Midshipman says Midshipman had turned when she brushed against him but missed an opportunity to look at her and leave him wondering how she dealt with her electrode when she dove into the water. The water waved out from where she dove into the water. He brightened his photic discs a little more to attract some attention from the larger game and dove down after her; granted his ischium backlit her backside as he dove after her and he thought the appearance made her look rather attractive. He admired her all the way down to the bottom as she started sifting the substrate for her clams. It was then that he veered off and began using his lights to attract predators into the shadows near the rocks. Breakfast was rather quiet. There wasn't a single carabryss or other major threat to them as they resurfaced in the pool they dove into. He had managed to save two cave fish he headed for her. He didn't give her a chance to speak when she surfaced. He wrapped his flippers high over her shoulders and plopped the two fish between their barrels. "Here you are. I had fish aplenty so I figure these will be a little more enjoyable for you than just clams." He offered. |
Midshipman says Midshipman moved ahead, pausing only long enough to look back and see that she didn't seem to visibly respond to his comment. He reached the edge of drop and turned back. "Here we are Brys." He slapped the edge then dove back into the cold water without a thought of the temperature. He cleared away from the dive, surfaced and exhaled so Bryssia could hear where he was at. "Come on it, the water is great as always!" |
Midshipman says He turned and looked at Bryssia as she approached and listened to her speech as did Erick who happened to blink at each of them before replying. "Perhaps miss, but I know a certain cow that said the very same thing about us when she followed me across the frozen tundra, then into the ice fields and eventually left her herd behind to be my... friend." Anne was quick to smile at her mate and cushion the embarassment that might have on Bryssia. "Oh Erick, you hush! If they are friends, then believe them that they are friends. If there is anything more there it will come along in it's own time." "Bu-bye starnge cow and bull!" Eadrid exclaimed as he waved his little trunk at the two risylkie returning to the cave pool they came out of. "Farewell friends." Erick followed up with. Midshipman followed up after Bryssia, who seemed to know her way back fairly well. He picked up a little speed to pass her up and as he got close to her he couldn't help chatting with her. "If they are magical, shiny gems, I hope they sparkle as pretty as your eyes and nodes do. It'll make them so much easier to gaze upon." |
Midshipman says He turned his head slightly with curiosity. Her words sounded genuine to her state of uncertainty with what had gone on between them during the love bug incident. But then she called him that pet name again and she had begun whispering again once she was aware of the eledon's in the room again. Such was the wonderful mysteries of an adventure, never quite the same thing twice! "I'm very glad to know that's the way you feel." he replied with a warm smile that she could hear in his voice and feel as he brushed his muzzle against hers. He started dimming his photic discs at the same time to encourage everyone to get some shuteye, then he answered her other question in a whisper so as not to distrub their hosts. "Some funny looking fondren that was just perching in the ceiling dropped it on us, then it flew off! I guess he had enough laughs at our antics with the love bugs." He lay down and curled himself up next to her so the eledon parents wouldn't be concerned about their proximity to one another and their fondness for each other, compromise their privacy. "Up and at'em sleepyhead!" Midshipman stated to Bryssia as he slowly increased the light from his photic discs. "Time for us to go grab some brekkist and be on our way." He then turned to Erick while Bryssia was rousing herself and stretching. "I hope it's no imposition to ask, but would you mind terribly my asking where your cave leads out to?" The massive bull eledon simple looked at him, though Midshipman couldn't discern Erick's facial features as to how private the question maybe. "It leads into the hot springs and the caverns of King Blythe. Where else do you think they would go? You wouldn't be looking for that treasure that folks speak about that's supposedly hidden 'neath the ice, would ye? I'll save you and your mate a lot of trouble and tell you know it's just a myth, just like the seven mystic hot springs of Banshee Swamp. "No, nothing like that. We're just exploring really. Besides, who would want to hide chests full of fish down here anyway? They would get so stinky and dry sitting in some old box." Erick and his mate looked at him quizzically. Then Erick replied, "I always thought it was full of peanuts, bananas and a never ending salt brick?" The two very different bulls looked at one another, then burst out laughing. It was a very contagious bout of laughter. And when it was over Midshipman replied through short gulps of air. "I guess everybody's idea of treasure is different." |
