Mistic Pets

The staff at Misticpets understand that we have all been through a very tough time.

We continue to work behind the scenes so that when the coders are on their feet, we will shock and amaze you with some of the things that we have hidden up our sleeves.

Moving forward always involves change of some sort. Which leads me to a great announcement. I'd like the whole of Mistica to welcome Casleigh as our newest User Admin! She is going to do a great job as new mod leader, and she and Melissa will be working quite closely these next few weeks.

In addition to this announcement, I'd like to take the opportunity to run down the list of Admins so that everyone has a clear idea of who we are, and what we do. :)

Zarabeythe = Site Manager, responsible for the site as a whole. I have to say that I don't always have time to respond to every mail, as it is quite overwhelming, but I do try to answer back when I can. I work closely with each department, as well as the Admins to keep the site progressing.

Hail = Data Admin, responsible for helping sort the data that eventually becomes items and content on the site. She is in charge of the daily/weekly/monthly contests.

Casleigh= User Admin, she is responsible for the mods and a good deal of user interaction on the forums and site.

Melissa= User Admin, she will be working closely with Casleigh over the next few weeks involving herself with the moderation department as well as the Users.

Over the next few weeks, we will see a lot of growth, we hope to start seeing some great things from our wonderful coding team and Mistica will be back on track, and stronger than ever after weathering the storms that attempted to knock us down.

Are not so hard when it involved a three day weekend, is it?

Well, since the Terror Belragoth insisted on making his debut early, I wanted to make up the 'jump' with an LE pet release!

So, starting now, and throughout the night and tomorrow even... LE pets will be released in random batches.

So if you have had a yen for a Gurahdi, Obsideon, or Stignightus...now is your chance!

On a more somber note:

I'm sure that many of you have heard of the recent aftershock in China that destroyed over 70,000 homes. I know that the hopes and well wishes of Mistica travel across the time and distance that seperates us to the coders and their families.

We are heading into a three day weekend for most of the US Misticans, and to start off the celebration, I hear that there will be an early visitor showing up tomorrow.. I wonder who it could be?

In actual 'news', the Giveaway has been changed up. I hope everyone got a chance at a beautiful Mother's Day Locket.

There was a slight problem with the Distorted Pic this week. It has been changed out and the prize has remained so that everyone has a chance to get the items and MC.

We are going through some transition in the Admin Section as we sort out duties and make some changes in protocol and management. Please bear with us during this time.

Wednesday is such a fiesty day! We are halfway to the weekend, and just need to fight our way to 'victory'. *winks*

Three of our mighty battle opponents have undergone a bit of a 'makeover'. I hope everyone enjoys the new Triflame, Terizia, and Pholisha!



I'd also like to take this opportunity to send well wishes to RuthieRox in all of her future endeavors. I don't want anyone to panic that she is off the staff list. She is still a great friend for Mistica, and a wonderful example of all that is good. So.. three cheers for RuthieRox!

First off, I'd like to extend the warmest and most genuine gratitude of our coders to the well wishes that were sent from the citizens of Mistica. It was an amazing thing to behold, and it touched them greatly. They extend their thanks to each of you.

Now, Howard has been busy fixing things on our end, so that we can get down to business in updating the sites. Just around the corner will be new items in the shops, avatars for the forums, and much more! He's about 50% done with the admin functions that needed work, so we'll be in business soon Mistica!

On the subject of avatars, the Emperon Avatar is finally up and available for you all to use if the urge strikes you. Enjoy!


Thank you all, once again for bearing with us during the rocky times. It only serves to show how great our community is, staff and users alike. But every cloud has a silver lining, and though we may be a bit wet, we have weathered the storms that came our way. Together. Wednesdays are the midpoint. Only half the week left to go, the countdown to the weekend begins. Now that the weather is getting nicer, there are all sorts of things to look forward to.

We are still awaiting word from our team of coders. The earthquakes effects were far reaching and I know that all of Mistica sends their well wishes their way. As far as I know at this time, everyone is safe, which is the most important thing.

The credit shop received a couple of special items this morning. The bell cherries have finally made an appearance. They are quite the bargain for their very filling effect. (50!) The LE plushies seem to be quite a bit more expensive, but they will bring joy and laughter to your pets for a very long time.

Enjoy Mistica! I hear that the shopkeepers are gearing up for some new merchandise soon. All of the shopkeepers are very excited as they ponder the new stock that they've seen in their catalogues.

Last up... don't panic!

The Credit Shop has been cleared somewhat. There are a few fun new avatars in there for everyone to enjoy. Some items will be joining them later today.

In addition to these credit avatars, everyone in Mistica will enjoy a new default avatar. It is quite appropriate, given all the mystery surrounding those darn eggs!

It's like this vicous cycle... we make it through the week and all of a sudden we are confronted with another Monday.

Our pets seem to have gone on a hiatus this week. I've searched high and low and they seem to be hiding from me!

So... the Admin Team talked, and we thought that we might be able to coax them out with another fun giveaway!

Throughout the week, we will be giving away Pandoria Boxes each day. It will be randomly generated.

I'm hoping to have some coding updates by this evening for everyone. I'm sure most of us have read about the very large Earthquake in China this past weekend. It did affect the area where our team is located. Thankfully, everyone and their familes are fine. Howard will be working from home to finish up a few things so we can get back on track until hey can get back to their office.

Very soon I hope to update you with some news from the new coding team. We should start to see some improvements. Zenk0 should also be getting to the last shop/inventory bugs very soon as well.

For a Monday!

Well Mistica, glad to be back amongst the land of the living. I know things were slowing down around here, but after a bit of time in the hospital, I'm gearing up to get things moving along again.

Nick has unfortunately left the site. Please do not panic, we have a great coding team taking his place. They have spent the last week or so looking through the code so we can avoid mishaps where something is 'fixed' to the detriment of another aspect of the site. I'm sure we will be seeing some great improvements soon. They will be taking over the projects that Nick was never able to finish as well.

A great and hearty thank you to the citizens of Mistica and three BIG cheers for our staff.

Their unfailing resolve, even in the midst of the unknowing was inspirational. I offer my sincere apologies for the last couple of weeks. I will take better care of myself so that I will not put anyone in that position again. (Staff or users)

Contests are now up! I apologize that they are late, I feel ill Thursday evening and was away from the computer 'till this morning.

The skies are sunny and the pets are all anxious to get out and play!! We should see some low cloud cover later this evening, but no threats of rain on our horizon.

Well, I know that we have been in a bit of a rutt due to things beyond our control. We hope that the steps that have been taken recently will get us back on track and moving along. Thank you all for your support during some difficult times.

Zenk0 is hard at work on the features, he's even popped in to some of the threads in Bugs and Glitches to reassure everyone. BIG cheers for Zenk0 everyone!

Shops now work in IE and Firefox both. (I don't believe there was any issues with Opera or Safari that were reported...)

He's working on a couple other small issues and we should be 100% VERY soon.
