Overdose watched his companion scramble back the way they had come, jumping a fence and disappearing. Narrowing his eyes, he scanned the area before him, an empty backstreet into which the alley he had stationed himself in emerged. There was no sign of the little pest anywhere. He cursed under his breath, sickened at himself that he could have let such an easy fix slip right through his fingertips. He hadn't had a fresh round of D in longer than he cared to remember. The sneaky little halfbreeds were starting to become an endangered species, it seemed.
The wind decided to pick up a bit at that moment, carrying a very distinctive scent straight into Overdose's nostrils. He grinned manically as he determined the direction of the scent's origin, revealing razor sharp, elongated canines behind his pale lips. This was going to be child's play.
