Benni was ready to declare this the best Revelry yet! With three days past and not so much as a growl from the Rougarou, Benni’s accordion had gone unhindered and his hide remained intact. Maybe the monster would never wake…

Not everyone was thrilled with the noise, however. As Benni’s joyous accordion carried its notes across the Banshee Swamp, Zulime was trying to sew earplugs out of leftover cloth from her poppets.

“That’s enough!” The wizened Belragoth declared to the eerily glowing poppets lining her shelves. Fuming, she stomped over to the wooden door of the shop, slightly bloated from all the moisture in the air, and slammed it shut with a tremendous thud. She did the same to the single window above her cauldron and then proceeded to lock both. “I’m closed until that wretched creature stops!”

Unwilling to open her doors, the furious Zulime ignored the Misticans who had braved the Banshee Swamp to find her, letting them bang on the door until they finally left.

But don't cry too long Mistica! There's a new festive set of Jugglers to keep an eye out for!

Bayou Benni had, as usual, woken up Revelry morning with a song in his heart and a ready and willing accordion by his side. After a few careful glances around the Banshee Swamp, in which he only saw the usual fog and vines and buzzing insects, he grinned and blasted out the first note of the holiday! And it seems there's more to celebrate than just Revelry, It's Stacy and Lolly's birthday!
Visit the Pomme tree for this lizard favorite Pomme, and perhaps see Rosebud for the pretty kitty!

With his little arms working furiously and his beret askew, Benni hadn’t realized something was odd until hours of uninterrupted playing later. He frowned and set down his instrument, wondering what felt so…wrong. 

A moment later it came to him: the Rougarou was silent!

Benni started to tremble. If the beast was so quiet, surely he had woken already and had another nasty plot in mind for this year? Benni could all too clearly remember last Revelry, which he had spent in the company of the Rougarou without any choice in the matter. It hadn’t been much of a celebration, what with all the threats of being eaten alive.

But Benni couldn’t help it; after a few more monster-free minutes, the swamp was ringing with his beloved music. What he didn’t think of, however, was what would happen to the Rougarou’s treasure if the beast never woke up!

Are you content to let the monster sleep? Benni seems to be, but Harmony’s a bit more concerned! Her shop has been stocked to the ceilings with musical instruments and now seems to be the perfect time to stock up! Can you all make a loud enough noise to get the Rougarou stirring?

Start Tossing all those lovely Revelry items, everyone's goign to be searching for these new additions! Jugglers!






Once you get enough items stockpiled, you can try your hand with Bayou Benni above, he'll be taking items and handing out Revelry points so everyone can be ready when we wake up the Rougarou!

Pandoria was the first to notice that the swarms had thinned. The goddess stepped out of her vine-veiled home, and to her surprise, only a few stray Luvhoppers and Luvsquitoes were buzzing around her head. Swatting them away, she looked up and saw an enormous cloud of pink and red charging through Darkwood Hollow, towards the Woods of Ages.

But the Infestation had left its mark on Mistica. Lovesick pets were still stumbling about, and Officer Coppa was running himself ragged trying to round them up and find their owners! Rosebud and Kandie continued to do their parts to help the infected heal, though the crowds in their shops were starting to get a little ridiculous.

In the wake of the cooties and lovebugs, an old but still mysterious face has decided to show itself! The Hug Bug emerged from his home in the forest, sending out a message to all Misticans:

“Some of my little cousins haven’t returned home! They all need their rest after such a successful Infestation. If you bring them to me, I’ll make it worth the journey…”

The Hug Bug seems to have something special waiting for anyone brave enough to go and visit him! Hopefully you have a few extra Lovebugs and Cooties buzzing around…

…and Officer Coppa isn’t happy about it!

Pets all over Mistica have been reporting the usual symptoms of Love and Heart Sickness as cooties and lovebugs continue to run rampant over the world. Odd, heart-shaped clouds surround their heads, and the infected can’t seem to speak anything besides clichéd pickup lines.

In the interest of public health and to get Bud the Bum to stop hitting on her, Kandie has announced a blitz sale at Sweets R Us! Candy and chocolate seem to help cure the sicknesses, and so all items are stocking in higher quantities!

Not to be outdone for any holiday, Rosebud has stepped up and marked down her Love Potions (also an excellent cure for your love-stricken pets) by 10%!

