With a broken compass, it was too easy to get lost in Darkwood Hollow. Cold, hungry, and about to give up, I began to cry, curled up in a ball in the middle of the woods. I felt a sudden rush of cold, which caused instant fear on my part.. and as I looked up I could see why. In front of me was the biggest wolf I'd ever seen. I'm talking like, 135lbs of long haired wolf. She looked rugged, and extremely feral. I stopped crying and stared at her, wide eyed. She took a few steps toward me and I froze. Eventually, she was right in front of my face. I knew not to move a muscle, and I tried my best to not show my fears. The truth was, and still is, I am a 5'1" tall defenseless girl, and no matter how hard I tried she could sense that. But just then, she defied my expectations: She immediately began to lick my tears away.. and then continue to nuzzle against me to warm me up. I was in shock, and in love. From then on, I called her Shiloh and she has been with me ever since.
