Happy Chinese New Years Mistica!

Well there’s another New Years out there Mistica and its Chinese New Years. Other countries of course celebrate this New Years by another name, but Chinese New Years is just the name it’s more commonly known by. Each year is represented by twelve animals and 2009 is the Year of the Ox. Some traits for people born the year of the Ox are dependable, calm, easy-going, stubborn, and they hate to fail. You’re an Ox if you fall under these years: 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997.

So ring in the New Year with some of these festive items.

Wanted to post a thank you to the members that commented on our first January Fun newspost... You are all being awarded 10 mp! Congrats!

It seems that an influx of avatars have infiltrated Mistica! Can you find all the intruders?!

In default there are reports that 3 new default militants have arrived!


Another has decided to kidnap our talkative users!


Yet another has decided to use weapons of mass freezing!


And finally, the worst use of weaponry of all...Hugs!


Won't you help us by find these intruders and showing them that we shall stand strong against their pixelated their attacks?!

A beautiful day here in Mistica. A great weekend, as staff seem to be tossing out some credit events.

A few notes for the site and members in general:

1. Mistical Tome
We are unsure why it refuses to stock, but Zenk0 will be here to force it for us soon. We will get it working as fast we are able, but have exhausted the avenues that we have at our disposal.

2. Recode
We understand that there have been references to this. A board was made to ask, and we thought it would be prudent to post Zekn0's response for everyone in the news.

The recode will mean that the site will more stable(it's pretty stable but it could always improve). It will make it easier for me(or other developers) to create new features faster.

At first you won't notice much changes but the admins will be able to do more with items, the quests will make a return, the economy will become much more stable(I could go on and on).

We're hoping to get it done some where in February.

And also...
I just wanted to add the societies will be updated and expanded give a better community feeling and some cool new features will be aded later ofcourse.

3. A big thank you from Zenk0 and the entire team for enjoying the birthday festivities yesterday!!

Now you can convert MC to MP, though there are some rules and limits. But this will help a great deal of you realize your goals, on your own.

Zenk0 updated the usershops today. So that those with larger shops will have an easier time finding things. Galleries are incompatible with this new search feature, however... this will be cleaned up and addressed in the recode. He also tackled a few pesky bugs in the societies. There are a multitude of problems that can only be addressed in the recode unfortunately...but they should be working much better now!

Zenk0 is hard at work to add item type filters to the safebox, shop and gallery. This means, that you will be able to select item type and browse just those items. He is also adding the default item sorting to alphabetical. So it should help everyone find their items faster!

Have now been award to everyone that has donated to the pound donation system.

We are working on the issues at hand and will have prizes awarding correctly soon.

We fixed a variety of typos, cleared the stockmarket, and are also working on the stuck items issues for trades.
