Lucifer is the Husk of Sloth.
Lucifer has been on Earth since its inception, as the emissary of Deus and the guardian of the Holy Fire.
While Deus was busy tending to her people, Zerachiel pleaded with the guardian of the Holy Fire, Lucifer, to grant him a small cask of it with which to light the Earth. Lucifer agreed, but on the condition that Zerachiel let Lucifer lay with Deus during his absence, as Lucifer longed for her, but had always been rebuffed.
After their plot was discovered by Deus when Lucifer couldn't speak her true name, she castrated Lucifer, and both Zerachiel and Lucifer were stripped of their wings and cast down to Earth.
Lucifer and Zerachiel have plotted against her ever since.
