As his his familiar black sails of the Black Pyre fill with wind to carry him out of the harbour, a playful new Aetra has come to play in the wake!


With a last parting gift, we bid adieu to our bold Capt'n and welcome the Oceanic Aetra!

Capt'n Jack visit is nearly at an end. Be sure to visit Skillow Isle as much as ye dare through tomorrow evening to grab treasure for the year. 
Seasonal stock will last several weeks before the storehouses are depleted!

Are ye digging every chance you get? Keep at it, Capt'n Jack has hidden a new treasure to find!


That's not all the treasure he brought, the scallywag Pirate showed a softer side when he went to visit Princess Alana in the Royal Gardens, bringing some new exotic seedlings!

When tended and cared for, you could end up with these blooms!

Capt'n Jack hasn't forgotten about the citizens of the Reef that he helped save last year, and there's a few new items that he's brought for them to stock as well!

Capt'n Jack brought with him all sorts of seasonal goods. Pirate fare, pals, apparel, and more!

This seasonal stock is R8, and you will see them in the shops, stocking in quantities of 3 since they are limited to certain times of the year. This is quite a step so enjoy your restocking!

To go along with the coding update above about Seasonal items stocking, we would also like to post in the news that the payouts for Zokudoku and  Mandoran Memory Match have had their payouts increased! Happy Playing Mistica!

The rascally pirate Capt'n Jack Skillow has returned just in time for talk like a pirate day! HUZZAH!

With his black sails billowing in moonlight, he quickly came ashore not too long ago, but set off rather quickly after a visit with Makoto. What could he be up to, stealing into harbor in the middle of the night?

It looks like he's being super secretive this year, hiding treasure once more upon Skillow Isle, but we have managed a peek at what you are digging for!

Members can dig every 60 mins, while Champs can dig every 30 mins!

Don't forget all the fun in the forums. Whether you intend to join in the fun or not, you'll find that pirates always find a way to gain the upper hand!

With a flourish of her little wrist, Aibrean signed the document in front of her and then set to double checking it. Titles of new books were listed in neat rows and she wanted to be sure everything was in order before going to shelve them all.

The sprite gave her back a stretch and then set to work. Possible quiz questions began running through her mind -- had to keep the Misticans on their toes, after all!

We would also like to bid a sad farewell for the time being to our wonderful Site Manager, RuthieRox.  She will be missed during her time away, but she'll always have a place here in Mistica!

With all the excitement over the Jinx release, of course they brought some mayhem!  Congratulations to Blossom who is our winner for the news comment contest. You will recieve a mail so you can pick your prize!  

We have some changes to the Champion accounts and the site's autopricers that many of you will be excited about!


Champions will see a new exclusive area in the credit shop! Here, you will find limited stock of out of season items like elusive Pandoria Boxes, Poppets, etc!

Champion accounts will now be able to convert up to 25MP each month!

And finally, Autopricers! Normal Champion Dusts will now give out 4 Autopricers upon activation, while Super Champion Pendants will hand out 48! Why this change? Read below! Shops are now able to be priced up to 2.5million in MC as well.

-Use AP to set prices 1 MC point below other member shops
When using the "1 pt below" option, any item not already posted in another members shop, will price at 0, and need to be hand priced.
OR
- Use AP to set items 3x the site shop purchase MC prices
(FIXED!)
When using the 3x shop price option your Auto Pricer will price rarities 1-5 only (Common - Super Rare site shop stock) all other ratings will need to be hand priced.

We hope these changes improve the autopricer function as well as increase the appeal of our Champion accounts. We appreciate all your support as we move forward to some exciting things for Mistica!

The clock has struck the witching hour, and all is still in the land of Mistica. You know what that means?
It's Friday the 13th!
 
Look who has come to join the party! The Overgrown Jinx has been spotted deep within the forests of Darkwood Hollow!
As well as these new items in some shops!

The Baby Jinx Plushie has had a revamp as well!


That's not the only thing lurking in the forests...

