Disguise says *the scent of blood faded quickly despite the fact that the amount of it didn't seem to change, the coyote still seeming relatively unfazed by the crimson coming from his paws. His tails also slowly began to become stained with the color, swishing still in happiness despite that fact.* "Huh? Oh, well, kinda. Not really though. It's just walking in this world that causes it. Sprits aren't made to endure walking on the living earth." *he shrugged, not seeming to think it required any more of an explanation then that as he pricked his ears upward toward her as she began to speak, his face growing more serious and he twitched his nose a little as if he were sniffing the air to smell her words. There was nothing but truth in them, but he didn't stare at her the entire time and instead just leapt over top of the fallen branch and continued away from the middle of the forest. The mist seemed to be getting lighter, and the scent of the earth grew thinner as well* "One of life's greatest injustices is that we don't get to choose our relatives, or our parents for that matter." *he replied swiftly, pricking his ears toward her again as his softly glowing green eyes held her gaze steadily from behind the half mask over his canine face* "But just because you're related to them doesn't mean that you'll follow in their footsteps. Still, running away from their influence might not be a bad thing. I mean, yea they're your parents but that doesn't matter and that's not why I'm telling you that fresh air might not hurt. Evil might not be heritable, but it's very influential. You are the company you keep, generally." *he huffed a little in content, seeming happy enough with what he said before he ran forward a few paces and sat down several yards in front of her as she continued walking, early morning sun beginning to find its way to filter down through the trees in rays of golden light. The lantern he'd been holding in his jaws before materialized before him once more, right between his bloody front paws, and pulsed with orange light. He tilted his head back and howled, a faint golden mist lifting itself from between the half-unicorn's shoulder blades and twisting toward him as he stood and wagged his tails, allowing his tongue to loll out in a pant as he watched it twist and curl into the lantern he held, making it flash brighter for a split second before returning to normal* "Secrets are bred from fear, so they're heavy. That's why it's easier to let someone else carry them." *he said simply, allowing the lantern to disappear once more in a curl of black mist*

Disguise says (( Ugh I'm so sorry I disappeared for a while. lD School decided to throw a bunch of homework my way I wasn't expecting, but I'll try to be better about replying! )) *the coyote bounded through the mist and fog with a strange sense of excitement, his mouth parted and his tongue lolling out in happy pants as he just enjoyed the feeling that the real world had. He could feel the grass beneath his paws, the condensation on his fur, and the chill that tried to sink into his somewhat-existent form. It was a real treat, considering that he felt absolute nothingness when tromping through the spirit realm. All the same, his origins were sharply given away by the blood that started to stain his paws from walking in the mortal realm, cutting him with each step but the pain was also a welcome thing despite the blood it left behind--it was something he could feel, so even the sharp sting was better than the numbness of death. His ears flattened against his skull a the snap of the twig, though, and he actually jumped a little with his fur bristling in surprise before he slowed his pace a little to walk beside her, ears pricking up as he tilted his head slightly and closed his mouth, one side of his upper lip trapped beneath his lower canine* "Dragons are hotheaded, pun intended~" *he finally chuckled, letting his tongue loll out again as he continued forward and wagged his tails at the idea of learning a new secret, not bothering to hide any of his emotions. He was a pretty open book about his own self. His shimmering orange eyes turned up to hold her gaze then as they moved through the misty essence, his lips curling back in that sort of attempt at a smile again* "Of course! I'm the spirit of secrets, after all~ You must have quite a few of them if they sent me here to find you instead of someone more practical!" *a yip escaped him, though, as he stepped on something unusually sharp and backpedaled away from it, jumping forward a little awkwardly and holding up one of his front legs for a moment while the blood he left behind turned into red mist that dissipated into the rest of it. Soon enough the bleeding returned to the normal amount and he started to walk on it again, not seeming overly bothered by the momentary inconvenience*

Disguise says *the trickster spirit laughed and pranced forward as she followed him, heading in no particular direction except away from the energies that he felt coming from the light fog of the morning. His ears pricked upwards as he listened, seeming only half interested in her words and giving a slight shrug of his shoulders as he paused and waited for her to catch up* Dragons aren't bad. Well, some are bad, and some are good, but that's any species really. It just depends on your attitude and which one you happen to run into. *he snickered and glanced back at her, eyeing the tiny wings before huffing and continuing in his random direction* Maybe there are unseen advantages.

