The Jumboyo Chief has opened the doors of the newest Jumboyo Village enterprise. Hand crafted items of all sorts, but it seems for the grand opening, they have plushies and beanbags coming out their ears!

Lovingly hand crafting with all the finest materials that that their village has to offer, these beanbags put even Ben Baggz lovely beauties to shame! 

These plushies will definitely be highly sought after. Only found right here in Jumboyo village, no one could have captured these pets like the citizens that live with their antics day in and day out.


Don't forget to keep an eye out, those curious little statues have been known to appear stocking very rarely in the village center.

Enjoy your shopping Mistica! And be careful which pets you take into the shop. We sure wouldn't want these little fellas wreaking havoc!

The search for the missing Kokos continues, and seems to have led us to Jumboyo Village…

A frazzled looking creature is in his large hut, attempting to calm down a slew of furry little critters - some look like him and some quite different, but among the creatures are the missing Koko!

He blinks and stands up, or tries to, as one of the pets is nearly pulling him to the floor by hanging on his arm. “Ah…yes, I believe you’ve been looking for these,” he says, gesturing to the Koko, “I’m Tatenda, and don’t worry, they only came home. You can’t adopt any quite yet though…”

The reason for this is revealed as Tatenda points to a scroll mounted on his hut’s wall with his free hand. On it are written several requirements, and on the top are pictures of four odd looking statues.

“The statues fulfill the last requirement,” Tatenda explains, “There are five, and you must fulfill four to be able to take one of these pets home. Though I don’t know why you’d want any…” He mutters, grumbling as the creature hanging off his arm begins to gnaw on it, “Once you have all four statues, King Blithe should be able to turn them into the medallion you need for the last requirement. Take a look around Mistica, you may find your first statue quite easily.”


A long pause. Then Tatenda blinks, and blushes a little, realizing he’d forgotten something. “Yes, you wouldn’t know these three new Misticans, would you? They’re a new discovery, and ended up here…somehow…” He didn’t sound too thrilled. “Anyway - meet the Panju, Jumboyo and Izabel!” Tatenda said, pointing out each new creature in turn. “Well, if you want one, you’d better start working, yes?”

With three new pet species having been discovered, the Delight Pixie is on a rampage! Not only does she still have three medallions to give out, but piñatas as well! So don’t miss out on those Random Events!

The koko have gone missing ALL over Mistica!! No one can adopt or create one for their very own. What has happened?!?

Excited crowds of sprites and imps - for once not trying to bludgeon one another for gold or building materials - gathered around Pandoria’s Hollow Tree. The goddess herself was ready to announce the official end of the ridiculous war, and of course, who won it! Even the royals - King Mephitic, Prince Arman and Princess Aislin - waited with their people, albeit protected in palanquins.

Finally Pandoria emerged, fixing everyone with a hard stare. “This war was…pure folly, and absolutely disgraceful,” she began, sounding none too pleased, “just as it was last year. Unfortunately, there was a winner…and I can only hope some of you learned your lesson.

"The imps have won!” She declared, and cheers rose up from hundreds of rotten mouths at the news. The sprites glared hard at their enemies - and despite Pandoria’s admonitions, each was quite determined to outdo the imps next year!

Pandoria waited for the noise to die down, then kept on: “I have posted official tallies here,” she said, gesturing to the door of her Hollow Tree, where before the imp and sprite notes had been tacked, “so you may all look. And I do hope this will never happen again.” With that the goddess disappeared back into her home, shutting the door behind her with a sharp click.

The crowds pushed forward to read the scores:

Come and spend them here!” It was an imp speaking, grinning triumphantly and gesturing to his goods, all strewn out before him. “And for those of you dedicated enough, you can choose between a whole set of prizes, or a Daydream or Nightmare Pandoria Box!”

Now even cheers rose from the sprite’s mouths as the crowds changed course for the new shop, grinning and staring open-mouthed at the goods he carried.

Trophies and Avatars have been awarded to each side, we hope you enjoy spending your points and the amazing items contained in the shop! Welll done Mistica!

In other Mistica news, it seems that Volcan and the Traveler have temporarily closed up shop. Perhaps they had some items to turnin for the plot? You wouldn't want to hang on to any useless items, when it could help push your team to victory would you? (or perhaps give yourself the final push to some awesome prizes?) The choice is yours Mistican, but scores will be tallied tomorrow morning and no further points will be added to team or individual scores, so take heed!