Officer Coppa recommends everyone keep a large supply of these items on hand should their pets become infected, especially if you’re foolhardy enough to go out hunting for cooties and lovebugs!

Mistica may be beset by swarms of biting bugs, but the infestation hasn’t dampened all the love in the air! Maury was seen soaring through the skies with heavy packages, and miracle of miracles only a few head injuries were reported.
 
Lance has been busy stocking his shelves with all sorts of new items for us to swoon over! With Lovebug spray in one hand and the lingering sting from a Cootie Shot still making his arm twinge, the dapper shopkeeper rushed outside to start hauling in his new goods.

After firmly latching the door of Flashy Fashion behind him (and snickering at the constant thuds of a trio of Bumbleluvs attempting entry), Lance went to work. A snarky new shirt was hung up, making him hope that Altered hadn’t given his hordes the gift of literacy yet…

…but Lance was much happier about the romantic curls of the new hairstyles he had to offer. He pondered for a moment about a new style, then caught himself in one of the many mirrors about the shop and laughed off the idea. He looked perfect as is!


After making sure every spirally lock was in place, Lance went about decorating the shop with bright balloons…

…though he did wonder if such a fragile item was wise with Scorts and LuvBirds running amok. The last items Lance decided to put in the windows, just to be sure all the Legendaries saw them as they ran past:


Satisfied, Lance took one sweeping look about his shop and waited for the inevitable droves of customers.

But the oh-so-fashionable Lance isn’t the only one Maury visited! Take a stroll over to the Credit Shop and you’ll find this beautiful new arch for your Legendaries to admire, and a mysterious new egg that was found near Altered’s hiding place:

And while on his travels, Maury reported sightings of cooties and lovebugs that he couldn’t identify. Can you catch these new additions to the swarms?

The Infestation swarms descended upon Mistica as they had every year, sending the entire planet into a protective frenzy. Even the shopkeepers, who were all usually quite keen on profiting from holidays, had sprayed protective barriers of LoveBug Spray around their doors, and everyone had surely gotten their Cootie Shot!

Of course, Feron didn’t have the luxury of solid walls to keep the Cooties and Lovebugs from buzzing all around her and her creations. Scowling at the pink and red critters that now colored the green of Darkwood Hollow, she mumbled under her breath, her branches swatting at anything that came too near her little Foer and Faer helpers.

The worst part? The swarms were all coming from behind her, from the Woods of Ages, and so she was fighting blindly. “That wretched Altered! If I had legs…” Feron’s threats dissolved into furious growls as a cloud of Bumbleluvs shot straight for a crop of Blush Toadstools at her roots, only to scatter as a group of angry Foery shot golden bolts of energy at the irksome bugs.

While Feron sulked in her secluded gardens, Mistica’s shopkeepers were staying busy. With the shops protected from the invasion, it was time to fill up their shelves!

Infestation!

 Yes, it's that time of the year again Mistica and the Cooties and Lovebugs have descended in droves to take over our world!  It's definitely time to take advantage of all this love and care being tossed around as these critters worm their way into every nook and cranny on Mistic. Batten down the hatches and do what you can to protect your pets; unless of course you are looking for a new look?

Lovebugs and Cooties will appear randomly on your pages as you wander through the site and you'll have to jump on them when you see them. Click them quickly to see if you can capture them!

Keep in mind that you could finish the collections and get a medal or two for your troubles!

Might be a good time to activate your champion dust, you'll be able to find more cooties and lovebugs during the infestation period!

Important Note!
If you see a cootie or lovebug, you must click on it straight away, if you are on multiple tabs, it will make the critter more apt to 'run away' than be caught. Don't miss out on them, and stay alert!

Only want one or the other of these critters? Utilize these fixes to get rid of one or the other (or both) of these pesky groups!

These items are in the credit shop, but will also stock as very rare items in Rosebud's Holiday Shop 

If you'd care to reverse the effects at anytime, you can pick up the 'antidotes'.

Cooties and Lovebugs aren't the only thing to collect this year! Take a gander at these new candies that are sweeping the land of Mistica. Search out Boxes which will randomly give you a Candy Heart when opened. Can you collect them all before the celebrations come to an end?  They will appear all over the site in contests, random events and more!

Go visit Rosebud, and click her image in the Holiday Goodies Shop. She's teamed up with Maury to deliver some extra goodies this year! Every hour, you may send up to 3 each hour to friends to help with their collecting*. There are also notes and cards you can choose to send!
