Phoenix says *she waltzed over toward him, lifting herself up easily to sit down at the place he gestured to and folded her hands in her lap, wings folding behind her as she simply knitted her eyebrows together at him* It's not boring, *she said finally, looking thoughtful* It's just...different from my nature. The Phoenix is the definition of freedom, a rogueish nature that doesn't have to listen to anyone. And so I was for quite a long time, and I had very little affairs with the humans or any others I considered below me for that matter. I was an essence; no one could really touch me until they captured me and called me Eden. *she flicked her gaze down to her hands, examining her nails as she turned them toward her* I was created for a very different purpose than yours is, and it was even different than what your kind made it to be when the essence of freedom, fire, became a prisoner. *she smiled and looked up at him with a small shrug* So I suppose...this caring thing is new to me. I envy you for being so good at it.

Phoenix says *she glanced over toward him as he spoke, tilting her head some before she offered a small shrug, voice a bit softer than normal* Since I'm here anyway, I can help you protect them. I've never been the sort of being that was overly concerned for humans, but that's just my nature. *she forced a small smile* Maybe your nature is rubbing off on me, archangel~
Phoenix says *she laughed quickly at that, her voice like a songbird though somehow richer, more alluring. A phoenix's voice, nothing less* As tempting as that is I think I'll head inside and see why you act so tortured, love. *she bumped his shoulder as she walked past, glancing around with a bored sort of air. She didn't like Limbo. It reminded her too much of earth...just before everything went downhill* Are you here by yourself?
Phoenix says *she actually looked a little surprised at being flipped over so easily, but as she fell into the dust she made a slight umph but smiled up at him, that stubborn but adoring glint in her golden eyes, as always* I'm guardian of the gates, *she said slowly, taking his hand and pulling herself up with little to no effort, her fiery wings shimmering as they shifted behind her* I have to follow them and they wandered here. Not an unpleasant thing, though a touch lonely when all of the freak show is gone. *she made a mock face of hurt*
Phoenix says *she grinned broadly at his reaction, though of course stayed back far enough so that she wouldn't be spotted. However, as he actually drew his blade she bolted forward, ignoring his words though she heard them and leapt at him from behind, nothing short of tackling the archangel. The momentum caused the both of them to roll forward several lengths, then end up with Phoenix on top of him, knees on either side of his stomach while she rested her hands on either side of his face, a smile on hers as she looked down at him, fiery locks falling down neatly in feathered layers to one side of her face* You know Uriel... *she said slowly in that sing-song voice of hers, for once lacking the sarcasm and bite of flames* I'd never give a fair fight to an archangel~