We interrupt your scheduled program to bring you this special Mistican Action News announcement.


“Good evening Mistica! I am Ken Kratork, and tonight, we have a very special guest with us. Now, because of some… rather negative attitudes towards him, most of the staff have been restrained,” he motions to his arms, which are tied to his chair, “but you can still see my gorgeous face, so I suppose that is all that matters. Anyway, please welcome Makoto!”

The entire studio boos as Makoto sheepishly takes his seat, and one audacious cameraman manages to throw a boot at his head before being restrained by security guards.

“Um yeah, th-thank-you, Ken.” Makoto’s usual sly smile has been wiped off of his face, replaced with a small frown. His eyes no longer have that devilish glimmer, and he is rubbing a growing bump on his head. “I-I’d just like to, um, a…. oh, what is that word called. It starts with an a, um…. Apple? No, no, that’s not it….”

“Do you mean apologize?”

“Yeah! Yeah, that’s the one. Um, I’d just… like to apologize,” it is evident that Makoto has never apologized for anything in his life, and he appears rather uncomfortable. “This whole mess… wasn’t right of me, and I’d just like to say I’m sorry for everything I’ve caused. But please, my fellow Mistican brethren, the way to solve this isn’t with more violence but to lead by an example of peace! Please, I’ve got a wife and twelve kids, I just want to open up my shop again….”

Ken doesn’t look convinced. “Really? What are your kids’ names?”

“Oh. Um. Well, there’s… uh…. Okay. Fine. I don’t have any kids. But I do have a wife to support.”

All Ken has to do is look at him this time.

“Okay fine, I don’t have one of those either. But please, I just want to work and make my living just like the rest of you! I know I messed up, but don’t we all? Just… I urge you, Mistica, please turn in all of that… accursed gold, your building supplies, and use the last of your costumes! Each point not turned in is an advantage to your enemies!”

“Makoto, I swear, if you start this all over again….”

“Sorry, sorry. Just. Please, relinquish your supplies, get your points, and let’s end this. I really do miss my shop… and my money. And the things I bought with it for my wi- for myself. Thank-you.

Ken pauses for a moment before kicking Makoto’s chair off screen, chuckling softly as the pink feline goes tumbling off.

“Well, there you have it, Mistica. And as low and filthy as that rat is, you must admit that all of us are tired of the fighting. So please, turn in all of your war supplies and rack up those points! I hear that they’re going to become rather useful in the very near future….

This has been Ken Kratork with a special Mistican Action News report. Thank-you, Mistica, and good-night.”

“Good Evening Mistica! This is Ken Kratork here for a special Mistican Action News Team special news report!”

He swivels around in his chair dramatically to face camera 3.

“As many of you are aware, the past few weeks have been wracked with war sparked off by these,” he holds up a small piece of gold ore for a few seconds, remaining unflinching even as half of the station’s staff scramble to try and get their hands on it, “pieces of gold ore. The methods for procuring and protecting it have become more and more convoluted as the war has raged on – everything from pals to costumes. Many of us have been caught in fights over a single piece of this material, or perhaps even started them. So, this gold must be extremely valuable for such fuss to be made over it, right?

Wrong.” Ken pauses for dramatic effect.

“It turns out that this gold that we’ve been fighting over is nothing but Fool’s Gold! I have with me tonight Allen Yehxil, a geologist who has made this shocking discovery. It’s my pleasure to grace you with my presence, Allen.”

“Uh… thank-you?”

“No problem, no problem. So, Allen, what led you to believe that the gold was fake?”

“Well, Ken-“

“Thank-you.”

“…Yeah. Anyway, I was out making a run to the store when a fight broke out in the street before me. Somehow, the gold slipped from their hands and smacked me right in the face. I picked it up, and it felt… odd, for a piece of gold, so I took it back home. But even before I took it to my lab, I knew it wasn’t real gold.”

“And why is that? Geological intuition?”

