Grigori is a Grey Warden of the Anderfels and Milans father. He has the rank of a Warden Commander and for a Warden he is quite old an well respected by the small group of Wardens he is commanding. He is known to be stubborn and he dislikes the First Warden, the leader of all Grey Wardens. In Grigoris opinion the First Warden is to much interessted in poitical affairs.

Grigori was born in Ferelden, but his mother was from Anderfels and his father was a simple farmer from Ferelden. He had a hard but sheltered childhood. He allways dreamd of becoming more than a farmer. He loved the stories his mother told him about the Anderfels and the Grey Wardens but never expected to be part of them one day.

When he was 15 years old he decided to serve the Couslands. His father did not like Grigoris decission, cause he expected him to take over the farm one day. Deaf to his fathers pleas Grigori run away only to become a simple stable-lad. Displeased with his fate he started to train with a sword in secret he "borrowed" from the soldiers.
Bryce somehow was aware of what Grigori was doing and was impressed by the ambitious young man. He decided to give Grigori a chance and consigned him to his soldiers Commander's care.

During the time serving the Couslands Grigori fell in love with Bryce younger sister, Irina and after some time Milan was born. Irina died while giving birth which left Grigori shaken, still he tried to care for little Milan but vainshed 4 years later only leaving a letter explaining that he had to go, begging Bryce to take good care for his little son.
