Hiding in the shadows... Silent as the grave... Agile as a feline... You won't see me coming.

All the world is a stage, and the stage is my world. But in not the spotlight, you see. I'll be the one running the light.
I call the show. I build the set. I hand make the props and keep track of every last one.
It's a thankless job... or so they say. But if the business is truly for you, you know that "thanks" is the roaring sound of applause. It's when the count is a full house for the fourth night in a row. It's the look the actor gives you when you are there ready with their prop. It's when the director and stage manager have no notes for you that night.
It's a calling you can truly take pride in. Your job is to make the one on stage look good, to make their job of portraying a difficult story to the masses easier. Yet there is so much room for true creative expression. Why else does Romeo and Juliet look and feel so different each time you see it? I get to help fantastic stories come to life and build magnificent structures in a time frame that would make your head spin. I understand the difference between sunlight and starlight, and how to make them appear in a blackened space. I can craft Glinda's wand, or hand-carve Creon's throne.