“Actually, some of the paint chipped off when it hit me in the face. Honestly, all this ‘gold’ is is chunks of plastic painted with metallic gold paint. I have no idea why nobody noticed this before, I me-“

“Thank-you, Allen.” Ken kicks Allen’s chair off-camera. “So, you heard it here first, folks; the supposed Gold Ore is fake! And who is to blame for lying to all of Mistica and starting a war? Why, it is none other than that devious pink feline Makoto himself! So sprites and imps, stop fighting amongst yourselves and turn your hatred and anger upon that horrible little Anya!

I’ve been Ken Kratork, and this has been a special Mistican Action News Team report! Goodnight!” He grabs a pitchfork and a flaming torch from under his desk and runs out of the studio screaming at the top of his lungs.

Though it seems Makoto's shop is closed all of a sudden... I wonder where he's gone?  Might as well chuck any last gold or supplies you have, and use up your disguises. Your leadership will be tallying scores and there will be announcements soon! I wonder who came out on top during all this craziness?

Among all the chaos of the war, the sprite Prince and Princess had been hard at work on the clues left to them, attempting to give their people all the help they could. Finally, the Princess Aislin, clutching a battered looking piece of paper in her hand, ran into her brother’s study.

He was bent over his desk, frowning, and looked up when she entered. His expression became hopeful at the bright-eyed, excited look on her face. “What is it? Have you found something?” he asked eagerly.

Aislin grinned widely and nodded, and they went out to address their people.

Again crowds of sprites surrounded them. A few more, the prince and princess had heard, had managed to infiltrate the imp’s fort, but the majority had failed at it. That would be fixed today, the prince thought happily.


“Sprites!” Prince Arman called, and they looked up at him, hoping for more than hints and riddles, “Princess Aislin and I can now reveal the location to our enemy’s fort!” A great cheer greeted this amazing news; the prince waited for it to quiet before speaking again. “However, we can’t simply let everyone storm the fort at once, so here’s a simple puzzle for you to figure out,“ he ignored the groans of his people and went on, “It’s quite simple -

It’s cold outside, so come on in
My cuddly plushies will warm your skin
A golden eye is what you seek
Sewn on something pink and sweet.”

The prince and princess smiled to each other, watching as comprehension dawned on most of the faces before them.

Imps are known for their craftiness and King Mephitic was no exception. Since the war began he had labored away in his study, snapping at servants and shouting at anyone who happened to be in his way, frustrated at how long figuring out the clues had taken him.

Finally, the light went off in his head. Eyes wide, he stared at the conclusion before him, written out in the corner of a piece of paper bearing many other scribbles and notes, most crossed out violently. Grinning, the king went out to address his subjects once again.

He spoke without preamble. “I have found it! I have found where those little sprites are hiding!” A deafening roar of approval met these words, and the king grinned even wider, waiting for it to die down. “But we can’t all be going at once, so you’ve got to figure this out first -

The leaves have turned, fall fashion’s here!
So come update your wardrobe, dear.
The best fashions the sprites have claimed
To store behind a painted flame.”

Jaws dropped; eyes widened in the crowed around the king. He chuckled darkly to himself as several imps ran off, no doubt knowing where to go now.

Allen the Yehxil’s temper was about to explode. All around him, chaos reigned.

Daydream pals fluttered above his head, clouding the skies with their bright, prismatic colors. He squinted against the glare and looked down only to see horrid, nightmarish creatures slinking along in the sparse shadows. Some carried small amounts of mc in their mouths or hands, others gold or building materials. Then there were the sprites and imps themselves! The silly creatures - and those who had sided with them - were running around dressed as their enemy, attempting to find and infiltrate the forts.

Allen walked on, trying to ignore it all, when suddenly his path was blocked. A small crowd had gathered here, sprites to one side and imps on the other, and shouts and insults were being hurled loudly across the road. In the middle of it all stood an imp and a sprite, seemingly grappling over a shiny piece of gold.

The gold had stumped Allen for some time. The precious metal was supposed to be rare (and Allen would know, being a geologist), yet it was being tossed around like common stones!

“It’s MINE!” shouted the sprite.

The imp wasn’t about to give up, though. “You stole it! You tried to steal it from our fort but I caught you, so give it back!”

Neither would give up the gold piece, and they kept on tugging and wrestling, each attempting to best the other. Finally, their fingers must have given out, because with a loud cry of protest from both mouths the gold went flying - and smacked Allen right in the head.

