Once more the Hungry Hippalo game ahs returned and it's BETTER than ever before! We've stomped out several bugs, and made the gameplay easier, which will result in more competition!


What a bunch of crybabies! These Hippalos are depending on you to fulfill their wishes and bring them food and occasionally other items to make them happy. And if you help, you will be rewarded!

And while you are feeding, you may occasionally be awarded with MC bonuses! So keep checking back, they get hungry with a WIDE variety of food every 15-25 mins after being fed!

They will also now reset at regular intervals to keep the game board 'fresh'! 

Join in the fun, you'll be competing against your fellow Misticans for top honors each week. You'll have 7 days to feed and contribute to the Hippalo's happiness before the tallies start again. You must feed at least 25 hippalos to place in either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place.

 The top 3 Hippalo samaritans will earn a shiny trophy for your profile, as well as a coveted Hippalo of their very own!

As a site, Misticpets.com sponsors the training of two real life Hero Rats!
Pandoria has been in training all year, learning to be a mine detection rat, and we have Aurelius, who is a bit younger that is learning to detect TB!

When we receive updates from the organization, we share them with everyone, and we've had some great news about Pandoria!


Pandoria has passed the big test and she is now officially an APOPO Mine Detection Rat! 

Pandoria searched eight different 100 square meter areas over the course of two days and found every landmine in each box without making more than two false indications. Like a pro! By passing the final blind test, Pandoria has become internally accredited, which means that she is ready to join her colleagues in Mozambique or Angola and find landmines in real minefields. This does not, however, mean that her training is over. When she gets to the operational site, her training will continue throughout her service as a mine detection rat. Additionally, before she can operate on a real minefield, she must be externally accredited according to the International Mine Action Standards in the country where she will work.We will learn more about her accreditation and ongoing training when she arrives in the operational country.   
We recieved word that Pandoria will be heading to: Maputo, Mozambique!
She is going to be able to do a LOT of good, and we will let you know as soon as we know any more about her extrnal accreditation!

Coding Corner

After meeting with a programmer, we've made the decision to recode the member galleries this weekend. There are only so many times that the older coding can be patched up, and we think this will help our item system immensely!  We thank everyone for their feedback on the gallery issues.

Gallery Categories should be kept, we are recoding the way the site code handles the information but we do NOT anticipate having to scrap current gallery configurations, so please do not worry!
