"It's terrible!  Those thieves have made off with a shipment of my merchandise! This gold obsession has gone to their heads, those dresses weren't even real gold!"
 
You take a step back from Lance, given that his temper is starting to match his theme a little too well, and you'd rather not be grilled -- by questioning or otherwise.
 
"This is all they left me with -- a box of notes!" He shoves one in your face, making sure you're well aware of the injustice of the situation, and then strides off to question the next unsuspecting Mistican.
 
Hmm. If this is what the imps are up to, the sprites aren't far behind. Better check your safebox to see what they ran off with...

“Come one, come all, down to Makoto’s fabulous Lighthouse Nicknacks!” The rather pink Anya opens his arms, beckoning all who hear his booming voice over to his shop. Wares from all over Mistica clutter the blanket where he is perched atop his soapbox, but your eye is drawn to some hastily built wooden stands located right behind him.

You notice that the Sun is glinting off of something rather shiny – or rather many somethings, jammed into shallow boxes atop the stands. Makoto follows your gaze and smirks. “Ahhh, I see you have noticed my latest product?” he purrs, hopping down onto the warm sand and motioning for you with his paw. “Come, why don’t you take a closer look?”

You follow him over to the stands, and your jaw nearly hits the ground; there before you lie hundreds of pieces of solid gold, shimmering and glistening in brilliant juxtaposition to the battered wood in which they are housed. Your hand moves on its own, fingers extending towards the precious metal, but is halted by a small paw. Grasping your hand delicately, Makoto guides it away from his most valuable merchandise. “Ah ah ah, we mustn’t touch,” he warns. “However, for the right price, you can call one of these pieces of gold your very own. And then, of course, you can touch it as much as your little heart desires.” Makoto’s smile had grown to a size that would have aroused suspicion -- were you not currently dazzled by the gold before you.

To sweeten the deal, Makoto continues: “And might I add, I’ve noticed certain Imps with their eye on this gold since the moment I set up this display earlier this morning. It seems to be of great importance to their King, and so if you’re a sympathizer with their side, I’d buy all of the gold you can get your hands on as to please your leader. And if you happen to be on the opposing side… well, you wouldn’t want to let those nasty Imps get their grubby claws on all of this nice, shiny gold, now, would you?”

Pandoria appears as Tormic does his nightly rounds for all his fine forest friends. Startled, the sprite is comic in his antics as he seaches for the words to welcome the goddess to his humble shop.

Thankfully, she is there with good tidings indeed! She silences him with a look and raises her hand to reveal two pairs of very unusual creatures!

"Tormic, for a time you have these gifts to sell, take care of these special pals."  With what could almost be construed as a wink, she is gone in a warm summer wind, only her gifts left behind to prove she had really been there.

Seems that Pandoria has entirely granted her forgiveness for last years debacle. Thank the heavens!

Was it just me, or did Yhexil day seem a bit... lacking in the item department? Well that little problem can be easily resolved! With a little bit of searching, more items have been found to further celebrate, though a bit late.

Zaffy has a new pal in stock, though it doesn't look creepy at all. Ah well, Tormic can't have all the fun.


A new egg has been spotted in Pandoria's chamber, and what a specimen it is! What sort of wonderful creature will unfold?

Darkwood Hollow is bustling with activity today, but why? You squeeze your way through the crowd, just in time to hear a familiar voice making an announcement.

"Welcome, citizens of Mistica!" Tormic calls out. "We are always honored when you grace us with your presence. Today, I would like to inform all of you that I will be selling Daydream and Nightmare misticpals for a limited time again!"

A gasp goes up from the crowd, and you wonder with the rest of them if Tormic is crazy for trying this again.  

"Don't worry!" He calls out to the startled residents of the Hollows. "I received permission from both the Imps and the Sprites. It's not going to incur events like last year," Tormic says with a weak laugh. "I certainly don't want to go through that again."

The tension in the crowd declines with his reassurance. Tormic glances off to the side nervously, and following his view, you see Pandoria at the edge of the clearing.  The two are locked in each others' sights for a moment, then Pandoria nods, her face stern but granting approval. She then turns and walks away.

Well, you think to yourself, if Pandoria has allowed it, then hopefully there won't be any problems this time.

It looks as though Charitee has been hard at work. Pleased with the donations she has received from the members of Mistica so far, Charitee has decided to set up a rewards shop, in hopes to encourage more donations.

This new shop is filled with items you won’t be able to get anywhere else.

However you need to donate specific items to Charitee to obtain Loyalty Points, the only currency she will take for her goods.

PROFILE ALERT!

You will be pleased to know when you edit your User Profile CSS options you are now able to set your own column widths.

Please note, if you wish to update to a "2" column layout, you need to remove all of the modules you have in your 3rd column and set the width to 0. You will then be able to set your 1st and 2nd column widths appropiately.

Edited To Add: Pet Profiles have been updated so they can also have user defined column widths.

Psst! Congratulations to Psychosis! I was beginning to wonder if the Terror Box in Zarabeythe's shop was EVER going to sell! It sat in there close to a week, with no interest at all!

Weather reports have been coming in thick and fast!

It seems a vast amount of very colorful rainbows have overtaken the user profiles and also the pet profiles!

When you edit your profiles you will notice an updated set of options, you are now able to set all sorts of colours to make your profiles super spectacular!

P.S. Staff are working extra hard on providing a solution to the columns. We are hoping to offer different layouts and widths to columns very soon.

So THIS is why all of our pets started acting funny! They have all acquired new profiles, and Jahzara has been mesmerizing them with personalities!

Take a look at your new pet profiles, they will seem pretty familiar to those of you that have played with your own user profiles. However, there are a few things that are unique to your pet profiles.

Comments: Now your pets can leave comments for other pets around the world! A whole new level of interactivity for your pets!

Collections: Each pet can choose to display their collection. Four items for the time being, that can help flesh out your pet's character or backstory.

Mistcpals are now shown with your pet, in the pet information module; and you can show off the weapons you have equipped in your battle module. Books and Food lists still remain and will expand when clicked upon.

More updates are coming for the profiles, which will give you more choices in your modules and layout.

As far as personalities go... Jahzara will be available to help 'set' your pets personality traits for a time. The first time for each pet will be free of charge, but if you change your mind in this grace period, it will be 2,000 MC. Jazara will be available for 2 weeks to help mesmerize and brainswash your pets, so pick wisely, who knows what effects these personalities may have down the road!

Choose careful; you never know what these personalties may influence in the future!

User shops have received a much needed renovation!

The overall usability and efficiency of the user shops has been improved. In particular, you are able to remove items from your shop much more easily and conviently.

Your shop till has also been improved, you can check your receipts from your till and also review your top 5 customers!

We are looking for applicants for our art and writing departments who can dedicate the necessary time to meet a monthly quota of at least 200 credits worth. Applicants should work well as part of a team, be open to critique, and actively provide feedback in staff discussions. A friendly personality, good sense of humor, and bribery with cookies is a plus.

Artists are expected to match the style of Misticpets’ art. We are currently looking for artists to assist in the following positions:
 
Item artists – are responsible for drawing small scale art for the site, including but not limited to: items, trophies, random event icons, etc.
 
Graphic artists – are responsible for creating graphic elements for the site, including but not limited to: avatars, banners, buttons, ads, messenger icons, etc.  Should be able to add animation to the graphics.
Artists for miscellaneous art stock – are responsible for drawing some of the larger art for the site, which includes but is not limited to: pet visual (layout) images, shopkeepers & NPCs, comics for the Chronicles, etc. …. not the item-sized art, in other words. Ability to create item art as well would be a bonus, but not necessarily required.