“Ouch!” he yelped, rubbing his forehead. He picked up the gold and turned it over in his hands - but was quickly set upon by the angry imps and sprites!

He ran. He had to find out why this gold was so common, and that meant he needed the piece he now held. With the crowd shouting behind him Allen set off for his lab, a determined look on his face.

So we 'celebrate' Friday the 13th today... we know Misticans around the world are excited for the Jinx releases we thought we'd share a few facts about this illustrious, (albeit terrifying day!)

Today marks the ONLY Friday the 13th this year! You won't see these guys again until Lanturnacht! (And after that, 2011's only appearance is in MAY!)

There once was a ship in Mistica named Friday the 13th. It set sail, of course on Friday the 13th, many years ago... and was never seen again.

The fear of the number 13 is called Triskaidekaphobia. And the fear of Friday the 13th has two names; paraskavedekatriaphobia & friggatriskaidekaphobia.

Confused crowds of loyal sprites crowded around their beloved prince and princess, standing atop pedastals of intricately carved tree stumps. Prince Arman raised his hands for silence, and the masses turned their eyes to him, hoping for answers.

"Good sprites!" He called in resonating tones, "It seems our notes have not been enough to lead you to our great enemy's stronghold. The princess and I have been studying them, and believe we can help!"

At his words a great cheer rose up from the gathered sprites, hopeful smiles spreading across their bright faces.

Motioning for silence once again, the prince continued. "First, look to the notes now tacked to Pandoria's Hollow Tree. Read them carefully! They point you to a very specific place, somewhere all of you have been many times! A single word is your answer, and it will lead you to the second clue."

Meanwhile, hidden in the deep, twisted shadows of Darkwood Hollow, King Mephitic also spoke to his people. The imp's scowling, impatient faces stared up at him expectantly. He offered an oily smile.

"My imps!" He cried, spreading his arms to encompass the entire dirty, stinking crowd before him, "It seems most of you have failed in finding the sprite's little hideaway. I, however, am here to help! We are winning, and it must stay that way!"

Cheers rose from hundreds of raspy throats, falling silent at their king's gesture. "Our note tacked to Pandoria's tree leads right to the first clue. It speaks of one specific word that will lead to the next; but beware, this word is hidden among many!"

Those imps, of course they were going to get ahead of us with the infiltrating and stealing! We have to do something sprites! The numbers stand as such!

Keep it up Imps! We are in the lead and we are going to stay that way!  We have some hard working imps infiltrating and spying.. 7 to 2 at this point! Who else is going to join us in stealing points for our own ends?

 

Uh oh, things just turned nasty! The sprites are woefully behind in infiltration and spying, but what can you expect? Will they dig deep and catch up? Time will tell...

And now.. a word from Zara!

Words are not enough to express what your notes, and hugs and support have meant to me this week. Many of you heard that my husband was unexpectedly hospitalized and underwent emergency surgery. We were in the hopsital for a full week, and 5 of those days in the ICU. We returned home last night, and he's resting and recuperating. We know we have a long road ahead of us, so we will take it day by day. I wouldn't have made it without all of you, and my amazing and wonderful staff that kept things going while I was unable to be here. The "Zara week" was unexpected and so sweet. I know the words just don't seem enough, but it's all I have right now.

Here is a small collection of updates that we feel you should know about to make your Mistic life that little bit easier!

First off; you are now able to move/remove items from your gallery categories in "multiples". Thats right, when you manage your category, you are able to enter the amount you wish to move/remove; rather than having to do it one at a time!

Secondaly, you are now able to set an option in your Chatroom Preferences under Forum Settings as to whether you wish to receive the "Flashing Red" nofitication when the Chatroom opens.

Thirdly, when you edit your Pets Module on your User Profiles you are now able to limit the amount of pets you wish to display.

...and Lastly; when you now view a Mistic Mail, you may have noticed you are able to see who sent the reply, and who the reply was sent to. This should prove useful if you send a Mistic Mail and the member does not reply; you will be able to work out who you sent it to.

When you are checking in your pets for an Extended Stay you are able to select multiple pets at once to check in.

In honour of Zara; any pets which are checked in today for 1 Day will be free of charge. Anything other 1 day will be the usual price; and as of tomorrow, checking pets in for 1 Day will return to the usual 500 MC price.
