A quiet girl, Shinrei has lived alone most her entire life. No one is certain of what happened to her parents, or if she had any other relative to help raise her. What was known about her was, she had a unique and special talent with metals. She could forge anything from any metal, though her specialty lied with gold. Her skills were well known and she rarely had a day free from her work, many people paying a high price for her goods; though, if they ever payed with gold, she'd simply make a creation out of that, not really needing to keep money for herself. Any profit she did make off her skills, she gave to the homeless children of her village.
However, as many jobs as she would take, she would never take a job asking her to make weapons. She simply would not create things meant for fighting; though, there was one time when she was asked to repair a sword for a warrior friend, the only weapon she ever fixed; it has yet to break or chip again (it rarely gets dull as well). And although she gets these requests often, she never accepts them; she does get threatened for it at times, but stays diligent and will threaten never to make anything else for them if bothered about it more.
Besides being an excellent metal smith, Shinrei is also a rare coloring of tiger. She keeps this hidden however, by adding a dark red coloring to her coat, making her look like a normal red-tiger. She knows her pelt is extremely rare, and so, keeps it hidden. If she is ever seen without her darkened disguise, she usually begs whoever saw her never to speak of it, often bribing with her golden trinkets. This secret is dear to her, and so, she will do anything to keep it hidden. Otherwise, she is a very sweet girl, easy to talk to and get along with; but not one to get to know beyond simple friendship.
