About Necromorph

A genderless, undead abomination of unknown origins, rumored to exist on the same lines as El Chupacabra and the Mothman. Legend has it that it is a demon made up entirely out of dead flesh with the capability to infect others and assimilate them into its monstrous form. Its rumored location is at the farthest reaches of Dire Morana where idiot teenagers constantly seek it out as part of mean spirited pranks and bets. Few ever return, though whether or not their disappearance is directly related to the Necromorph is a matter of debate.

Rarely venturing out during the day, Necromorph is said to be a creature of the night. The reason for its existance is unknown. Being dead, it does not eat. It does not sleep. It merely lays in wait for lost travelers or thrill seekers that come looking for it. Once it catches sight of a potential victim, it will stalk them relentlessly until either they manage to subdue it long enough to escape or it catches up to them. It cannot be killed as it is biologically immortal and capable of regenerating damage, though injuries can temporarily slow it down.

There is said to be a pack of Obsideon peacefully cohabitating with it. How they manage to do so without being killed is unknown, but legend has it, they have found a way to repel it and effectively make themselves invisible to the demon.

There are currently a series of popular video games, B-movies, and web shows staring the Necromorph. The most famous of these is a horror/slasher film by infamous director Charles Cheran, who shot the film during the course of one weekend in his basement with his brother's camera and a budget of $500. The film stared several of his neighbors and friends as the actors, and the part of the Necromorph itself was portrayed by a sock puppet that was held in front of the camera to make it look bigger than it really was. The film bombed at the box office, but quickly became a cult classic over the course of a few years and has helped to bring fame and attention to the ellusive beast.
