Pet Profile

Named after my robin named Peanut aka Phoenix. My mom and I found her egg abandoned by her parents and all her brothers and sisters were eaten by crows. We took the last egg and didn't expect her to hatch, but we were surprised to have watched her hatch and grow! She grew so quickly, and she was so crazy and funny. We thought she was a boy for the longest time until we noticed her brood patch! She was amazing and I am glad to have had her in my life. She was free to fly in and out of the house and would fly back onto the balcony and even back into the house when we whistled, it was amazing! She didn't choose to leave until it was time to migrate and so she flew away some time in November, probably her instincts called her. I am still waiting for her to return this spring and hope she will come visit us again.
