Max Game Scores have been reduced. We have added multiple quests, extra flash/html5 games and never addressed the high amount of MC. This reduction to 10,000MC per game submission will be but one part of the actions that are being taken. And in other news, Pandoria continues to do SO WELL in training!

Pandoria is making great progress! Now that she knows how to correctly identify TNT by passing all the blind tests, Pandoria will now put on her official harness uniform and walk on soil. Pandoria is being trained to actively search for TNT in a 3 by 6 meter outdoor training floor filled with soil which has perforated stainless steel balls, called tea eggs, containing TNT or other substances. Pandoria’s rat-sized harness attaches to a rope connected to a wheel and axle spanning the soil floor. She walks along the rope searching one lane of the soil floor. After she completes this lane, the wheel is turned forward so that she can turn around and search the next lane for tea eggs containing TNT. 

Early on, the trainer clicks when Pandoria finds a tea egg. The trainer will then start to bury the tea eggs so that Pandoria will learn to scratch over the area. From this step on, the trainer only clicks when Pandoria scratches, which is a good indication response because it is easy to spot. This stage will also prepare Pandoria to walk a greater distance to collect its food reward. In scientific terms, scratching over TNT is considered a “hit,” and scratching over anything else is considered a “false alarm.” Pandoria’s soil floor training will continue until shecan identify all of the TNT tea eggs hidden in the soil and ignore all of the tea eggs that do not contain TNT.

Aibrean frowned at the small pile of books before her. The castle had been going through a deep cleaning and it looked like some of the palace servants had misplaced a few tomes! Now it was nearly the end of the month and Aibrean had only three new releases for her Library.

Better than having them all disappear, Aibrean reasoned. She'd have to find the other books soon...

A small bug has been squashed in the pound, that allowed caribyss and shyre to be abandoned.

A limited number of baby boxes will be available in the credit shop, and those of you that have found them in quests can definitely put them to good use now!


Once upon a time, we had a poll about poppet prices. While having them in quests has not put as many out there as we had hoped, we've come to a different solution.

Spring is well under way, and look at the growth it has brought! Please welcome the Overgrowth Aetra to Mistica!

Congratulations! Pandoria just passed her first blind test.

This blind test, conducted at the end of the scent discrimination training, was the first true measure of Pandoria’s capability since even the trainer did not know which hole contained the TNT. Only the supervisor administering the test knew where the TNT was located. 

It is important to conduct these types of tests under blind conditions so that the trainer cannot inadvertently cue the rat as to the location of the positive sample. Rats are intelligent animals and can sometimes pick up small changes in the behavior of humans to know where the TNT sample may be present. To prevent this possibility, Pandoria’s trainer could not know which samples were positive. When Pandoria paused for five seconds over a hole, her trainer informed the supervisor who then recorded the response and later communicated the test results to the trainer. 

To pass the test, Pandoria had to correctly identify all eight of the eight TNT samples presented and correctly ignore the 22 neutral samples. If only one of the neutral samples was indicated by Pandoria to be TNT, she could still pass the test, but if she missed even one of the TNT samples, she would have failed. Now that Pandoria has demonstrated her expertise in distinguishing the smell of TNT from other scents, she is ready to start working outside of the cage. 

Pandoria put her nose to work and passed with flying colors. Ah, the sweet smell of success! Perhaps you would like to treat Pandoria to a graduation feast of avocados and peanuts? 

Baby Aurelius has news of his own, he opened his eyes for the first time on May 5th! Our new baby boy is growing up!

Maury was flying around this morning, he had a few PillowPals clutched in his talons that he was delivering to a few lucky Misticans. He was near the cliffs of the Metropolis Quarry when ZING!

An errant arrow barely missed him and the pillows were released from his grasp!

The PillowPals rained down upon a camp of training gurahdia as they had been teaching the finer points of archery to their younger members. Immediately, an enormous pillow fight broke out!


How does a pillow fight in Mistica work?
Every hour each member can send out 2 pillows to victims of their choosing, and an additional 2 to random online members!
You can find a Pillow Fight button temporarily on the Games page!
Champions get one extra toss in each area.

Makot's Illicit Gains has been receiving some new stock! Didn't you wonder where all the credit shop items were going?

While we appreciate all the support, it's not practical to keep hundreds of items cash shop only. As we grow and evolve, so will our credit shop offerings. Those items that are missing from the credit shop can be found in Illicit Gains. Stock will vary, and wihile it will cost a bit of MC to get your mitts on them, it's a fair use that will not devalue the items while making them available to the community.

Each month, there will be a champion gift for our supporters with month long champion dusts activated.
