The night was bright. One of those nights where the moon sits high in the sky and is full, casting a bright hard light on the earth below, stretching the shadows long and tall in its angry blue light. The trees sway gently in the fall breeze, branches bending and cracking. It sounds like your being followed, you turn your panicked fright colored eyes to the left, "Just the trees..." you think to yourself, but the chill in your spine contradicts that comfort. You pick up your pace. -CRACK- You whip your head around, this time to the right, still nothing, you begin to turn your head to the front.. but whats that?! No you must have been imagining it. You're scared you're making up phantoms. You look for a long time still walking. You could have sworn you saw something... Something red, glowing... like eyes maybe. You hear a gentle Swish and scrapping sound, like a dogs nails on pavement. You jerk your head forward again, You're almost Running along a path that seems to go forever. Looking all around, and running you don't notice the dark shadow right before you until your just a few feet away... Those eyes, glowing red. You halt, eyes wide, heart pounding, your lungs shocked, you don't breath, you stand there like a deer locked onto headlights. Now you hear it's ragged breathing, smell its putrid breath and then it whisper.. "Kaaazi..mraaaa..." You want to scream but cant, you blink and in that instant you open your eyes you see a flash of jagged yellow teeth. Then your eyes open again, but this time to the bright morning light creeping in through your blinds. You're in your bed, safe... At least you hope that that was just a nightmare.
