Personal Quotes:
"I am the queen! Listen to me when I'm speaking!"
"Hade you moron!"
"I live for my kingdom."
"Isn't my fan just lovely. Ruby red sure is a fiercer color."
Personality:
Biae as a child was down to earth and studious. But as time went on, she came out of her shell and began to show a very pompous and edgy side to herself. She soon became very demanding, cruel and devoted all of her time to bettering her manners and speech writing for the sake of being a better queen. She is known to verbally attack others, due to having a short temper and little patience for anything that isn't right in her eyes. She is also secretive and reserved in terms of emotion. Despite veering away from books as a child, after learning about her royal duties, she has slowly begun to read again and takes any opportunity to do so. Biae sees little need for emotional involvement no matter what the circumstance. But beneath her arrogance, lies a heart that truly cares.
Physical Apperance:
Biae has a small, round face with slightly defined cheekbones. She is of an average height and weight but has small skinny arms. Her hips are very wide and she has large, defined calves. Her eyes, which are hazel, are medium sized, has a small nose and very large lips. Her white hair, with rainbow streaks, is parted down the middle with two stray strands that hang over the right side of her forehead and the rest is hung in a ponytail.
Attire:
Ardace adores the color red, so as a result, mostly everything she wears is red. Her dress is a vibrant red color, that is Lacey around the puffy sleeves and the bottom hem and it reaches to just about her ankles. It also had a large ruff that is attached to the back of the dress and extends over her head, the outside fringe is black. Her sleeve cuffs have a lace geometric pattern inside of them. In her hair she wears her silver tiara with three auburn jems and places a large clip with a skull on it. She wears black and red heels on her feet and always carries her key red folding fan.
Relationships:
Hade:
Biae admires Hade's skills as a swordsman but dislikes his attitude. She finds his womanizing tendencies to be irritating and often yells and or hits him out of frustration. She is perfectly aware of his feelings for her but she doesn't feel it's a topic worth discussing at the given time. Overall, she enjoys his company, the kindness and support he has to offer her and his teammates.
Pennie:
Biae finds Pennie intriguing and adores her sense of humor. It bothers Biae, that because of seeing her as a threat to her relationship with Hade, she cannot befriend her. Despite Pennie's avoidance of her, Biae makes her best effort to remain curteous
to her young friend. However, she does get annoyed by Pennie's tedancies to swoon over Hade during battle. She finds this act distastful and unorderly. She is fully aware of Pennie's former noble status, but keeps a secret due to wanting to protect her. She hopes that eventually the two can see past their differences and finally accept one another.
Rammy:
Ramierz and Biae hardly interact with one another. She can sense his power beneath him whenever he's near. She fears for the sake her people, due to his uncontrollable fire abilities. She remains outwardly optimistic, praying that somehow he can practice enough to a hold on his powers. She feels strongly that Pennie will the one to aid him, due to the fact that he has feelings for her. Ardace feels that love happens for a reason and tries to get the two together whenever possible.
Story:
Ardace Biae was a queen unlike any other, even from the time of her birth. She was perfect as a child of royalty could be, her eyes were shining and her cry was so sweet and soft. Her parents couldn't be more proud to have birthed such a glorious offspring.
With hazel eyes and white hair, she was a sight for sore eyes. Certainly, her
parents thought, no man could avoid her gaze. She'd rule the land with great
power and no one would be immune to her charms.
But Ardace had no desire to rule with an iron fist. She would rather sit and
read her books. She couldn't deal with her parent's constant blathering about
how she needed to start thinking about her future. Little did they know, she
already had.
Each day, she'd spend hours reading her beloved books, absorbing as much
information as she could. She loved to learn more and was eager to gain as much knowledge as she possibly could. Biae thought that through reading, she could be a queen who would be ready for anything. But Biae soon learned that being a princess was more about taking action and less about being hypothetically prepared.
As time passed though, Biae became absorbed in the fulfilling life of being a
princess. She could soar above the rest and no one could ignore her.
At balls, she was the one to watch due to grace and elegance on the dance floor. She was the talk of all the young princes, since her beauty was second to none.
She adored the attention and compliments she received everywhere she went. So naturally, she believed that one had to be as beautiful as possible to gain any respect.
From that point on, Ardace cast aside her books and sat herself in front of her vanity mirror instead. She felt giddy, thinking she was helping her kingdom by dolling herself up.
Each day, she'd spend hours brushing her hair, making sure it was sleeker than anyone else's. Due to sitting by her mirror, that lay adjacent to a large stained glass window, the tips of her bangs and behind her head shone with the colors of the rainbow.
Officials and seers alike stated that the a legend from long ago told of a
princess with rainbow streaks who would grow up to rule the land in a way that none had ever seen before.
Curious about the legend of the rainbow streaks, Biae began to ask around the kingdom for information. She wouldn't dare return to her books to find the facts she sought, because in her mind she felt she would become ugly if she spent only a moment away from her brush and mirror.
So days passed, and no one had a single answer for her. She thought she might try and visit the town that was nestled just below her castle home. Perhaps the peasants can be of assistance she thought.
Biae went to town the proceeding day, followed by her local servants. She
wrapped her hair in a tight bun and wore no crown, to avoid being recognized.
