The Black Carriage
A phantom carriage parts the darkness
On its way to where there is light

They don't remember anything of who they once were, only that all they had left was each other. Two spirits so close they melded into one, sworn to never leave the other's side, else sorrow take the both of them. For many years they would run through the nether, no direction nor goal in mind, confused and lost in that unknown world. Until a white wolf found them among the mists, he was old and wise and patient. He guided their road through the afterlife until they learned to become themselves, for there was no turning back, no point mourning the past, accepting their fate they headed for the future with newfound confidence. Yet they never forgot the kind wolf, they've sworn to serve him as a familiar whenever he calls.
And so it happens that every now and then a black carriage would drive through the quiet town of Altstadt, reins held by a pale elderly man and the vehicle itself pulled by two dark horses of like minds.
