Mistic Pets

The morning was brisk and the winds whipped around the point of the beach by the Lighthouse with a fierce intensity. Makoto was just starting his day, setting out his wares for the day.

Chuckling with glee, he artfully arranged the newest additions to his little shop, envisioning his summer full of fun once he trimmed down his figure. Lost in his daydreams, he never noticed just how quiet the beach was. There was no hustle and bustle as people went about their days, and there was no crowd of people, eager for his new wares! Intent on his task at hand, he thought nothing of the calm and enjoyed the quiet of the morning.

Suddenly, without warning, Makoto turned and took a bucket of icy water RIGHT to the face! Now, Makoto might want to strut his stuff in the latest swimwear this season, but as a feline... he has a pretty big aversion to actually getting IN the water! He spluttered and wiped his face as he tried to focus on his attacker.
"YOU!" He roared as he saw Sunny holding a now empty bucket in his hands. Crowds had lined the clifftops overlooking the beach to watch the showdown. "That color looks good on you, " Sunny said nonchalantly and as Makoto's eyes cleared he looked down at his coat in horror as the realization hit that he was now PINK!

Sunny strolled over to the crates that held his misappropriated shipment and motioned to a few friends to come help him retrieve them. Makoto stood their quietly, stunned and a bit lost in a simmering rage. Sunny glanced at the quiet Anya and winked, "Hope you enjoy the color, perhaps it will match your summer swim wear? If you feel like some health foods I could maybe cut you a deal if you swing by my shop. " All smiles now that the plan went off without a hitch, Sunny meandered back towards his own shop, shipment now recovered.

Miserable and pink, Makoto was left alone to salvage his day and to start working on a plan to recover his shiny coat of fur that he had been so proud of, until now. As he worked, he thought... and thought some more.

Well, it seems as though that sneaky Makoto has decided he'd like to cash in on the huge amount of pets dieting in order to prepare for swimsuit season; his paws somehow managed to find their way to Sunny's new shipment of health food!  It's even been rumored that Makoto himself has been munching on Veggie Burgers in order to slim down into his Speedo.  I just hope he knows what he's getting himself into, as quite contrary to his name, Sunny can have a rather stormy temper when stolen from...
