The pound has received a much needed update and makeover!

So head on over and take a look. If you set your mouse on a pet, you can still see theirs stats, so don't fear that the info is gone. You can also now see more pets per page.

Pound fees have increased slightly since there is so much MC flowing from all the new games lately!

And take note, you can only disown one pet a day!

Your "view all pets" page has had an update as well. Mouseovers will get you all your pets stats conveniently, so we hope you enjoy.

Charity has had a bit of an overhaul as well!

She has a few levels to unlock and get some great prizes. (give her 3,000 items and you'll get a BIG surprise!) Seems like she may have something planned for the near future, I'd keep an eye on her!

"Thanks, John. I'm here at Keilly's cafe in Ravi-Sorin, where the spunky Cheran owner was first told the news, and where rumors have just been radiating from. Thanks for joining us today, Keilly."

"Oh, thank-you, Ken. I absolutely adore the Super Awesome Mistican Action News Team, and it's an honor to have you here!"

"Oh, thank-you, Keilly; we are indeed very worthy of adoration. So, tell us, how did you come to learn about these ruins?"

"Well, Ken, being the owner of the most popular cafe in all of Ravi-Sorin means that I get a wide variety of Misticpets from all over here, including the archaeologists who frequent the Desert's many dig sites. While working a few days ago, Gerald Gourix, one of my best customers and one of Mistica's most renowned archaeologists bursts in.

He was sweaty and his eyes were as big as saucers, and had this ridiculous grin slapped on his face. He ran up to the counter and grabbed me by the shoulders, rambling on too quickly for me to make out what he was saying. I calmed him down with a good smack upside the head, and he finally was able to say to me, 'Dear Pandoria, Keilly, we've found something amazing! Quickly, quickly, you have to come see it!'

And so he pretty much dragged me out of the cafe and over to the Itzair ruins, where he excitedly shoved a bunch of old papers in my face. They said something along the lines of, 'nothing is truly useless. everything has its purpose; it just has to wait for the right Mistican to come along to discover that purpose.'"

"Very interesting, Keilly. Any insight on what that means?"

"Gerald explained it to me; he said that documents and wall-carvings they had found nearby led them to believe that this land was something of a... mystical pawn shop, if you will. Misticans from all over Ravi Sorin would come to discard their unwanted items, and once buried here those who really needed them would be able to dig them
up. And it is still active today, Ken! Gerald and the whole of Ravi-Sorin is so very excited!"

"Ah, very exciting indeed! Thank-you, Keilly, for your report. So you heard it, Mistica; grab your shovels and your unwanted junk and head on down to the Scarab Desert to start digging!

Seems to be a bit of a ruckus today in the land of Mistica. What could be happening? All over the land, the celebrations of Revelry ring out and people are in high spirits, but an underccurent ripples through the world.  What could it be?

Has gotten a bit of an update. If you head in, you'll notice a way to send MC to another user.

Simply input the amount you wish to send, and the next screen will show you your Mistic Cheque!


Once you fill out your intended receipient, hit send and they will be notified of the transaction.

You will now have a Cheque Register, that will display the last 50 checks that you've sent out to keep track of your finances.

Remember to PIN protect your bank to safeguard if you feel the need. Hope this feature comes in handy for commissions and other transactions!

Bayou Benni is back and it's that time of the year again! And boy do we have a lot to celebrate!!

The bugs and cooties have stopped infesting us, spring is just around the corner and we are all due for some partying! Let's rock this planet and let loose!

What are you going to do with these useless items you ask? Well, it seems that all the critters were fleeing the swamp because the Rougarou was banging away and setting up SHOP!



But he doesn't have need of coin, he's a collector and has a raging appetite! Take in your revelry goods and any extra cooties and lovebugs that you have. He'll gladly take them and give you credit for an item of your choice!**

As you know, everyone in Mistica loves to collect and with the recent celebrations of the Gourix we thought it was only fitting to put together a Gourix Theme Collection.

That right, when you head to you Collections within the Account Preferences you will a new collection is available.

