety issues, we have compiled a list of things for the coders to work on in the next few days. Many of these changes will help make Mistica run a bit more smoothly.

As always, we encourage proper use of the glitch forum to report things that still need to be worked on, and we will be doing our best to keep up on it.



The downtime was hard on all of us. The staff are eager to get to work to get the site up to date with Mysterious Mistic Events, Shop items, Contests, and other fun activities that we have up our sleeve.

I sincerely hope that something hasn't happened to the coder or his family that was supposed to be taking the site offline for the maintenence. In working in an online world, there is always the possibility of the unkown.

We will be doing maintenence. At this point, a 'restore/rollback' is not planned after this downtime. We should just be going offline to fix and go over the coding.

Somehow there was a small error that prevented the hourly backups from happening throughout most of the night so the rollback is further than previously thought. I am very sorry.

Yes, we were down for some more fixups. Thanks to handy hourly backups, we did not 'roll back' to a previous day. *claps for the coders*

We had to go offline because the database was not happy with our rollback. It decided to throw a temper tantrum, and we took it offline to fix things up and to give it a couple cookies.

Please remember that we are getting things updated and worked on as fast as we can. We understand the frustration and have tried to let it runs it's course. Please do not flame, or insult on behalf of staff. We do recognize and sympathize with the passionate levels of frustration and concern. If we could lend voice to it, we would howl along with you.

Thank you all for your support as well as the obvious regard that you have for the site in the frustration that has been shown.

We have already released some LE pets, and more will be coming this weekend. So never fear...

Help and Bugs were cleared for new start. Please read the rules and verify information before making a thread.

Those who had to reset signatures in the last week, please check them and make sure they are confrom to site rules again.

Trade MC will be returned if you withdraw offers now. This rollback is a great opportunity for many of our users that may have lost MC before this was implemented.

We are working hard on clearing things away and sorting throught the confusion to get back on 'track' so that we can forge ahead. Get the items back in shops, avatars loaded back up etc. As stated before, I desperately wish we had a magick wand to wave and make all this happen. But I can't, so we are faced with a very massive load of work.

Yes, we understand.

No, seriously... we do. We are all as fustrated and upset as each of you. We were faed with a hard decision this morning. Either reset everyone back to the beginning, or do yet one more rollback to a time before all this crazyness hit.

We will be doing all we can to get everyone caught back up to a good point. Everyone is back at a point they were in their accoutns not too long ago.

There will be another box giveaway. I will announce a time for tomorrow, later in the day. To give everyone enough warning to be on. (And I promise to give the server guys a heads up so they don't try updating during our giveaway again!)

We know this is frustrating, but given the alternative of resetting everyone, or leaving a large number of users without their banks, items etc... this did seem the best choice. I hope we can all move on from this together.

The coders worked all night, and there was no way to restore individually all that was lost. Staff lost hours of uploading items, the plushie day event etc. And we will be working hard to get things back 'up' and out there again.

I can't apologize enough, and the anger that I feel towards the individuals that caused this is enormous. We can only do so much, and I'm sorry it wasn't more. Many safeguards are in place, we just needed to get back to a point before they started messing with the site.

Staff will be working extremely hard to get the items, avatars, etc back up and on track. But we cannot make it happen instantly.
