The small purple vix named Lilybell sat in a ball of fur on a big, soft rug next to the roaring fire. It wasn't necessarily cold out, but the big library was spooky at night and somehow, a fire in the fireplace always felt more homey. She was reading a book about potion mixing that Dimentico, a wise Haruba that creates flowers and potions, had given her. Lilybell took a sip of her freshly made pommekin tea, soothing her.

She stretched on the comfortable rug and rapped her bushy tail arond herself. Lilybell had fur that was purple as a lavander flower and soft as silk. Like many Vix, she had a brown mask on her face that surrounded her eyes and cheeks. She had a short snout that was brown at the base, and became more orange-ish brown at the tip. Lilybell's nose looked more like a rabbit's than a dog. Her ears were constantly perked up and had three spikes on the outside. Inside her ears were a warm brown color, like her mask. She had big, purple eyes that could charm just about anyone. They were full of imagination and hope, constantly gleaming. Her body was short and covered in her silky purple fur. Lilybell's tail was long and bushy, much like a boa. It was purple, but had a brown tip. Her front paws were small and brown with short but sharp claws. Her back paws were also brown, but were rather large with huge sharp claws.

Lilybell, like most Vix, was built to climb up trees with sharp claws and to balance with a large tail. But, Lilybell was not really interested with climbing in trees, but rather reading inside a cozy library. She was incredibly smart and had almost read all the books in the Mistica library. Lilybell also was quite imaginative and dreamed in vivid details. Her dreams even predicted the future. She was not quite sure how this was possible, but it was. Glinda, the Princess of Mistica, had put Lilybell on the mistic council for being the official "dreamer" of Mistica. For accurately predicting disasters and good fortune in Mistica, Lilybell was rewarded with the library of Mistica.

Lilybell lived in the library. The library was in the middle of Misitca in a huge garden, created by Dimentico. Vines grew all over the outside walls and willow trees offered shade and beauty. A serene pond with lilypads and soft rye grass surrounding it was a great place to read. Beautiful flowers and trees were all over the garden, and it was always beautiful, rain or shine. Inside the library was just as marvolous. The whole thing was circular and halfway underground. Since the whole library was circular, there was only one wall, and it was all maple shelves that carried books centuries old and brand new, with intricate carvings between each row. At the very backside of the library was the brick fireplace and a cozy sitting place to read and relax. Lilybell's old fashioned desk was next to the front door and the surrounding shelves had her own personal collection of favorite books. The whole ceiling was a big window that was wonderful to watch when it was sunny or raining.

Sine Lilybell lived in the old library, she had her own room. Inside the library, there was a break in the book shelves where there was an old, maple door. Inside was her room. It was small, but suited her well. One wall was an entire sliding glass door where she could see the garden and walk around in it. For her privacy, there was a light, purple curtain she could pull that would cover it. Lilybell's bed was close to the ground. It was squishy and comfortable with a purple silk blanket that was surprisingly warm. It was a nice room, and Lilybell was very happy with it.

Since Lilybell lived there, she was in charge of everything. At the library, there was no particular system of how books were arranged. Being very smart, Lilybell had remembered what and where every book was in the old library, so she helped customers find whatever they needed to. She dusted the shelves everyday, and read constantly, working on her mental collection of books. Lilybell stayed at her desk often where misticpets would come to check out books. She had a log book of every book where she could mark when and by who they were checked out and when they were due.

But library hours were over, and Lilybell had the whole place to herself. The words in front of her swam across the page as her eyes grew heavy. She gently drifted into a soft sleep. A loud knock at the door jolted Lilybell awake. She looked up though the glass ceiling and frowned. It was the middle of the night, who would come there so late? Another frantic knock echoed throughout the circular library. Cautiously, Lilybell stood on all fours and slowly walked to the door, assuming the worst. "Please open!" a voice came from outside. "Who is this?" Lilybell asked. "I need your help!" came the voice. It was a gruff voice, belonging to a male. Hesitantly, Lilybell opened the door and what was on the other side was a sight to see.

It was some sort of creature that Lilybell had never seen before. His skeleton, rather than being inside his body, was partially on the outside, a sort of ecsoskeletan. His skull was a wintery blue color, and from it burned two blue eyes, full of fear and bravery. He had a long snout with a powerful jaw from which hung a blue tongue. He had sharp, pointed ears that stuck up and were very dog-like. His whole body was draped in silky fur, black as midnight. Unlike his skull, the creature's spine and ribs looked more like a part of his fur, rather than a real skeleton. White snowflakes were dotted along his fur, and they looked very real. The creature had blue paws and the tip of his tail was blue as well. He was in incredible shape, so it seemed. But what was really odd about him was a glow around his body. At first, Lilybell thought it was a trick of the light, but she knew that it had to be real.

On his back, the creature carried a long, black, jewel encrusted staff which looked as though it carried magic. He also had some sort of a satchel on his back and was carrying another, smaller creature on his back. She couldn't really make out what he looked like from the doorway, though. In the same, guff voice, the creature asked, "I need your help. May I please come in?" In shock, Lilybell just nodded her head and opened the door for him. "Thank you, Miss." The creature was surprisingly polite. He came inside the Library and put the other small creature on one of the sofa's in the sitting area.

Lilbell looked at the creature. He was obviously the same species as the other creature, but he was much younger, about Lilybell's age. He too had silky fur black as midnight, but unlike his friend, his skull was not visible from the outside. His mane was bright green and slightly messed up and dirty. His snout was not quite as long as the other ceature's. His ears were slightly too large for him, and one seemed to naturally flop over. This creature was also very fit, but he was still thin. His spine and ribs were also a part of his fur, just like the other creature. But, he didn't have snowflakes on his fur or a blackish glow around his body. The creature was not concious, but was shivering like crazy. Lilybell noticed a small wound in his back.

"I'm Trouble," the bigger creature bowed. "Um, excuse me?" Lilybell said, shocked that someone would introduce themself as trouble. "Trouble is my name," he said. "This is my little brother, Jumurio." Lilybell was shocked that anyone would name their son Trouble, or Jumurio for that matter. "What's going on? Is he going to be okay?" Lilybell indicated to the shivering Jumurio on the couch. This whole experience put Lilybell slightly in shock. "I'll explain everything later. Right now, I just need to find help for my brother." She could tell that Trouble was trying to be polite, but there was a sense of urgency and fear in his voice, something he was obviously trying to cover.
