Mythos
Basic information: Rome won't have an 'official' gender. Actually Rome will be gender neutral. He/She will have the ability to appear as either gender. So Rome will be both. This is because I couldn't decide if I wanted to follow the idea of the past Emperors and Generals of Rome (Starting with Romulus and Remus) or if I wanted to do the idea of 'Mother Roma' aka the Holy Roman Empire. So why not do both? :D
Rome will remain a Jinx because I find it fitting that he/she will resemble a sort of mythological creature of that time period. (Not to mention I just love Jinx. x3) As for theme, Rome will be boxed Inferno when it is released. I saw him and instantly thought Inferno because of the whole idea of The Glory of Rome.
Anyways, I have been studying Latin for 4 years now, so part of his/her profile will be featured in Latin.
Rome would be my first real immortal character. He/She will have the ability to appear at vary ages that correspond with the rise and fall of the Empire. (This will often reflect fatigue, exhaustion, and emotions that would be expected from each period.) And as for the he/she thing, because the Empire split in two, in times of great stimulation, Rome will split into two beings, the female version and male version becoming two seperate entities.
I don't have an overly complex back story yet, but he/she will be the embodiment of Rome. The male side is persumed to be Romulus, the original founder, who judges each prominent figure of Roman politics/life/militia when they die. The ones that he approves of are absorbed into him, adding to the Glory of Rome. The ones that he rejects are cast off to the deepest bowels of the Underworld, fiercely gaurded and monitored by Warten. (Another pet of mine. :) ) Generally has the appearance of a legionnaire/soldier, sometimes a more highly decorated one, sometimes a lowly foot soldier because Rome was built on their backs. And once in a blue moon he appears as a Counsel man.
The female portion of Rome is a rather tantalizing figure. Much beloved by her people, and almost irresistable to all those outside her domain. Fierce and warlike like her male counterpart, but with a more feminine air. If she can't get what she wants through ways of seduction, temptation, and empty promises, then she will take it with force. The pride of Empire, nothing can compare to her in the citizens' eyes.