Midshipman says he was surprised about how willing she was to take some full on sugar from him. It only made him feel that the love sickness was something more hazardous than he first suspected his mum always told him. That said, he kind of liked the feel of her first accepting his tongue then fighting to push it out all the while he was trying to deliver enough candy to break the spell. He hadn't noticed Eldred's outburst at the seeming kiss, but he sure noticed when she tried pulling away from him. He looked at her as she spoke to him, he felt it must have worked since she hadn't remembered why they were smooching. "I was giving you the cure for your lovebug bite."He told her. "But now that we have this pouch of candy, we have enough here to get a good night's sleep and everybody can have some so we don't have to worry about being infested overnight." "That's not a half bad idea. Are you sure you weren't an eledon in another life?" Erick replied before moving over to his family and making himself comfortable beside them. Midshipman returned to facing Bryssia after he faced Erick to respect his reply. "So, can we cozy up and get some sleep, or has my herring breath permanently scarred you from pleasing me with your company?." |
Midshipman says Midshipman smirked at Fasha's impropriety. They did not know one another well enough for him to be so informal. Besides, that nickname was only for the cows in his life! He wanted to tell him what for up until he planted the bag of candy on his nose and Midshipman instinctively began balancing the bag. He could feel the hard confections in the bottom of the bag. "They are heart candies." Midshipman told the others. He dropped the candies onto his shoulder and let the bag slide down into his flipper. "Thumbs could really be useful at a moment like this." Then he remembered their hosts and was about to comment when he noticed Erick's trunk and was about to ask for his help. "Oh no, Midshipman. You'll have to do this part yourself." "Dear, he isn't suggesting that you pick the candies, is he? That could be disastrous. You must get them yourself Mid, no matter how you must do it." Midshipman couldn't help but blush, because there was only one way he could get down into the bag and get her the candy she needed. "Bryss, if you trust me, then open your mouth and get ready to take your medicine." He rummaged the bag open with his muzzle until he tipped over the candy onto the stone floor, then to be certain, he pressed his tongue over the candy and got a few of them to stick. Then he stuck his tongue into her mouth and began rolling his tongue with her's in order to unstick them from his tongue and into her mouth. Eadrid buried his face in his mother's chest when Midhipman placed his tongue in Bryssia's mouth. "Ewwwwww." |
Midshipman says Midshipman had a little trouble breathing through his nose while Bryssia was cleaning his nose. He did feel like a pup getting his nose cleaned by his mum or the cow caring for him. Occasionally she had kissed and licked his mouth in her attempts at forgiveness and caring responsibly for it. But he didn't mind at all. "I'll be fine Bryss. There hasn't been any real harm done. It was just a moment of misfortune that every great adventure should have." As she got close to whisper, he pecked her on the side of her muzzle to let her know there wasn't any harm. They were all startled by the sudden voice from above and everyone instinctively looked toward the voice. |
Midshipman says The bull eledon, Erick, deftly moved his thick leg before Bryssia could pinpoint it for her bite. "I hurt naught. You'll see that your bull is none the worse for wear or anything else you have in mind to do with him." "Now Erick, mind your manners. This may very well be her first Infestation." Midshipman wasn't helpless, but he was taken aback by the care Bryssia was showing him. She had masterfully plied her head between his flippers and applied her tongue, lips and mouth all over his muzzle to help his hurt. For Midshipman the hurt was only a mild nuisance, though his flippers were now wrapped about her head and it looked rather a lot like they were making out. "Look Momma, they are kissing again! Eewww!" (For the record, the Three Eledons are names now. Eick, Anne, and Eadrid) Midshipman was very aware of Bryssia's carefully planned movements and although he was worried about her 'lovesick' condition. He couldn't help but enjoying all of the attention she was paying him, even more than before they had started the adventure. He sighed in a happy sounding way, alas he knew that once she was cured he would likely realize that her desire was only a symptom of infestation. Erick was about to pick up Bryssia by the flukes when Midshipman held a flipper up to wave him off. |
