Stanley Tribble
Of
Orangton Grove, Evertree
Also known as S.T.O.O.G.E!
In the great Evertree was born a Panju and his name was Stanley Tribble.
Stanley lives in a small Glory of Panjin in the Grove of Orangton.
He was always told the forest floor was dangerous and to remain in the branches of the trees. But Stanley got tired of merely sun-browsing and hunting dreams to eat. He wanted more...so one day he did the unthinkable and climbed down to the bottom of the trees and onto the dark forest floor.
The forest floor was so different and much more exciting than he thought it would be and his curiosity grew but also an odd feeling. The feeling of being free? Before he could change his mind and go back to the top of the tree, he quickly took off running, through the forest until he was completely lost.
Eventually he got tired and cold, he was so far away from the sun and it was a long time since he sun-bathed. He also noticed how dark it was and his wings where losing light. Perhaps a little food would make him warmer but when he caught site of a dream, he could not catch it. The dream just drifted closer to the tree tops, even when Stanley went after the dreams it was usually too late.
Without dreams to eat the only other things to eat where ghosts, spirits, and other such kin but unlike dreams, these could fight back and hunting calls don't work. So he had to either fight them or find another way to catch them.
Stanley didn't have much strength to fight a ghost so he wondered if he could scare a ghost, causing it to freeze with fear enough to eat it.
He tried jumping out and screaming, dressing up as something they feared, or making scary sounds and shaking branches but most of these all ended up as failures.
What he found that worked the best was taking a pumpkin from a near by my farm, carving it to look like a face and placing it over his head. Then he would sit in one spot, usually a spot ghost frequently went. When one came close he would jump up and chase the ghost until it collapsed.
He learned this trick after seeing tiny moth like bugs, holding up little pumpkin masks of their own, flying around the pumpkin patch. You will find these moths often flying around him during his hunt.
