Seem that Coppa caught wind of Makoto's money making scheme and moved in to take that greedy cat down.  However, upon setting up to take Makoto down, Coppa found himself checking out a regular shop? The Illicit Gains shop had vanished!  Where could it have gone?

Well, when you do come across it, you may notice a few things different. Makoto will still be selling illicit goods, things that are in scarce supply, treasure bag and credit shop items, and items normally only found through other means...  but the pricing may be a bit different. Seems that in order to make a buck, and perhaps gain leniency if he's ever busted, Makoto has decided upon pricing around the 100% markup.

Pricing has been adjusted after input from members. The prices are still high, you probably won't find many things if any under the million mark. There are other ways to get the items that will be featured, but you will pay a premium MC rate for getting a hold of them without going through other means.  This is in part to protect those that sell credit shop items to sustain their banks

Ever since last spring, the shopkeepers of Mistica have been keeping a very close eye on Makoto. The sneaky anya has been on his best behavior, with not a single incident of thievery or cheating -- that anyone's seen, anyway. Now, however...

Odd goings-on at the beach have been reported by a few swimmers and late night wanderers. After sunset it seems this greedy anya has been roaming around, searching out customers and selling some rather shady goods! Rumors abound, but so far, no one has been clever enough to catch him at it; he doesn't seem to stay in one place, or even set up shop regularly every night.

Even our dedicated Officer Coppa can't seem to pin any crime on Makoto, and the anya, of course, refuses to talk. Will you have better luck? And if your moral compass is a bit skewed, maybe you'll find some treasures to take home...

 

 

Illicit Gains

If you can find the way to his shop, you just may be in for a surprise. Long lost items and more await you, but you'll pay a heavy price for them. Makoto is out to make as much as he can, and he won't haggle! Quantities are limited, and the shop will not stay in one place for long, so don't bother bookmarking it. Enjoy this elusive Illicit Gains shop, best suited to those with heavy, heavy purses.

In other Mistic News, the chatbox has been revamped and is open for business! You'll see a few changes in how things function it's a great improvement!

One of the biggest changes that you'll see is that there are a few rooms now. Champs have a hangout spot, and staff can get together and chat right here onsite!

A little more serious note, we'd like to let the community know that Mistic has stepped up it's fundraising efforts.


We have purchased an adoption kit in support of the Gray Wolf, you can read a little bit more about it if you click the image above.

We plan to continue this trend, and offer awareness and support to the many endangered and threatened species that inhabit this planet.

 

And just in case anyone missed the announcement yesterday with the edited newspost and re-alerted news, the big fuss and reveal yesterday was a new Mistic themed site, geared towards adoptables. It is being beta-tested by the Champion Members, and we are on track for a general release on May 1st.  You can read more about it at the link provided below.

Undeveloped and wild, the small forest of Raziela has been dormant for as long as most Misticans can remember. Darkwood Hollow is large enough to hold most forest dwellers, after all, so who needs another one?

Well, someone's moved in!

After such a successful event, in which close to 2,500 pals were released back into their natural habitat, the Society for the Preservation of the Natural Habitat of Misticpals is making some noise in Raziela! This forested canyon, lost for so long, is now full of the chattering of Sparras and roars of Obsideon Lions!

I wonder how they'll go about their noble work all alone? After all, rehabilitating and releasing Misticpals requires some serious manpower! I suppose we'll just have wait and see...

This item will allow you to add 4 spaces to your pet collection. Please take note that you can now edit that your pet collection module and organise your collections!

We have a new fun and exciting task for you this Ostara Season!
Check out these bejewelled eggs. Do you want them for your very own collection?




Every hour, randomly, an alert will go out to let the members know that a Bejewelled Egg is hidden somewhere onsite. It can be almost anywhere, excepting Forum Boards and Profiles.

Only the first 3 Misticans* to find the egg each hour will get one for their very own to keep, so keep an eye out for the alert and enjoy hunting them out!  This will last through the end of the month at the very least, so don't get disheartened Mistica. Enjoy the game!

*Late night Misticans will only have 1 egg available to claim, due to the very low number of online players during the night.

Ostara Eggs!

"Do you all know what is coming? Why, Pandoria's birthday approaches!!" Rosebud exclaimed with glee. "It's that time of the year when we give thanks to our goddess for all that she has done to aid us throughout the history of our fair world. Are you ready to gather and decorate eggs for offerings to our goddess?"


Head on over to Rosebud's Holiday Goodies shop to stock up on your dye pots and rubber bands! You'll need them as you capture eggs onsite and hope to transform them!

...you can create nifty eggs like these!







(Keep in mind each egg 'recipe' only needs 3 items to work!)

So gather your dye pots, and other tools and get to making some fancy eggs! Also, Sunny has plain hard boiled eggs stocking in some high quantities, so head on over and get yours today!

As we head into the weekend, the bright sunshine has inspired the Skillow of Mistica to break into song as they enjoy their springtime flights!

We wanted to utilize this newspost to let you know that a few things have changed regarding your beloved pets.

Charitee has instituted a one pet abandonment a day policy for the Pound. This will keep floods of pets to a minimum.


Keep in mind that you have the World Traveler item if you need to send a pet safely between accounts.

 
The bigger change involves your activity onsite and the care and condition of your pet!  From now on, your active pet needs to have a minimum level of  mood and hunger in order for you to play site games and participate in events.

This threshold is low, and will help the economy by making more use of consumable goods (toys and food).

All games, excluding contests will be affected by this change.
Keep in mind it is only your active pets. No heart attacks for the bigger 'families' in Mistica!

Mistica would not be here today if it weren't for him.

It's that time of the year again Mistica! Welcome to Poisson D'Avril! Capture the paper fish you see floating around the site and enjoy sending them to friends as mementos of this day.

Once upon a time... you'd attempt to 'stick' rotting fish on your friends and family on April 1st. Thankfully it has evolved to involve PAPER fish, instead of Rotting fish. (thank goodness!)

So keep your eyes peeled for this little paper fish to collect in commemoration of this day!
