Is still strong in Mistica!  And to prove it, we bring you these amazing new pets! Let's welcome the Frost Stignightus, the WinterCursed Inarbu, and the WinterGreen Obsideon!

A very limited number of Stignigtus and Obsideon pets are now available for creation and their Poppets will restock for a 3 day period.

Revelry!

The Rougarou has opened up his shop to display his wonders to the world!  On top of last years offerings, there are a few new items to take note of!
These amazing plushies really display the Revelry Spirit!


And these new mask additions!

We know that it will be difficult; if not impossible to complete the entire inventory in one year. However, the option to trade and barter outside of the shop is still available to everyone looking to round out their collections outside of Revelry.

New Pet Panel!


We are sure you've noticed the new Pet Panel in the formerly blank Ad Space to the right. Now, while playing the site, your active pet will be available to use and take care of more easily than ever before!

Your pet, pal and stats are all easily viewable. And you can see two 'boxes' that will be very important!

Toy Box

This box will hold an assortment of 10 toy items. You can easily play with and keep your pet happy by selecting this box and choosing any toy within it to play with.  When all your toys are broken, you willl need to refill your box!

Food Box

This Box will hold your food, and you can easily feed your active pet no matter where you are onsite, if you keep it full. The Food Box will hold 10 items that you can select and will need to be constantly refilled.

Each of these boxes can be filled quite easily! If you head to your quickstock area, you will notice links to fill either your Food Box or Toy Box and be able to select from your inventory.

How in the world is Bayou Benni up so early, and playing his accordian to boot?
Winter's cold is finally beginning to fade and flowers are just starting to think about peeking out of their buds, and after the chaos of Infestation, it's time to celebrate!


But it looks like the ever hungry Rougarou was woken by Benni's early start on the party. And he's not happy about it! Enraged, he let loose a roar that was said to shake the vine-draped trees of the swamp, and set out to find the noisy Benni.

Poor Bayou Benni was no match for the Rougarou. The monster tracked him down, soaking on the fringes of the swamp, accordion in hand and his crazy hair swaying as he bobbed his head to his own music. The sound was quickly cut off as Rougarou snatched him up in one huge hand and, snarling threats, hauled the little creature back to his lair.

The only light there was the eerie, pulsing purple glow of the eye necklace draped around the Rougarou. Benni was tossed to the damp ground where he huddled, his terrified eyes huge in the darkness, at the beast's feet.

"If you're going to keep me awake, you'll keep me entertained...or fed," Rougarou growled, and Benni could only squeal in fear.

It looks like us Misticans will have to keep poor Benni from becoming Rougarou's lunch! Keep him appeased by getting him the items he asks for, and maybe Benni will come out of the celebrations in one piece.

"I be the King of Revelry now Mistica and you must pay homage to ME! Bring me the goodies that you toss in fun, and I will reward you handsomly!  NOW GO!"

Better head out and start tossing some Revelry Items around Misticans! There is plenty in the collection and you'll want to start gathering a good selection.

Each and every hour, you can toss 3 Revelry Items to your fellow members.* However, they must be 3 different people. Spread the Revelry Love people!

What use are these Trinkets you may ask?

Well this year, the Rougarou has declared himself KING of Revelry and he's asking the citizens of Mistica to partake of a quest! He'll be asking for these trinkets and you may do 10 quests a day to gather points.* (You must wait 30 mins between quests)

His shop each year is filled with many goodies, and there will be some new stock this year, so get busy and find your Revelry Spirit!

You are able to Toss 5 items every 60 mins, but to different members same as the rest of the community.

You are also allowed 15 quests a day to gather points from the Rougarou's quest.

Server Down

The server company is looking into the issue that caused us to go down. It was not something at our level, or even theirs. They had to contact the data center to bring us back up. We do not expect any more downtime, but thank you for hanging in there!

The themes center around both Znakes and Revelry. Both which are right around the corner. Are you ready for more fun right on the heels of Infestation?

Infestation has come to a close, and we want to thank everyone for a great year. SO many Lovebugs and Cooties were caught. However, this year, the cooties were throroughly trounced by those collecting Lovebugs.