Disguise says *if the sarcasm was meant to poke at the strange spirit a little, it certainly seemed to do the opposite. With another broad grin and a wag of his tails he bolted toward her and slid beneath the equine, the coyote belly down and crouching beneath her so that he looked directly up at her face from between her front legs, ears pricked upwards and tongue lolling for a moment before he spoke* Delightful! I've never been here either, so we have something in common! *with a laugh he leapt forward and turned to face her again, crouching in an almost playful way with his tails up and behind him, ears still pricked and his misty mane curling back away from him with all the movement* Such a wonder to meet you, Thestral. Perhaps we should go somewhere more familiar? Surely I'm not the worst spirits that can find this lovely little loophole~ *he turned and started to prance forward, seeming overly excited before calming himself slightly, the mask on his face shifting and turning into something more spiked and deep blue, black and white feathers flying back from it where gold ones previously were. The colors of his coat shifted to glow a neon blue, his eyes reflecting that hue as he glanced back to see if she was following, his demeanor completely different* Quickly now, I'm afraid I wasn't entirely joking. There are dangers beyond the fog, even for a being as powerful as yourself. You are a unicorn, correct? Crossed with perhaps a dragon? There are few and far between, but you are not the first I've had the pleasure of meeting.

Disguise says (( Sorry this took so long to reply! I thought it was your turn for some reason lol. xD )) *the eerie creature simply tilted his head and watched her reactions, though his ears did flick back in slight irritation when she continued to go on about not understanding where, what, who, or whatever the heck she was. Or was talking about...meh. He didn't really know anymore* Oh shh. *he finally snapped, somewhat in the middle of her final sentence before he stood up and lifted his head to be as high up as it could be to try and get his fiery orange gaze even with hers. His lips curled back to reveal a fanged grin and his three tails continued to wag behind him in excitement* You're confusing a soul for a spirit, my dear, though neither of those things really have anything to do with how your earthly body feels. *he snickered a little before flicking his tongue out to lick his lips before flicking a single ear foward and tilting his head the opposite direction as it had been before* I'm a spirit, and I'm quite interested in you and your secrets. You hold so many that it practically makes you glow! *his grin suddenly dropped away and all of his tails stopped their wagging, the coyote standing up slowly and walking a short distance away from her, starting his pacing again* To my eyes, anyway...ah, that reminds me! I guess i never really introduced myself. *he stopped and whipped around to face her again, ears pricking upwards while he barked out a laugh* They call me Disguise--that's as close to a name as you'll get, darlin'.

Disguise says *he kept sitting completely still while she spoke and only flicked an ear by the time she was finished to show that he was listening. Standing up slowly, he stretched and extended his paws outward, a yawn gracing his muzzle with a whine before he shook his fur off and trotted over toward her to walk around her in circles. His tail morphed and split into three, all of them wagging in unison as he pranced around the strange creature, seeming to take notes* I don't mean that you're physically lost, but you're mentally lost. Spiritually. Your spirit is lost. Gone! Poof... *he stopped in front of her, lifting his nose up to sniff the air before laughing in a very strange manner* Did you know, not-unicorn, that when it is foggy spirits are able to traverse the distance between this realm and theirs? *he flashed a fanged grin then, wagging his three tails before tilting his head* Why then, would a spirit be drawn to you? *his eyes widened in mock fear, gasping theatrically as his ears flattened back* What did you do, not-unicorn?

Disguise says *it wasn't long before his silent pawsteps lead him through the misty forest and toward what appeared to be some sort of equine creature in the distance. His eyes had no trouble seeing distances in the fog, and he had little doubt that this was what had brought him here. Well...perhaps. At least it was a start. With a few graceful bounds he leapt over a fallen tree to land a few yards away from the other, his misty mane curling back away from him because of the momentum he had. His emerald gaze held hers, though he did make mental note of the creature's strange appearance--she wasn't quite a unicorn. Slowly, he placed the glowing lantern down on the ground and sat down, tail wagging a little in excitement as it disappeared in a plume of green essence that formed a skull* Hello. You seem lost. *he spoke, his voice calm and slightly giddy, a strange grin falling across his wolven face as he tilted his head* Correction, I think you are lost. You're not a spirit are you? I don't think so, but then why are you so close to the spirit realm?

Disguise says *the ground was damp and covered with freshly fallen leaves, the smell of wet soil filling the air as mist wafted through the forest. These days and places were among his favorites, since they called to the most primitive, terrifying, and spirited side of himself--there was nothing quite like the thrill of Hallow's eve or the fright of a scary story around a campfire in the crisp autumn. The mist also seemed to be his best friend, shrouding his entrance with white while his own black smoke curled around his form and allowed him to step seamlessly from one realm to the next. The coyote sported long hair, thick and black with bone-like markings all across his form. A mane of black smoke curled up in the air and never seemed to stop moving while he gracefully ran through the trees. His eyes were pupil-less and shimmering gold, blood staining the leaves where his paws fell. In his jaws he clasped a lantern firmly, holes in it's ebony sides releasing an eerie green light. An elegant mask also adorned half of his face, golden feathers curling back and shimmering in the lowlight of dawn* It's so quiet here... *he thought to himself, ears pricked and waiting for someone, something, anything, to move. He was never summoned somewhere for nothing*
