Born under the name of Malverlain, this powerful sorcerer was banished from his homeland, and set his eyes on a perfect landscape, Pirra. It was beautiful, peaceful, and without great protection. He has since taken over the lands, and they have become empty, barren, and full of despair. His name has been lost to the tides of time and now he is only know as The Shadow Lord. Now he looks to farther his reach to the lands south of his mountainous borders. He has attempted time and time again to take over the land of Deltora, though each time has been met with bitter defeat. But he is patient. Deltora's protection, it's royal family, the mystical Belt of Deltora made of a grand gem from each of the lands seven tribes, and the seven dragons will one day meet and end by his hand. He is patient, and he has many, many plans.