Jahzara watched the Jinx child pacing nervously just beyond the reach of her fire’s light. She’d noticed his presence several minutes ago, but had ignored him except to keep track of his movements. He would come forward when he was ready. This particular visitor hardly seemed old enough to have searched out her campsite, buried as it was deep within the Darkwood Hollow. The storyteller went about her nightly routine, setting up her table and crystal ball, settling her chair and a second across from it. One never knew when the curious would seek her out, and it was always better to be prepared to welcome someone. 

The crunching of leaves caught the Cheran’s attention, and she turned to see the child leaving. Apparently, he had lost his nerve. It seemed a shame to allow him to leave without the story he’d searched for. It was not an easy journey to reach this place. “Why have you come?” she demanded of the Jinx, her voice sharp as it broke the silence.

The young one nearly jumped out of his skin, his eyes wide and round as he turned and stepped hesitantly into the firelight. His feathers were just beginning to take on their adult blue hue, for now he retained the black and purple coloring all Jinx were born with. “I want to know about the curse,” he stammered, hesitating to come closer until Jahzara motioned to the empty chair across from her. “My friends’ parents always take them away when they see me playing with them, because of the Jinx curse.”

This made Jahzara frown. “Has no one told you of your ancestry?” she demanded of him, her scowl deepening when he shook his head no. “Very well, then, boy. I will tell you what you wish to know.” As she settled back into her chair, her voice took on the hypnotic quality that it always did when she told her stories.

The Frodrinn, Zokuleon, Aetra, Ahbruis and Eledon now all have updated care books! Facts about their lives in the wild are now published.

In the future, these books will have information about the domestic care of these species. If you read the Frodrinn's book you'll see that it's already complete.

Achryli is getting back into the swing of things, and will be all caught up in the next week or so, but she's proud to present the art gallery pieces for our January, February, and March winners!

If you're curious as to the care of these Misticans in captivity, don't worry; Dr. Erlenmeyer and her researchers are working on it!

Shop stock has been updated. They will now stock accordingly!
R1-2  will stock 3 at a time
R3-4 will stock 2 at a time
R5 will stay at 1

Also, in official shops, items will no longer 'jump' around upon purchase and are alphabetized for convenience. Enjoy!
 
A Small Issue 
It has come to our attention that many members are utilizing other petsite images in areas of the site and we would like to take a moment to remind everyone of one of our rules:

Do not post other pet site images , or links to those images (any place on the Misticpets site, including forums, profiles and signatures).

Zulime has had a change of stock! We are proud to introduce our new species Essences! 

 

These items will change ANY pet into the normal color species of the essence used.  Riverside Cheran will turn into a normal Tarinooki if the Tarinooki Essence is used. These items are available in Zulime's in a range of MC options.

But what about our Poppets?

Poppets will continue to work as we have all come to expect. They will change a species, and keep the Boxed theme or color that they previously had.  However- how you attain these items will now be different.

Poppets will eventually be won in various site activities like fishing, quests, plot prizes etc. When available in the Credit Shop they will be 100MP.


What about our Credit Shop Pets?

The Braenon, Kirui, and Belragoth are all now available for creation through the Create A Pet page, for a cost of 100MP as normal, but you will be able to create them and pick their color like a normal pet creation!

*Their poppets, when stocked in the credit shop moving forward will now be 150MP- as you are able to change an existing themed pet.  


What about LE Pets?
 
The Stignightus, Gurahdi, and Obsideon will also be availble on the Pet Creation page going forward. During times where there are none available for free release, they will be 50MP to create. However, we will still have periodic free releases that you can wait for and create these LE species free of charge!
 
MISC

Kohal Essences are available in Zulime's shop, though priced pretty high during the off season. Remember, you always have the option to wait free creation near Mistmas!

 Jinx Essences will be stocked around Lanturnacht only, and Jinx releases will continue as planned. Friday the 13th, Lanturnacht, and Calendar Blue Moons.
We appreciate all the input and work that went into crafting these changes!
