A gust of wind woke up Sandalio (Spiffy) abruptly and he jumped off his bed of lambskin. Even though he was just a pup, Sandalio was rather handsome for his age. He had a short but powerful snout with teeth as white as snow and a nose, black as ebony. White fur covered his body and a slightly thicker golden brown mane covered his head and neck. Sandalio was well fit with intricate markings on either side of his body. His tail was the same golden brown as his mane, and he was often wagging it feircly. He had large ears and the right one flopped over and bounced when he ran. But what really pulled Sandalio's look together were his eyes. Most Ahbrius's eyes were grey and dull, but his eyes were a light violet color with golden specks in the middle that shown brightly. His eyes showed off his innocence as a pup, and were the envy of the whole Pride (a Pride is an Ahbrius pack).

The cave was chilly and dripped melted ice, but he had been waiting for this day for awhile. He peeked outside his cave couridors and saw the Pride preparing for the big hunt. Sandalio began to wag his tail fiercly, as he does when he's excited for something. He ran to his parents, who were sprawled across their own lambskin, resting for the hunt, and slipped on the cave floor, but he brushed it off his shoulder. Sandalio's mother, Lakota, was a small Ahbrius with soft, stunning, and admirable features. Her eyes were a crystal blue that could intoxicate anyone that looked into them. She had thin white fur and a silver grey mane, not much thicker. Despite her petite size, Lakota was an amazing hunter. She could sense her prey from miles away. Much to Sandalio's pleasure, he inherited this admirable trait. Lakota was by far the most giving Ahbrius in the Pride, and she would do anything for her family and anyone in need. She was admired and envied by the entire Ahbrius communtiy.

On the other hand, Raksha, Sandalio's father, was a large, powerful Ahbrius. He had sharp features, but didn't look unapproachable. He had thick light brown fur all across his body and an even thicker golden mane that was envied by many. Raksha's eyes were a blue green color, and they would change, depending on his mood. When he was happy, they were lighter, when he was mad, they were dark, and when he was sad, they were almost grey, like most Ahbrius eyes. Being an Alpha, Raksha was also a great hunter, but didn't have the true hunting quality like Lakota. Sandalio barked loudly in his father's ear, and his Raksha's big paw covered his eyes, wishing Sandalio to leave him alone. But, Sandalio wouldn't give up so easily. He grabbed Raksha's ear with his snout and playfully growled. A hint of a mischevious smile appeared on Raksha's mouth. He jumped up playfully, and tackled his son, his eyes shining brightly. It was odd how everyone in Sandalio's family had unique, beautiful eyes, but none of the other Ahbrius did. Sandalio broke free of his father's grasp and jumped from side to side, wagging his tail happily. Raksha ran towards his son, ready to attack, but slipped on a fallen peice of ice. Raksha laughed and wobbly stood on all fours.

Ending the game, Raksha said,"Sandalio, wake up your mother and I'll meet you two at the mouth of the cave." Not wanting to stop playing, Sandalio whined. "No, Son. We have to conserve our energy for the big hunt. You are lucky to be going." Sandalio knew that was true. None of the pups get to go on the hunt, but Tamaska, the wisest Alpha Ahbrius, said that Sandalio was to join the next hunt. This was because the Cilindrare family (Sandalio's family) are Alphas. Also, Tamaska said it was also to honor the great hunting skills of both his parents. He nodded. "Okay." Raksha ran out of their couriders, careful to avoid a patch of ice, and joined the other Ahbrius that prepared themselves.

Sandalio pawed his mother's nose and playfully grabbed her ear. Lakota slowly lifted her crystal blue eyes and let out a huge yawn. She stretched like a dog by bending her hind legs and straightening her front. "Thank you for waking me, Sandalio," Lakota smiled. Her smile seemed to lighten up the entire cave. Lakota and Sandalio walked outside their cave couriders to see Ahbrius preparing for the hunt by wearing cariboo skins to keep from the cold and by getting into formation. Mother Ahbrius took their pups to the Beta Ahbrius. The lowest ranking of the Ahbrius are the Beta. They are not allowed to go on the hunt. Instead, they watch the pups and do chores. The middle class and most common Ahbrius are the Omega. While they are allowed to go on the hunt, they do not rank as high as the Alpha, which is where the Cilindrare family falls. The Alpha are the rulers of the Pride, and everyone must obey them.

