Her head was spinning.
What had the girl put in her drink?
She was not at her mentor's house any more. There was no dinner table here. The opulent, though uncared for, hall was gone. In it's place, she saw a rather dingy alleyway. Her dress was, however, surprisingly clean and her hair was still in place. It was as if she had not even touched the filth in alley and yet lain unconscious there for what seemed like ages.
She tried to piece together what she remembered to figure out what exactly had happened.
There was the dinner. The little girl had given her something to drink. She remembered finding the whole atmosphere strangely eerie. The girl's voice deeply sinister. Even her mentor wasn't the same.
That's all she remembered.
She turned around restlessly. Where was she?
With great effort, she hauled herself up and scampered towards the end of the alley into the street. It was bustling with people. Surely she would be able to find someone to help her out. She was Jane Sullivan after all. The girl whose voice had mesmerized the world.
"Excuse me?" she called out to a woman standing a few paces away. There was no response. The woman didn't even turn.
Maybe she didn't hear her in all the rush and noise.
She walked up to her and tried talking to her again. "I'm sorry to bother you, but could you tell me where I am?"
Again no response.
She was getting annoyed at the rude behavior. She extended her hand and tried to place it on the woman's shoulder. To her shock, it simply passed through the woman's body.

Personality Jane is a sweet simple girl. She is very trusting of others and, hence, easily cheated. People take advantage of her and she has very few real friends. She probably knows this but rarely admits. Her demeanor is usually cheerful though she is a little shy. It doesn't always deter her from trying to make a conversation; but with people she doesn't quite know, it tends to get awkward really quickly. She was tricked by her mentor, who became jealous of her success. Jane's spirit has been separated from her body as a result of which she has been reduced to a lonely, wandering wraith. Her body is hidden somewhere in her mentor's mansion but spells prevent her from coming near it.
Appearance Jane is a slender short girl, about 5'2. She has long red hair and blue eyes. Her skin has a rather pale hue and her lips are thin and light pinkish. She is a petite cheerful looking girl. This is her real life appearance but being a spirit, it is not visible to everyone. Often she possesses someone for her purpose and takes up their appearance.
