You know how you seem to put on a different personality depending on who you're with or where you are? That's what one would call a 'persona'. Putting on a persona isn't always a bad thing, it's good to know people's likes and dislikes and act accordingly but do you ever wonder which one is the real you? Is it the you that's out with your friends on a Friday night? Is it the you that goes out to dinner with relatives? Or is the way you act online the real you? Perhaps you answered no to all of those things. In fact you probably do not know which of those persona's is your 'true self'. One such person has that same problem but to a even higher degree. One known by the name 'Persona' is said to be constantly changing, be it looks or personality it was hard to tell which was the real him. Even he, himself didn't know who or what he really was.
History:
Persona is in fact not human, he is a creature created to be much like a chameleon or shape shifter. He was not created by one person alone though nor was it on purpose. He is a being made from those persona's people pushed deep down and often times never used. A unholy collaboration of personalities people did not want. Despite that he has a fair grasp on 'himself' though he constantly seems to change, he does not forget those he's met. It's highly unlikely they'll recognize him next time they cross paths though. Back to the main point though, when I say Persona was created that is only part of the story. He was created but also 'born', some say it was a mistake by God that a creature was born with so many persona's and others say it must have happened for some purpose. So far Persona himself isn't too sure but at the time his mother (whom was single due to his 'father' ditching them.) took great care of him even when he often times came to her looking and acting different, she accepted him. When Persona was 19 his mother passed on from illness, luckily he was able to support himself though the many jobs his persona's accumulated but losing her left a heavy feeling on his heart. Some of his personalities seemed to handle the grieving differently but either way without his mother he didn't really have anyone close. After all, how could he? Getting close to someone who constantly was changing was probably near impossible.
