Perhaps it is best to have bad memories fade into the mist. I have become used to answering when called Skar. It is seldom done in a derogatory manner, usually others say it with a tinge of awe and respect. My real name is Perceivel and I was a quy and shiet reader of books and gazer of the skys. My dream was to someday work in the village Book store and perhaps arrange a story time for the youngsters of Mistica. I still have this dream but realize with the way I appear now that it i based in futility.

You can see by looking at me how my story ends but in the beginning....we were just a mixed group of Mistica youngins, it didn't matter if you were Gourix, Cheran, Obsideon, or any particular species, size or color. We hung together. That said, I suppose I should get to the point of my ramblings. (please forgive me as my mind seems to wander more than my body is able to these days) As near as I can recall we decided to take a week long trip to the Itzair Ruins and camp at the Oasis. The elders had been talking of the good times they all had exploring the ruins and even mentioned there might still be some gold to be found in the quarry. GOLD! Of course, we all wanted to know more! The elders said we would need to wait to hear the story about the time before the Mist when the Golden Temple was built as our Jomboyo Village storyteller was on a trek and not expected back for for a year. I am so sorry, I digress again. With all these thoughts running through our heads it didn't take us long to be packed up and on our way. We took most of the day crossing the water over to the banks by Kelpie Fortress.That night ,by the pitiful flames of what we proudly called a campfire,
