Down in the deep, dark depths, Jetsam lives a mostly solitary lifestyle. He has a keen interest in life above the surface of the waves, but prefers to watch and learn as a distant observer. At dawn, dusk, and sometimes during full moons he hides just below the surface and spies on the coming and goings of ships. He quickly disappears if spotted.

Never able to get a good look at him, there are stories of a massive serpent with hundreds of glowing eyes that stalks the ships of ill-fated vessels. While most chalk this up to elaborate myth, even staunch disbelievers will tell of an eerie feeling that the sea sometimes "watches" them back.
