Spring was in full blossom, colors bright and dazzling wherever one looked. Mistica was more beautiful than ever; Pandoria couldn’t ask for much more. Her shop was surrounded with offered eggs; her stock nearly depleted from eager Misticans as they showered her with gifts and pleasantries. The smile never left her lips.

The egg in her hands pulsated like a little heartbeat, dancing to music all its own. It was only recently that she remembered the events of last year, of the eggs that had multiplied and had gotten out of control. This one…

Pandoria’s smile widened, raising her eyes to the sky. This was her gift to all, both those on Mistica and beyond.

The day was filled with revelry and fun, and Pandoria enjoyed the small gifts and trinkets that her people blessed her with. 

She had her gifts  to give, for the citizens of her world!


And some even have attached avatars!


While Maury released some seasonal stamps in honor of the occasion!

The big reveals happened later in the day, however. Clayton, Erika, and Gordon had worked together to surprise Pandoria with an elegant cake, capturing the new growth of spring and the festive nature of the party!

Though sadness seemed to lurk just beneath the surface, Pandoria did her best to be present and enjoy her Misticans. They brought such joy to the springtime, and to her life. She smiled and made pleasantries, and awaited the perfect moment to reveal her biggest surprise of the day.

This Grace is a special gift, and they will be given out manually over the course of the next week. It will be capped, but to avoid issues as in the past with the random events and such, we will be resurrecting a prior random giveaway method. Several will go out at a time, and an alert will be set to acknowledge the winners. It will span multiple time zones!

The boisterous noise from the egg hunt filled the spring air, giggles and chuckles spilling forth from the happy citizens as they bustled about. The eggs were traded, decorated, and sold, all in the name of Ostara and the birthday of their Goddess Pandoria. Shut away in her home; the Goddess ignored it all. Many took notice of her absence, and a few braved a walk to her humble home and knocked on the door. There never was an answer no matter how long they dared to wait.

Sunlight streamed through her partially closed window, shining its light upon something she had clasped in her hands. A blue aura moved around the object in her hands, fading it and out of view.


Pandoria’s eyes rested not on her hands, but on the bust of Ansidoria that was carefully set upon a small end table across from her. Her eyes traced the detailed carving, memories trailing back to all those many years ago. Why was it today that her usual cheerful disposition trailed into bittersweet melancholy?

"Birthdays are not the same if you cannot spend them with those who should be close," she whispered softly, not to herself or the egg, but to the bust, wishing it would reach the absent sister. If only things had been different...

Pandoria cradled the egg in her hands, before carefully placing it in front of the bust. Her feelings would have to wait. She had ignored enough curious visitors already, and she feared outside interference leading to unnecessary explanations if their worry became strong enough to peer in the windows.

With one last sigh, Pandoria turned to face the door, putting on her best faux smile. They may not be Ansidoria, but her people truly did care, and they deserved acknowledgement for worrying about her.

Ignoring that itching feeling to take a last glance at the bust, Pandoria made ready for bed, ready for the dawn and her birthday to come.

In Rordon Village, the signs of whacking and hissing came to a close... the znakes frenzied migration had come to an end. For the rest of the year, there would only be rare sightings of these creatures and peace could descend upon Mistica.

One spring day, as the Skillows flew through the wind and the Braenons played tag and enjoyed the warmth that invaded the land as winter retreated, a wise old phelocan surveyed the frolicking antics of youth with a smile hidden behind a gruff demeanor.

Years had passed as time overtook her. Years filled with countless dreams, some forgotten and faded; And others brought to vivid reality, shaping the tapestry of a well-lived life. Watching the new growth of spring break free from the grips of winter, she recalled with fondness the springtime of her youth. She had been proud, without the ensuing years to temper her willful nature. With a wistful smile, she turned away, a sigh overtaking her entire stance as she spied a glimpse of a forgotten trail that looked as forgotten as she felt.

She still retained a small bit of inquisitiveness, and she determinedly kept to the ground and followed the trail as she allowed the mystery to overtake her thoughts. What would she find at the end of the track? What treasure, or lost hideaway could be at the end of this forgotten path? Who else had traversed this route, anticipation quickening each step, and resolution racing them to the finish?

A small clearing came into view, and she stopped in her tracks. A mysterious orb sat there as if placed for her to find. She approached the lovely globe, and as she reached a wing out to softly trace the gorgeous feathers and a light engulfed her.

She came back to her senses, and a feeling of contentment came over her. She raised one jeweled wing to her face and marveled at the colors that now shimmered in the light that filtered through the trees. Spreading her wings wide, she turned in amazement as her bones no longer ached with the failings of age. Racing back down the path, she leapt into the sky, ready to celebrate spring and take every advantage and opportunity that awaited her in this new lease on life.

Once upon a time you'd attempt to 'stick' rotting fish on your friends and family on April 1st. Generally, it has evolved to involve PAPER fish, instead of rotting fish. (thank Pandoria!)