She singled out a group of boys who were shouting at one another. They were dressed in rags, taunting a smaller boy with dark blue hair. She had no idea what drew her to this group, but she went and asked anyway.
"Excuse me gentlemen. I have a question to ask of you, if it's not too much
trouble. Do you know anything about the rainbow streaks myth?"
"What's it to you toots," one of the boys grinned as he stared hungrily at her.
"I heard some folks talking earlier and I was curious," she replied sheepishly, angry internally at herself for not spinning up a better lie.
Suddenly, the smaller boy with the blue hair perked up.
"All I know is, my dad said that anyone with streaks that are the colors of the rainbow is destined for greatness."
Her eyes shone with an underlying arrogance. Yet outwardly, she remained as cool and collected as a princess should.
She bid the boys adieu and walked ahead towards the direction of her towering
castle home.
With her hope restored and pride surging through her veins, Ardace danced into her room.
When she galloped inside she found her parents sitting on her bed.
"We've been waiting for you to return princess," her father thoughtfully
replied.
"Yes dear we have a gift for you. It's something every young monarch should
own," her mother said with a grin.
Biae closed her eyes so she wouldn't ruin the surprise, in her hand, a ruby red fan was placed. Her eyes danced as she gazed at it, what a lovely accessory, she thought. She then proceeded to skip around, opening and closing the fan as she leaped. She then realized what she was doing and composed herself as a lady should do.
The fan would be a sign of her power and legacy. In due time, she'd be
remembered as the greatest queen that has ever lived. She certainly had time to prepare for her reign, for her parents weren't going away any time soon.
She’d spend the next two years taking her princess “training†more seriously, using her now signature fan to beckon servants and give orders. Her new harsher demeanor she thought would ensure a healthy rule with little opposition; she would avoid conflict and keep her citizens safe. Nothing could go wrong, for she had prepared. But the blood red queen to be had not counted on a little boy blue.
In the wee hours of the night, Biae heard a crash. She bolted upright and found the same boy who had alluded to her tale years earlier. His hair had become shaggy and he had gotten much taller.
The look in his eyes however was not that of a curious teenage boy, but the eyes of a cruel and merciless thief. He was only after money and jewels, and was clearly not the bright eyed young man she had met years earlier.
With cold eyes bearing down on him, she cried out, alerted the others in the castle that there was a stranger afoot.
Within minutes, guards arrived and took him away to the dungeon to spend some time with her other lowly prisoner that lurked below.
With a grin, the scarlet princess laughed in victory. Monarchy had triumphed over thievery, as it should; royalty is the true meaning of righteousness. She fell back to sleep post haste.
She awoke the following morning feeling quite distraught. Turns out she had underestimated the skills of the young man, for within half a day; he had broken free of his prison cell and was standing in her parent’s throne room.
When her parents had finished speaking to both him and the young girl prisoner, whose name was revealed to be Pennie, she was called over to them. Her parents hoped that she would decide the fate of the two prisoners whom she had never met before.
Biae thought rationally, what would a real queen do. Her mind raced in both fear and aggravation. Her mind called for justice, but her heart sought another answer. As she gazed into the eyes of the prisoner’s she saw no evil in their eyes, only hope and a desire for change.
Guilt washed over her, these aren’t crooks at all, simply people who have made terrible choices. In that moment, she discarded all former thoughts she had on the idea of being a queen. Clearly the rules had to be rewritten.
There was such a thing as forgiveness, if equal compensation can be made, and she was sure in this case she found a reason to forgive.
After speaking to both Pennie and the now named Hade, she learned of their skills as swordsfolk.
Her heart pleaded with her, she couldn’t let them suffer, she couldn’t bear the guilt. They only wanted answers, just as she had sought out reasons for why she was the way she was.
It was then that she devised a solution. Biae withdrew her thoughts of superiority and leveled with the people she had once labeled as commoners. Hade, due to his advanced swordsman skills, would replace the now senile guard. He would personally make sure Biae reached all of her destinations safely. Pennie would serve as his apprentice, due to her skills not being developed as Hade’s, but still impressive.
Her body felt warm, she then knew that the true key to being a successful queen was to be giving when she can, but she wouldn’t reveal her weakness to anyone else. After all, a weak heart is easily swayed and that usually can lead to a kingdom’s downfall.
Three years would come and go, Biae watched as Hade and Pennie sharpened their skills and became acceptable swordsmen. Biae took her position as the queen of the Celeyti kingdom after her father’s passing. The transition was both exciting and tragic. But, Biae rules justly and makes each choice with caution, as a memorial to her late father. Hade now showed romantic interest in her however, which led to her feeling awkward. Although Biae had to admit, he wasn’t a particularly horrifying fellow. She wrote a note in her journal to address the matter later. A third fellow joined her group of swordsmen, seeking a master in the art of fire. He was promising young one, who could prove to be useful later. She hopes that one day, Pennie will see eye to eye with her, royalty has to stick together, and of course she has to get over Hade because he’s simply not interested. She’ll see someday. Biae fanned herself and smoothed out her ruby dress, what a day in the life of a grand queen. Her work was never done , especially with so many books in the world that are left unread.
Hello My Subjects
says I had heard of the former King. That description fits him aptly. But... yes, beautiful. Out of necessity you could say. But enough on that topic. What is one of royalty like yourself doing out and about with the common folk?
