Silvermane is the first Cheran to arrive at a certain clearing in the forest, on Halloween 2016. It was a new moon that night, and very dark, so it was by the light of her own glowing mane that she planted a magic acorn. She was soon joined by another Cheran, named Treefur, who had a way with plants and helped her with the spell. By morning there had grown from the acorn an enormous, hollow oak, with a spiraling staircase inside, and many rooms, for it was much larger on the inside than it appeared from the outside.

For nearly a year, Silvermane and Treefur hibernated in the tree, recovering from the great magic they had wrought, until the forest again took on the colors of autumn, and Halloween approached once more.

Thus began a phase of great activity, as they worked to decorate the rooms, stock the pantry and library, and establish the garden. They had barely gotten started when they received word that three Cheran were requesting to join them at 723 Oak Hollow to live, and this request was accepted. The new arrivals are due to arrive on Halloween 2017.
