This yearly event is going to be used as a time to acknowledge those pets that absolutely love to read and have earned themselves a spot on the reading high score list. Most have you have probably already noticed, but the coders were hard at work yesterday sprucing up our forums! Font faces and color codes now work properly and you also have the option to change the size of your font. In addition, you no longer have to memorize or hunt for image or hyperlink codes – all you have to do is click a button.

You can also preview your post before you post it in order to make sure your coding has turned out the way you wanted it to and you can report posts that violate the forum rules.

We hope these new options make it easier for everyone to have their posts look the way they would like. Head down to the forums to use them! Please remember to follow the forum rules. These new options were added to make posting easier, not to spam.

The end of September is quickly drawing upon us! Now might be a good time to submit your monthly contest entries if you haven't already.

The deadline for the art, writing, and poetry contests is Tuesday, September 30th. The theme for this month is "Draklaita Fun". Get your entries in for a chance to win a lovely trophy for your profile, 20000 MC, and a Zodiac Pandoria Box!



If you plan on submitting an avatar you have a little bit more time. The Avatar Contest (held in the Avatar forum) will end on Sunday, October 5th. The theme for this month is "Pirates!" Submit your entries for a chance to win 10000 MC, 10 credits, a shiny medal for your profile, and the chance to have your avatar used all over the site!



Remember that you are allowed to enter more than one contest! You may not enter two entries in the same category, however.

Mmm... Kandi has whipped up a couple more chocolate goodies to stock at Sweets R Us. You should stop in and see what's available! Maybe if we're lucky, Kandi will offer us a free sample in the giveaway...



Kandi does understand that chocolate isn't good for canines, so she's provided these Milk Chocolate Milk Bones. Despite the name, they aren't made with real cocoa and should be perfectly fine for Obsidians, Lirionians, and Ahbruis.

Our pirate weekend is coming to a close, but not without one last hoo-rah! How lucky is Mistica to have a pirate come along and give us new items instead of pillage the ones we already have? Here's Captain Jack Skillow once more with a final message.

Looks like Jeremy's pulled an all-nighter! He's created and mass produced some wonderful new plushies to stock at his shop! They're all just so cute and cuddly...

Jeremy's really outdone himself! Each one of these is handmade and there are tons to go around! Oh, wait, Jeremy has an announcement...

"I got so tired around sunrise and there isn't a single coffee shop in Mistica, so I ended up falling asleep at 4:30 and I didn't make very many Baby Stignightus Plushies. To add to it, my sewing machine is broken. Since these are so rare, they are going to be stocking in the credit shop instead of the Plushie Domain. Get them while you can!"

And happy birthday to a quiet staff member whose influence has touched much of the artwork about the site.

Happy Draklaita day, everyone! It may surprise you, but these wondrous creatures don't always get the recognition that they deserve, even after all they do for Mistica. They sell your pets weapons to aid them in battle, they provide you with the entertaining "Draklaita's Blocks" game, and they do their best to coexist peacefully (well, most of the time) despite the fact that each one has two heads. It's time to celebrate these pets for being their amazing selves and bringing some spice to Mistica!

To start the celebration, the Draklaite have received a revamp! Head over to "Create A Pet" to explore all of the new coloring options.


If you already own one and wish to try out the fun new colors, perhaps a certain tree named Feron may be of service? If you can find her, that is. ;)

Some other old friends have also received a revamp. Ben Baggz was hard at work all night making these; you should drop by and grab a couple.



It seems as though Tormic is also joining in on the celebration and has captured some new MisticPals to sell in his shop. They look strangely familiar... Don't they remind you of someone?

Maybe if you're lucky you can collect them all!

Even after all they do for the community, the Draklaita want to give even more. Some of them are now offering their services as shop keepers! They'll happily run your shop and guarantee to keep all of your goods safe.



Don't forget to play a game of Draklaita's Blocks in honor of all of the hard working Draklaite out there! If you enjoy your game, perhaps you might want to search around for these newest plushies? Maybe you can even start your own life sized version of the game if you collect enough of them.