Please remember that each evening, the system will calculate who has a COMPLETE collection as of that time and trophies will be awarded. If you break up a collection by trading/selling/using any items, the next night the system will remove your trophy until you have a full set once again.

We have received further reports about the howling getting louder, we sure hope those small creatures are safe! Please be safe in and around near the swamp!

All participants have been awarded a shiny new trophy to commemorate their survival of the Infestation of 2010! High scores are listed in the Hall of Fame so take a look!

The infestation is OVER!  And we've all survived! Many are hard at work on some super cure for those that wish to rid themselves of the cootie and lovebug bites that have rendered their pets  almost useless with twittery love!

Gourix Facts will be up and posted in Mistic Chat very soon, we hope you enjoy learning about these amazing creatures! Pandoria seems to have noticed the Gourix frenzy sweeping across theland, she's stocking a new egg in her shop!

Take note that your pet overview page now displays gender. And we hope to take steps to improve your Books/Food listings easier to navigate in the near future. This does involve some database manuevering, and we need to take steps to ensure we approach it in the right manner. :)

Our monthly contests have had a bit of an update! No longer will anyone need to worry about emails going astray. Submission for each of our contests will be directly onsite!

Alexander the baby Belragoth was building a fort of blocks with his friends when all of a sudden a girl snuck/sneaked up on them and tried to kiss him! And she's not the only one - suddenly, girls all over the daycare are chasing the boys around, trying to give them kisses. What could possibly be happening?! Could the girls have...cooties?

Every sane boy has retreated and it's up to Alexander to stop the girls! Can you help our pint-sized hero head off the invasion and save the Daycare from imminent disaster?

Whew!

Welcome back Mistica! I"m sure that most of you couldn't help but realize that we were down ALL day long. The important thing is that we are back now.

The downtime was due to some sort of hardware failure on the server end. It was nothing that 'we' caused and it wasn't malicious, so do not fear. :)  There may be a few things still out of sync regarding daily activities, I will be working to do what I can since Paul is away for the weekend.

We all love to collect! But what happens if you gather all the items on the list?

You get a Medal of course!

Each evening, the system will calculate who has a COMPLETE collection as of that time. And trophies will be awarded. If you break up a collection by trading/selling using any items, the next night... the system will remove your trophy until you have a full set once again.  We hope you enjoy!

Now for news on this cootie/lovebug curse that has befallen all of Mistica. We know you have been tossing as furiously fast as you are able, and it seems to have riled them all up!

From now until this darned INFESTATION is over... the cooties and lovebugs will be going through various periods of biting frenzies. These can last an hour... or a day. (Or any period of time within that!) Be watchful for the biting RE's, and remember that to cure your pet of the LoveSick or HeartSick disease, all you need to do is feed them sweet things!

Utilizing these, you can now toss directly from the forums! The icons will be greyed out when you are unable to toss due to time constraints. :)

You may have noticed some of the pets around the site have been looking a little... sick over the last couple of days? These poor pets have been sick for an entire YEAR thanks to the bites they received last infestation. Now you can see the physical manifestation of their illness!

Don't despair, you can easily negate the effects by... eating SWEETS! That's right, eat some sweets, or look for the love potion to cure your pets if they've been afflicted.

In other areas of the site, we have a bit of an update.

If you take a stroll to your preferences, you'll notice a new button!

Currently, there are three collections to view. These are personal checklists, but we hope to expand the program very soon! Please enjoy as we fine tune this feature. Make sure to keep checking on cooties and lovebugs, I'm sure their numbers will grow soon!

It is that time of the year again, and Mistica... you better watch out! Cooties and Lovebugs are here, just like the Hug Bug warned! They are descending in droves, and make the perfect ammunition!

Head to your friends and loved ones profiles and start your cootie and lovebug tossing NOW!  Remember you can launch every 60 mins. There will be periods where Champions will have reduced waiting times between tosses so keep an eye out when those get posted. See how many you can toss, and keep an eye out for Cootie Shots and LoveBug Spray in Rosebud's shop!