All the Ahbrius went into hunting position by forming a line, ten in each row. Lakota and Sandalio made their way to the front with the other Alphas. Once everyone was lined up and prepared to start the hunt, Raksha tilted his big head back and howled to the ceiling. His howl bounced off the cave walls and quieted everyone. Raksha howled again, and soon all the Alphas had started howling, including Sandalio. All the Ahbrius began to howl and they ran out of the caves, careful to stay in formation. The cold nipped and Sandalio, and the thick snow was hard to run through, especially at the front of the line. But Sandalio realized that if he pulled his ears back and pointed his tail, it was much easier to run through the snow. Also, the faster he ran, the warmer he became. Soon, Sandalio was running through the snow without any trouble at all.

The hunting pack ran for awhile, still not catching anything, when a scent hit Sandalios pointed nose. It wasn't prey, but something else, just hundreds of feet from them. Without hesitation, he jolted away from the hunting pack and followed his nose. He could barely make out a small, bright pink blob through the snow and fog, but it was there, alright. He could smell fear on it as he came closer, but he had to know what it was. The blob was slowly moving away from him, but abruptly stopped and fell to the ground. He finally reached the most unique creature he had ever seen. He cocked his head to the side curiously.

It had two large black ears that were a light blue inside. It's eyes burned a magnificent golden orange color that were surrounded by a black face mask. Her snout was short and blue with a black button nose. Three blue circles lay just beneath the black surrounding her eyes. The creature's fur was the most illuminate pink color Sandalio had ever seen. It contrasted against the plain white snow. In between both ears were two long antena, striped pink and blue. She had a large, bushy tail that was pink, but changed to black, and blue at the tip. Her body was small and fit. All four paws were small and a dark brown color. But the most unique and glorious thing about the creature were two magnificent wings. They were draped in pink feathers with blue tips. However, one of it's wings hung limply at it's side, matted with red.

The creature squinted her golden eyes and growled. Thinking it was a game, Sandalio jumped from side to side, wagging his tail. He barked loudly and grinned. The creature looked confused and said something in a language Sandalio didn't know. A rumbling sound came from the ground. Sandalio looked behind him and saw the hunting pack. He barked and ran quickly to his mom, eager to show her what he found. The hunting group surrounded Sandalio's new friend, unsatisfied looks on their faces. "What is that?" one of the Omega yelled. Sandalio sharply faced the Omega and growled lightly at him. Lakota sheperded him away from the Omega. "It's a Braenon!" another Omega called, growling. A Braenon? Sandalio thought. What's a Braenon?

Asim says -Darts to side- Oh really? -deep playful growl- How much do you think so? Even though you do have a terrain advantage,but its good because the snow is more of a challenge!

Asim says Just to put it in simple terms, i had an assignment from the creed turn into the worst case scenario for me. But that is in the past ,all i have left is a dagger scar. -shakes snow off- Where'd you go? -head low to the ground and searches for you-

Asim says In no order, Stay your blade from the flesh of an innocent Hide in plain sight Do not compromise the creed (or the brotherhood) I've never been around snow before, where i come from it is usually warm, showing on how my main is not as thick as some of the Ahbruis in your Pride.

Asim says But remember, the Creed has three rules, and i was bad and broke all three, but i learned my lesson and have never done it again. I'm woodland, ice is hard to walk up! XD -looks extremely funny trying to run on ice- What is this stuff?

Asim says I was being arrogent and did not obey by my creeds three rules, all that needs to be said. Betas don't go hunting? Thats no fun! *Chases after some more but get hits by a branch and laughs-

Asim says You are wise beyond your year young one, alright, but i am fast so yah better run! *Runs playfully after* (OCC: Rare side of asim XD But we all have an inner kid) What did you catch on your first hunting trip? Lets say that my creed is like a Pride, you attack one of us you hit us all, we all stick up for each other but we carry out various missions assigned to us, but there are no beta or omega. Instead there are number ranks, from 1-9, 9 being highest, i am rank seven even though i have been demoted down to one, you dont want that to happen, its rather bad. But after the number ranks comes the guy thats like the Alpha, there is only one of him that controls the WHOLE creed, no matter where the members are at! :)

Asim says Wow, an alpha, What kind of game? *tail wag* Well, nothing really special, i have a job that most Ahbruis do not have, due to the fact they live in packs. Well, life is pretty good, i mean no use complaining, it get you no where! :) Better to be thankful for what you have.
