If you were to carefully carve a man from a tree, you would get something like Sylvan. Often if he stands still enough you can't discern his odd, mottled brownish-green skin from the forest he abides in. Extremely tall, his build is whip-slender, but his strength is apparent in muscles and broad shoulders. He has somewhat weirdly long limbs and an eye-wrenching way of moving, quick and almost weightless, as if the ground and trees give way to him. His deep brown hair is kept short, with barely a side-swept fringe over stunningly bright golden eyes.
Those who have met Sylvan briefly would probably describe a very quiet man, slow to speak if he chooses to speak at all, with a deep, gravelly sort of voice. Some think he's stupid, but truly, Sylvan is one to weigh every word carefully, and only speak the ones worth speaking. He will flat out refuse to so much as acknowledge someone not worth his time. Arrogant, yes, but the attitude has served him well, and Sylvan prefers solitude, so running someone off doesn't concern him much. Slow to anger, he is as immovable as a rock, but once his temper flares it takes a very long time to go cold again. He can hold a grudge exceedingly well and his memory is long.
Sylvan is, unsurprisingly, attuned to the natural environment. He can manipulate the earth at will -- trees, dirt, rocks, vines, anything that occurs naturally and is close enough. His eyesight is superb; he can see the tiniest veins in a leaf feet away. Lastly, he can heal, although this isn't his greatest strength.
