A snow white pup, lay curled against a ice cold wall with a steel collar around his neck. It was tight and heavy, a chain attached from it to the wall. It prevented him from moving very far. His mother and father were taken three days ago, leaving him alone with his siblings. They were cold, hungry and unable to get close enough to each other for warmth. Tadi, I'm scared. Where is momma and papa? He looked at his sister, her light brown fur was so dirty and matted that is was hard to tell her true color. He stretched out his paw as far as he could to her. Don't fret, sis, I'll take care of you. Their paws barely touched when the door bust open and three kohals came in. They snatched up his sister and other siblings. Tadi! They cried out in fear. Little Tadi jumped up, straining against the chain, barking and growling only to be smacked down and laughed at. The queen has special plans for you!

A yearling Tadi frantically dug at the dungeon floor. He had broken through the ice and was clawing his way through the cold ground. His siblings were no longer around. Like his mother and father, they never came back. He was alone, scarred and in pain. The queen had been running tests on him. Harsh, cruel tests. For some unknown reason he was strong and survived it all. This latest test had given him strong, long claws that allowed him to break through the ice. He guessed that she didn't realize that it would help him break out.
