Description: Vermilion Bird: Brilliant red body that fades to orange, then to yellow at the wing tips and tail, two wings that are usually covered in fire (fire is gold/red in color), black eye markings, long flowing crest on her head that is made up of several feathers, orange yellow to black feet and beak, grey-black talons, tail is long and flowing and is covered in a gold/red fire, gold-branded black chains circling around her wings, torso and neck, red eyes with yellow flakes
Human Disguise: Tattoos of gold branded black chains circling around her torso, arms, and neck, long thigh length crimson, orange and yellow hair, red eyes with yellow flakes, tan skin. Due to her element, her skin is hot to the touch, so much so that she could give others third degree burns if one does not remove their hand quick enough. However, she does have control over the temperature of her skin. If angered, her skin will start to smoke and the air around her would start to shimmer with intense heat.
Personality: Does have a fiery temper if crossed, protective, has a hard time trusting others due to being turned on by the inhabitants of the world,
History: In the beginning, the four Guardians were given the duty to watch over the evolving humans and other creatures on the planet and guide them whenever they felt lost. Grateful for their assistance, the people of the world built temples in their honor in specific parts of the world and a central temple for the great Yellow Dragon that they saw as a protector of the world. As time went on, the Guardians guided them less and less as they continued to evolve. They eventually withdrew to their temples and more importantly, their Guardian gates that they had opened up there. They would only come out when needed and if they did, it was to protect the people of the planet from threats that came from outer space as Yellow Dragon or specific natural disasters.
However, unknown to them, the people of the planet were starting to go down a dark path which they didn't see coming. Greed and selfishness were beginning to take form in the hearts of the people, thinking that they shouldn't have to rely on these guardians anymore. If they could take their powers, they could defend themselves and prove to the gods above that they didn't need their pity anymore.
They Guardians were tricked into letting their guard down and were bound in specialized chains that limit their power in an attempt to control their powers when they had fused to form Yellow Dragon in order to protect the world from an artificially created disaster that they people made to draw them out. This caused Yellow Dragon to separate into the four Symbols again with all four being bound in chains. The four were quick to withdraw to their specific temples across the globe, destruction following after them, however, the people had managed to absorb a bit of the four guardian's powers into glowing orbs. Floods swallowed the North, wildfires burned across the South, hurricanes and tornadoes ravaged the East and a plane of metallic spears and pillars punctured the West. With what the limited elemental energy they could produce, they blocked off access to their temples and the surrounding areas. Furthermore, they surrounded the gates and the temples with physical manifestations of their powers, (Ex. Flaming walls around the South temple) and this is how it remained for a couple hundred years. It was said that every person who had gone in search of the temples in search of power or even to try and restore order were never seen or heard of again.
The Orbs of Power, as they were now called, had been split up among the top ruling nations in the North, South, East and West, providing them with those specific elements. However, as they were passed down over the years, the Orbs were stolen and disappeared, leading to wars that ravaged the earth.
Abilities:
Fire - Being a Phoenix, her power over fire is immense, however, due to the flame-resistant chains that crisscross her form, her power is severely limited.
Flight -
Celestial Crossing - They use the gates that they guard to travel back and forth between the Celestial Realm and the Mortal Realm and even use these to travel to the other four temples if needed. The four make their home within the 'streams' that connect the mortal world to the Celestial Realm. They will only come out of the stream if they are summoned by their title, if there is a massive amount of turmoil in the world or if there is any immediate threat made to their gate. If the gate is in any way disturbed or 'cracked', this will have an immediate effect on the guardian.
"Energy" Balls -
Invisibility - Each Guardian has the ability to turn invisible to all those around them (excluding certain beings who have the ability to see through this disguise) and walk unseen.
Healing Tears: Like all Phoenix's she has the ability to heal others through her tears. However, due to her powers being limited because of the chains, the tears can only heal non-life threatening injuries. At their full power, they use to heal almost all ailments and injuries on any living creature.
Weaknesses:
Guardian Gate to the Celestial Realm - Phoenix is linked to the gate in numerous ways. If the gate is closed, the guardian acts as a key to open it. The Guardian and their gate are also tied together, so their gate is pretty much their lifeline as if it's destroyed, then they will cease to exist. But if the gate is restored, they will also be restored, but that would take a lot of energy to do so.
Chains - The chains that bind her body in either form limits her power. Though, if these chains are broken on all four beings and their full power is restored when they absorb the orbs, the four will come together and merge to form the Yellow Dragon of the Center and restore the damage to the world (and if need be, reset it). If she tries to attempt to surpass the limit of her power in either form, especially in her human form, the chains (which in her human form takes the form of chain tattoos) will constrict around her and zap/drain her strength, rendering her paralyzed as she slowly regains her energy.
Water/Cold Temperature/Ice - As she is a being of fire, is it only natural for her to fear water and the cold, as that can douse her flames and turn them into steam, especially since she can never be a full power because of the chains.
