Temperance was you ordinary girl at one point in time, having a full life ahead of here where possibilities lay endless. This perhaps, was her first, and greatest tragedy.
Before long, about the time one hits a point in their life where they must go through a relatively easy, in retrospective, time in their lives, Temperance entered a place called "high school". She wasn't hated, nor overly loved, but she was indeed ignored. Even the rumored bullying of the underclassmen went right by her, always having looked a bit older than what she really was. In the end, being the shy and non-social butterfly that she was, this lead her to have a quite lonely lifestyle.
After a few years of this, and nearing the end, she was beginning to feel the pain of loneliness and the desire to be around someone constantly. Although she tried to speak with others, the fear gripped her like a vice and kept her from interacting and gaining that friendship that would drive away the sorrow and pain. This pain, although easily dismissed by those around her, wasn't overlooked by some darker forces.
On a hollow's eve that year, she was approached by a man in black, wearing a smirk that hid many lies and secrets. He offered her the chance to never be lonely again; to have that confidence to speak with others and be friendly. The price; she would simply have to write tragedies for a living. Perhaps she didn't understand the consequence, or maybe she was that tired of being alone; whatever the case, she accepted the terms, written on a old parchment paper. After that, she became what is often mistaken to be a harbinger of death. With every encounter she makes, a tragedy is written, not always about whom she encounters, but of the most dreadful and insufferable sort. These are reflected in the songs she writes, and often, she doesn't realize of whom it's written about until after she's finished the last note.
Because she so often wrote about her new friends, and the suffering they would partake in, she decided to isolate herself from people once more. Only when necessary, or when that morbid artistic urge set in would she write those tragic songs. Though she is still lonely and desires the company of others, she doesn't want to put anyone in danger, and there in, keeps to herself, writing tragedies in hopes that people will find entertainment in their sorrow and forgive her for causing such.