The final count stands at:
Cooties in Circulation: 5678
Lovebugs in Circulation: 12732

We\'d like to give kudos to our top collectors this year, they are each receiving their respective Trophies, seen below.

Shedinja collected the move LOVEBUGS at 261!
Caitlingal collected the most COOTIES at 108!


These two were neck and neck the entire time, and the trophies were almost both awarded to one person!

The Infestation Delivery service is now closed, but there will be some boxes still available via Random Events, so keep your eyes peeled if you need a few more hearts to get your Heart Candy Collection Medal!

Keep in mind these candies are an excllent way to heal your pet if you'd like to cure their heart or love sickness. Along with the Love Potions.

And last, but definitely not least. The Love Trophy for 2011 has been awarded to the last accounts that participated in this fun filled site event.

She ordered this plushie special to commemorate the birthday of a special staff member.  She's always on hand to save the day and help out in any way she can. And we heard she's a fan of fantasy and Ren faires. ;)

Seems that the LoveBugs and Cooties have had it up HERE with being caught and eaten and handled!  They are retaliating in full force by biting our poor pets!*

There's nothing that can stop these fearsome pests, luckily they are almost at the end of their infestation cycle and are not known to carry any diseases other than LoveSickness and HeartSickness.  And at least the cure for those are easy!

Simply feed your pets the cooties or lovebugs themselves, or other sweet treats and the aura of love will leave them completely!  It does appear this year that the effect of sweets has been increased and will remove 2 levels of heartsickness or lovesickness from your pets.

And of course... Rosebud is stocking the Love Potion in quantities of 5 so keep an eye out for that. It heals your pets 5 levels of sickness!

For those of you that have jumped in and been participating by catching lovebugs and cooties, we commend you! Check your trophies, everyone that has participated has been given this shiny new addition!

We wanted to post up a newspost explaining some recent issues we had regarding Trades. Phantom items were appearing that didn't belong where they ended up.

We want to thank everyone who helped us sort this out and gave us the information that helped us gain hold of the problem and fix it as quickly as we could. At this point, all items have been recovered and returned to their rightful owners and the glitch has been fixed.

You will be happy to know that a few issues with cooties/lovebugs have been addressed as well. (Double catching/finding on Auctoin pages etc).

Infestation!

Yes, it's that time of the year again Mistica and the Cooties and Lovegugs have descended in droves to take over our world!  It's definitely time to take advantage of all this love and care being tossed around as these critters worm their way into every nook and cranny on Mistic.

There are over 50 to collect, but who knows if a few extra new guys won't pop up?

This year, you will not be tossing cooites and lovebugs at your fellow members. You'll have to search them out! They will appear randomly on your pages as you wander through the site and you'll have to jump on them when you see them. Click to see if you can capture them!

Keep in mind that you could finish the collections and get a medal or two for your troubles!

Might be a good time to activate your champion dust, you'll be able to find more cooties and lovebugs during the infestation period!

Important Note!
If you see a cootie or lovebug, you must click on it straight away, if you are on multiple tabs, it will make the critter more apt to 'run away' than be caught. Don't miss out on them, and stay alert!

Only want one or the other of these critters? Utilize these fixes to get rid of one or the other (or both) of these pesky groups!

These items are in the credit shop, but will also stock as very rare items in Rosebuds. (and rumor has it, there are quite a few buried in the ruins!)
If you'd care to reverse the effects at anytime, you can pick up the 'antidotes'.

Cooties and Lovebugs aren't the only thing to collect this year! Take a gander at these new candies that are sweeping the land of Mistica. Search out Boxes which will randomly give you a Candy Heart when opened. Can you collect them all before the celebrations come to an end?  They will appear all over the site in contests, random events and more!

Go visit Rosebud, and click her image in the Holiday Goodies Shop. She's teamed up with Maury to deliver some extra goodies this year! Every hour, you may send up to 3 each hour to friends to help with their collecting*. There are also notes and cards you can choose to send!
